Chick:- Now that’s a coincidence, I do my best not to get on a tube unless I have to. I walk from the station as it’s a lovely walk in 10mins or 15mins sardined closer than I would ever be on the tube with people:eek:
T'Lady,The moon walk appeals but like you say it’s an extreme way to see the city for a somewhat unfit lady, I think I'm intrinsicly (sp) lazy more of a sponcerer
1.What a difference working from home makes, that extra hour or 2 waking up was bliss, esp when feeling a bit under the weather.:o
2.Got loads of work done and learnt loads today and still learnt, self teaching about word styles from the web.
3.Took a break with a tea by the garden pond, in the sun, watching the vivid red and blue damsels playing and counting the pond lily flowers finally making a bid to open.:j
4.Not so much a pleasure worked out our bills on a spreadsheet and 2 weeks pay going straight out as it arrives to get us back up to date. But hey a big pleasure all round the first pay in 4 months....:D:D
5. My 10p flowers are still opening up err 10 or 11 days on.:)0 -
Evening all.
I'm trying to think cheerful, healing thoughts at my bad foot, which shows no signs of wanting to get better. If it doesn't, I'll have to have surgery - minor surgery, admittedly, but still not something I'd choose.
So, happy thoughts:
1) One of my dahlias has its first flower - I hadn't even noticed the bud as the flowers are exactly the same colour as the acer it's sitting next to.
2) Went to get some more cheap moisturiser (see yesterday's post), and managed to combine various vouchers and offers to also get £2 of bonus points on my loyalty card, a free gift, and a £5 voucher. :money:
3) Cream cheese and tomato sarnie for lunch. It was one of my childhood favourites but I haven't had one in years - it was even better as the cream cheese was free, of course.
4) Arranging an exchange of flower seeds with my DM.
5) Sunshine. :j
6) Pork fajitas for dinner. I'm making a concerted effort to empty the freezer as it's needed defrosting for months, and keep finding more tasty things lurking at the back.
7) Pub quiz tonight. I'm determined to go even if I have to hop all the way!
Ooh, ooh, another pleasure:
8) I won a book! :j
OT - happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you-oooo, happy birthday dear OT, happy birthday to you!
Kittikins - positive thoughts coming your way. I hope you and your DD enjoy the cereal.
Frith - grrr, is all I can say. Surely the school can't treat you and your DS like this?:mad::mad:
Have a nice evening, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
Well, Kitty will be doing girlie things and eating chocolate. So here is my sums for the day
1 Sun is out here, Ms Sonny has done the washing etc, Now she needs to get the ironing bored out. Good girl and kiss kiss, we know she shoulders around the parish.
2 Gentle reminder, if I am in the bar, and had one or two wobbleades, I may use phrases that children should not listen to, but I do not speak to the barmaid like that, cos I may return. Now, to the blonde girl in the garage. the shirt you wear represents the company you work for, and while you are in the shop, on the forecourt or what, your still represent that garage. So the prfanity that is implied, whether the price of goods in the shop are extortionate are a personal opinion, not for a profanity induced tirade. You never know who your next customer is.
3 Got to snoggle up tinites with ms Sonny as we are watching a flick together. Paint Your Wagon. Poor girl, I reckons she will giggle tooooooooooooo much. Wonder if I will get a choc ice ate half time!
4 Dog burger and chomp at work this morning, good chatter and home aka knackered.
5 Good job I gave up ciggies, otehrwise there would be a smoke screen or something. Do we not go snitch overbnored these days.
6 Suppose there is a righteous way, doing just and right. No oppressions, but returns the pldege that was the loan. Sees it to return goods not theirs, but instead gives to the needy, and clothes the naked. Do good to those around you, some take the easy route out. Tell them no, that is not the way, do so with some clout. We are not numbers, for tick boxes anymore.
The figures for the team have been met, because one of our own, HAS BEEN IGNORED
They exclude, becuase the figures need to be righted. By a system so f...... short sighted. Scrap heaps.
apologies for the f word.I hvae nt snept th lst fw mntes writg ths post fr yu t cme alng hre nd agre wth m!
Cheers! :beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:0 -
Evening all
oldtractorthese are for you
enjoy !!
Frith (((hugs))) you must be worn out
The exclusion letter is standard and I think its mainly to stop parents letting older kids hang around the streets when they are excluded. They dont consider practicalities when they send them out they are so ridiculous !! They cant stop you going out lunch times
Dont worry too much about the work - they wont expect you to do it all, and it probably wont get marked... my DS school never bothered even tho I made him do it
CCP (((healing hugs for your head and foot ))):D
My 5 for today
1. Good sleep, relaxing morning, got ready to go out with friend.
Mind you, I was ironing clothes when there was a big bang and I rushed to front of house to find lower glass panel in front door had shattered. Thankfully its safety glass and only front panel of double glazed unit has blown but it was a shock. No bricks outside so cant find any evidence of why it shattered and will cost £89 to replacebut thankfully have emergency fund even tho would prefer not to part with my hard saved cash
2. Did finally get out in the lovely sun
3. Visit to The Range, treated myself to new mirror in sale
4. Went to Crown Carvery for lunch as had a voucher and not far from The Range, buy any drink and get carvery for £3.50
5. Drove home and popped round pub for vino and chat with friend
Back to work tomorrow but only 1 day then off till tue. ( Was supposed to have all this week off but had to cancel friday and use the leave to cover time off for grans funeral earlier this year. )
Have a good evening x0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
House sale OCT 2022 = NOW MORTGAGE FREE 🤗
House purchase completed FEB 2023 🥳🍾 Left work. 🤗
Retired at 55 & now living off the equity £10k a year (until pensions start at 60 & 67).

Happy Birthday OT :bdaycake:
1. Visit to Mr S to get headphones, got 3 till spits, one for 80p 'brand difference', one for £3 off next £30 shop, one for 30p off yogurt which I needed so took myself round again and bought the yogurt which was originally £1. Used the 30p off voucher so they owed me 10p! Got another 2 till spits, one for £3 0ff £30 shop which I'll give to DD and another for 25p off cheese which I've planned to buy on my next shop. I love Mr S today :j
2. Got stopped by someone doing a survey, filled in a form, have to fill one in over the next 10 days about my car use, and I get £15 L2S vouchers for my time. Another C*******s present sorted
3. The fencing contractor came and quoted for a 4 feet high fence, it was about £75 less than I thought it would be so gave him the go-ahead and as he knows how urgent it is he said it will be done tomorrow morning.
4. Made some mw flapjacks for the fencing contractors to go with their cuppas tomorrow
5. A whole tub of raspberries and loganberries picked this evening, the better weather is really ripening them now
Sweet dreams0 -
1) I took myself off for a walk with my best friend we had a laugh and I manage to test drive my new chair so I can take off to the Local Country Park and Parks in theory, a very successful and productive day despite being hindered by exercise induced asthma which made my steps too small.
Away from the stresses of life here, away from the narrow range of sunshine that has to be watched and caught to enjoy, away from just limiting my steps to my positioning my chair -my other chair wherever the sun is-but somehow have an alabaster complexion. Away from prowling neighbours who could cause me contagious mental illness from striking up a conversation with me in the Garden.
2) Seeing my friend today who is always a laugh and always makes me laugh, we only have to see each other to laugh. A day is healthy if we see each other as we always have a laugh.
3) I brought a camping chair for friend so she could plonk herself anywhere on my Iphone to her absolute amazement when I tried to prove to her that I can shop as best as anyone! I downloaded Amazon app did a search et voila!
4) I did some reading on my Kindle with french radio on my Iphone Nostalgie 60's in the centre of the Park which was lovely.
5) I am making a meal of Leftovers: Egg and Coleslaw Salad with pan fried walnuts to add crisp.
Hi folks too tired!:money:#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

Happy birthday, OldTractor! Sunny here much of the afternoon (and now, in fact) so hope you had some over there.
Well, a pants start to the day. Getting better only now. 2 hours or so to get any sort of work out of smaller son. It was exhausting. But here are 5 or so.
1) Eventually, smaller son had a mad fit and did 2 maths worksheets, read 2 stories and we made a mosaic (!)
2) Football in the sunshine. I suppose the village hall car park is "in public" but never mind. Perhaps I was teaching him the PE he is missing?
3) Letter from CAMHS that they want to speak to me without smaller son there. By a fluke, it is when smaller so is away so I can manage it.
4) Kittens are a pleasure. They are making their way outside now and then.
5) Pasta for tea with brocolli and little strips of last night's gammon.
6) Went down to the river but it was too deep and fast flowing to go in today.
7) My sister came round on her way home from work and brought a bag of clothes from her colleague for my sons. Some fit, some will fit next year.
Have been a bit remiss with my finances which has annoyed me because I am so good usually. July sees my house insurance renewal, car insurance renewal and new tax disk. I just about made provision for those (like to pay for the insurances in one go). But hadn't thought about changing to PlusNet. It was a better deal if I paid for the year's line rental in one go - so I did - but am £130 down because I did that.
And MOT next week and I have already paid £75 for the new windscreen yesterday which will be part of that. :-(
Funny how it all comes together.
OH has also annoyed me (although, to be fair, ANYONE would have annoyed me today). I said sons are both playing up in different ways and he said he will "have a word with them" on Sunday and tell them a few "home truths". Well, I'm afraid they/I need the interference of him like..... no, in fact we don't need it at all!
8) ooo, another pleasure now smaller son has reappeared in here. He is SO TALL. Bigger son (11) is now 4 foot 10, so very average. Smaller son has grown 17cm in 18 months (!) so at the age of 8 is now a whopping 4 foot 9! He'll be off all the charts again. :-)0 -
Happy Birthday Old Tractor hope you had a lovely day0

Happy Birthday OT :T:beer:
Frith - what burdens you have to bear - TILAMS is right, it's for the system to balance it's books and for the school to go up the ladder. So short sighted.
So for today
1. Went to work briefly but didn't want to leave poorly DS as DD had to go into school so I came home. I'll do the work sometime but it wasn't today
2. DS and I watched Big Bang Theory - very funny and i'm not sure really suitable for DS who laughed through all the bits about sex
3. Managed to do the shopping this evening so don't have to go out in the terrible weather forecast for tomorrow.
4. Joe Browns have a sale
5. DD made a fantastic spiderman cake - but apparently she is never doing it again and my kitchen is testament to the mess she made, however it can wait until tomorrow.7
Night allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
:bdaycake::bdaycake:Happy Birthday OT sorry I missed in the earlier post hope it was a fantastic day:beer::beer:0
