Mcculloch - what a lovely idea to buy flowers on what would have been your mum's birthday. I am going to borrow that if I may?
Please, please do! I do the same for my Dad, his birthday was Dec 31st, so I often get fantastic Christmas bouquets for pennies to remember him with.
Today.
1. Cleaner came. OK it would have been more OS if I'd done the cleaning but I can't.
2. I finally got round to filing my 2011-12 tax return online. It took me about 90 minutes and about 15 of that was spent searching for an employer's PAYE code. I'd been putting it off for the last three months and every morning woke thinking 'I must do that today'.
3. Chat with DD on the phone - she has been very busy, but was telling me all about her involvement with the community allotment - and her hopes of taking over an overgrown allotment locally.
4. I have arranged to pay for DGD's senior school uniform. I am praying items are not at rip-off prices. As it's an area of relatively high unemployment I'm hopeful that the prices are reasonable.
5. The live music club - half a dozen of my favourite local artists were there, such a wide mix of musical styles - trad folk, country & western, singer-songwriters, chart hits, Sixties, swing, Noel Coward... We are exceptional in that all styles of music are welcome even though people insist on calling us a 'folk club'. Well, about 20% of it, yes!Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -

CCP hope your head is feeling better todayDD had a presentation at school tonight. This is the last time we will go to the school as parents . She has passed her ASDAN and COPE (these are both to help kids that learn differently gain a qualification). The COPE gives her the equivalent of a GCSE B so very pleased as she works so hard but sometimes feels like she is not getting anywhere.Chickenopolis wrote: »Skint- happy birthday for yesterday  .You have a week off so its your birthday week so I think you should get gifts everyday ! _party__party__party_

Good evening all!
What lovely weather we have darn sarf...
5 for today
1. Site visit completed , a colleague came along to help so an epic task completed .
2. The company had implemented all of the issues I had asked them to sort out urgently. I have been fobbed off before so I needed to evidence everything within an inch of its life.Which has been achieved.
3.My Mum has gone out so I scooped up the dog to take over to my house for the evening .
4. Hens and dog came face to face they rushed to see me and the dog rushed in the gate - no blood spilt.
5. Declined a invite for a meal for someone who I know who is getting married . I purchased a bottle of rather good quality expensive champagne for her engagement and she didn't even bother herself to say thank you .I need to keep people like this at arms length as it will happen again and again and I will just feel resentment towards her.
6. One more day then off until Monday!:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
1. Up early (I must train Bert to lie in later than 6.30am in the mornings but Chicken and TILAMS would be proud of him
) so got lots of little fiddly clearing up jobs done before I went out
Phew, bin busy.
5 Had a couple of blowouts, phew. Gentle reminder to caranvan owners. Check your Caravan Wheels and van before setting off. A421 yesterday, off came someone's wheel. smoke and screech. Holdiay curtailed and van slides alonmg the road. Had anotehr blowout tonigh, with korma sauce, just checked on Ms Sonny and the bobbles bubbles over the stove. Still Ms Sonny is in licking it up.
4 OK, just to say, the Korma. Boild Long Grain rice, 8 mins and rinsed. 1 large chicken Breast (Butcher does 4 for £5, does four good meals), chopped. Toe Nail onions, mushrooms and peppers. Fry in pan with garam masala, cummin. Finish with Raisens.
Sauce, Coconut owl, waitrose, bowl with Kafir Lime and lemon grass, with tumeric. Strain, add spinach to sauce, with chilli. Boil. Add as necessary to chicken or other mix. Decorate with desssicated Coconut.
Serve
3 Rub tummy with Pleasure
