Evening all
CCP poor you, hope your head gets better now
Cousin Ribby Mine is in a pot on the patio. I also buy one for family occasionally if they're having a birthday/anniversary, if you did the same we could have a chain of them throughout the British Isles
OT thanks for the name of the company, I went on their site and they're even cheaper than the one I've been using
Chicken I love the mental image of the cat perching on the water bowl, not funny for the dog though!
1. Up early (I must train Bert to lie in later than 6.30am in the mornings but Chicken and TILAMS would be proud of him) so got lots of little fiddly clearing up jobs done before I went out
2. Good work out, managed to complete the whole routine. I'm getting used to it slowly, can't believe it was only four weeks ago I could barely stagger from one contraption to the next
3. DD had here one month assessment, she told the trainer she intends to do a 10 mile run next March to raise funds for Hounds for Hero's, so he's devised a programme for her which will build up her strength without causing any stress. OS in as much as it's all included in the monthly fee.
4. Back home, went through my wardrobe and tried on some clothes I've bought over the past two years. Mostly from the cs but all too good to get rid of so I'll be getting the sewing machine out to take them in
5. Boiled egg and soldiers for tea, wasn't planned but just fancied it and the egg was just right, lovely and yellow and creamy. Perfick
Sleep tight0 -
1. NSD
2. Did an online survey, so will have another £4 LV coming my way soon, hoorah
3. Rainbows was cancelled, so DD had an impromptu playdate with 2 friends over, lots of laughter and silliness, love having people over, must do it more often
4. Will be taking another little chum up to school tomorrow morning, he's such a sweetie
5. My mummykins emailed to say she's ordered wool to make me a jumper, yippee!!
6. Cakes at work to celebrate a colleague's birthday, nomnom
7. One of the friends who lent us camping paraphenalia (sp?) was very surprised and pleased to receive our thank you present of a big box of choccies when we took her stuff back
8. My physio emailed me to say I've been allocated some more sessions, what a relief, I'd be really sad to stop now as I am seeing progress, albeit little and slowly....but anything is good!
Phew, managed to get to 8, not a patch on the other day's 20, but ho hum, I'm feeling a bit bleugh today. My stupid leg is hurting more than it has in a very long time, must be the rain or something, and I think I've pulled a muscle in my neck as it's hurting as well. What a whinger eh?! Both ends of my body giving me gip, grrrr.
Going to have a quick mooch around t'internet, have a hot shower and retire to my boudoir with more painkillers. Wish OH was here to give my neck a massage, he's very good at it.0 -
Ello its lovely reading all the pleasures, and VJ's/Chickens slapper comment made me laugh out loud:)

Feeling a bit zombified today but here goes
1. Had 9 hours sleep without waking thanks to Nytol - the best way to beat the jetlag
2. DS not well but at least he got lots of sleep and I have spent time with him. He is giving lots of hugs so I know he isn't well.:D
3. DS and I had bacon sandwich for lunch
4. Went to DDs new 6th form for the parents evening. She has had a lovely couple of days and we were really impressed with the school generally
5. Home made bread we were making for tea was a soggy gooey mess so I had yesterday's left over pasta - was yummyI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

Evening
Pleasures for today,
1. Remembered to take some cereals to work with me for breakfast so didn't resort to the biscuit tin
2. My lovely friend H announcing her engagement, I have known for a couple of weeks and keeping such a happy secret was very hard.
3. Someones birthday at work and had the most yummiest cup cake.
4. DD had a presentation at school tonight. This is the last time we will go to the school as parents . She has passed her ASDAN and COPE (these are both to help kids that learn differently gain a qualification). The COPE gives her the equivalent of a GCSE B so very pleased as she works so hard but sometimes feels like she is not getting anywhere. The SENCO staff were lovely and you could see the affection between her and them as she has spent so much time with them over the years.
5. Cooked a chicken, bacon and pasta dish when got in and didn't resort to takeaway which was the temptation.
Hugs to all who need them0 -
Hi everyone!
1) I made a freaking successful Suet Pastry twice, there wasn't enough to make the lid and ended up with a beautiful round dome from my Tesco Bargain gotten half price! I am making a deliberate effort to cultivate my Inner Masterchef because it is more likely to help me survive in the future. I keep stretching myself with new recipes, next time it is shortcrust and various savoury puddings.
2) Housework clothes on so I can force myself take out the rubbish I am in bad habits about.
3) I made a Raspberry Lime Juice and wee bit of fresh cream mess for pudding to celebrate a recipe on La Tartine Gourmande for Ice lollies with those selfsame ingredients on TBM List.http://www.latartinegourmande.com/2010/08/02/raspberry-and-peach-popsicles/
4) Big News Day so Twitter and Internet, have to do some MSE work later on to be a good MSE'ER.
5) I made a long list attempted too of Food resources, Freezer, Cupboard, and Fridge so hopefully I will have better control of resources and ceast to waste lovely organic boxes.
6) plans afoot for some independent food shopping ie away from the big Four including beloved Waitrose including Ocado so viva la revolution!
7) I woke up reasonably early in the sunshine after my Iphone Medical sleep app apparently worked for the second night running.
http://www.geek.com/articles/mobile/review-pzizz-sleep-and-pzizz-energizer-for-iphone-the-software-cure-for-insomnia-and-exhaustion-2010062/
8) Breakfast: leftover Aubergine, Red Pepper, Onion and Pak Choi in Black Beans (excellent way of incorporating beans!) in Kung Po Sauce RM with Thai Rice served cold but did the job provided not overincorporated but separate flavours.
Lunch: No Lunch
Dinner: Long time planned Bacon and Leek Suet Pudding a HFW recipe from The Guardian (yes MSE I am bloody pleased with myself! I got the timing perfect!)
http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2010/feb/06/steamed-pudding-recipes-fearnley-whittingstall
My 3 hours on Hi in a 6.5 Morphy Richards did the trick and culinary instincts proved excellent
Pud was a whole packet of Tulameen Raspberries from despised Mr Tesco whose unfailing ability to exploit me comes after I get the hit of a spend. Raspberries, juice of fresh lime, enough sugar, wee bit of fresh cream et voila!
9) Orientation is more reading, TV is !!!!ing me off. TV is an insult to us lower orders reading dignifies. Reading is giving me an appetite for TV to recover.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.
Reading whatever books I want to the rescue!:money::beer[/B

Phew, Tuesday nearly over!
1) Bigger son off to school OK. Smaller son not going at all...
2) Went to the optician and I am less short sighted than I was!
3) Went to mum and dad's for tea.
4) Saw brother's barn conversion which is coming on well.
5) Went to bigger son's school parent talk thing. It was deathly dull. They had basically put the school prospectus into a power point and it was half an hour of reading out something I had already memorised anyway!
6) Now sitting on the sofa with next door's cat and her 3 kittens and will have a cup of tea just now and watch Holby. Also have some hoummus so will have that with some orange pepper slices. And perhaps some carrot.0
