1) got up early and walked across town to hotel where i was teaching. Bought a bread roll on the way for breakfast. Felt like being on holiday
2) teaching went very well. Enjoyed myself thoroughly
3) Have been asked to do a job with someone i thought i was in competition with. I think we'll make a good team and pleased smt has recognised it needs admin AND acedemic input :T
4) course meal nom nom. One of the saudis offered to read my palm. Not something i would normally agree with. He looked at it, said something i was expecting was going to happena lot sooner than i expected in the next 6 months. The fire alarm then went off (false alarm) and then he sorta slumped very dramatically and sed to me my hand was very interestin and he must speak to me in private tomorrow.

Aye TILAMS, I agree with that one.
Fortunately Frith you've got your head screwed well and truly on. My daughter was off the charts until she was a 6' 2'' adult, know how you feel.
1. I didn't go to Barnard Castle, cos I was there on Saturday. There was a DELUGE. I would have been in real danger of being swept off my feet, judging by mobile footage on Look North. Ankle deep water swirling down the Market Place, which thankfully is on a hill.
2. Did go to Darlington and the Cheap Greengrocers. Lots of lovely cheap fruit. Must make this a weekly trip. 6 Class II Sharon fruit for 50p, ditto 6 doughnut peaches, 1lb Victoria plums and 6 large Jonagold apples.
3. Such a quick tea made for son - salmon cooked in micro and couscous, and he was so appreciative.
4. Got a lovely £40 top in X Cat. shop sale for £3.49. Black evening wear, will do nicely for holiday.
5. Competition prize arrived - a Dettol No Touch Union Jack handwash.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
