Sunday teatime here, so my weekend pleasures:

    1. Have read 2 books back to back!
    2. Got school shirts dried on line yesterday.
3.aaaaah bisto! Bought (far too bloomin' expensive!) gravy granules! So having HM steak pie, roast potatoes, cauliflower & broccoli for dinner.
4.Huuuge ironing but watched Glee DVD whilst ironing.
5.Saw some sunshine today, not warm but nice to see blue skies for a wee while.
6.Nice chat with friend & sister.

OH is quite poorly so it's been a quiet weekend. So I suppose MSE by not going for lunch/Saturday scone!

Skint I have a terrible confession - I'm sitting here playing with the comp when I'm supposed to be on 'highway patrol' ie driving the 3 m-ways it takes to get to see my DM. Have to take a different route to avoid the A1M round Knebworth cos there's a festival on, and I'm so not looking forward to it. However, I did tell her I'd be with her about 11am so better get my skates - or should that be water skis - on and face the Sunday drivers :(. Oh, it's just occurred to me I'll be one today :rotfl:

Enjoy the day whatever the weather :)
  • Churning mockers.

5 Already done the spotted !!!!!!, and yorkshires for tea, all Ms Sonny has to do is get her tattie peelers out.

4 and to think there is one serving of Christmas pud left as well

3 All is well here, just got doctors on Tuesday. He has not rung ... Could be some ...

2 Three lots of pennies from heaven came yesterday, one from a customer who we had given up on. Bingo, paid in full as well. Lottery win and found a penny on the floor.

1 Listen to the deceitful, how their tongues are forked with razors. Their destruction comes with them. Let them live on their pyres.

Ignore them, as they seek their ills unto you. Gather round you those who care, listen with your ear and then your friends will flow, into the like of your goodness.

    welcome cousin Ribby

    5 for yesterday

1 Managed a bit of a lie in aftre oH had got up and gone to work
    2 DDs chocolate brownies
    3. Yummy fajitas for tea - even DS liked them
4 Watching love actually with OH - DD came in during a "naughty" bit and was cringeing. As it was comedy I wasn't too bothered that she was there - if it had been dodgy I'd have turned it off
5 DS had a friend to play all day which kept him occupied and away from the X box

Busy day ahead - packing for Montreal, finishing my presentation, sorting out work emails. Making sure the washing is up to date and the house relatively tidy.

Help!! just seen the time - I'd better get at it.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Hi everyone,

Sorry, I haven't been keeping up very well, but hope you are all good and hope that mrs Chicken is keeping out of mischief??

Will try for 5 for yesterday.....

1 it was oldie's 30th! birthday :D She was on form causing her usual free range mayhem while we mucked out, then we had a little tea party in the afternoon and she had some of her gave treats. She's such a diva and was really lapping it all up!

2 It's been a successful fundraising weekend for me for EMW (chicken, OT). Some of their fundraising events have been cancelled, so I put a few bits of jewellery on therimfundraising FB page and so far they have raised almost £100, which E is very happy with!

3 I sorted out my beads and have far more that i realised - oops. So lots more jewellery making planned!

    4. Unexpected, bittersweet cheque back from Gem's insurance company. Feels a bit like her final gift to me

    5. Effective and cheapy dinner of RTC (to £1.50 from £11ish) pork joint, with homemade apple sauce (freebie apples liberated from the ponies' stock last year) and veg. I'm not convinced that we should need to be eating wintery comfort food in June, but it went down well!

Hugs to anyone in need and welcome to the newbies xx

  • Hello again all
Have been lurking (on phone) not posting this week. I get a bit shy tbh:o
    Anyhooo, 5 for yesterday/today:
1Made bread, lemon drizzle cake and fruit cake
2sausages and mash and onion gravy for tea (in flaming June:(
3home grown peas and potatoes for today's dinner
4Bought £12 worth of seeds in Wilkies - would have cost £50+ full price so I know what next year's garden will contain already. (anti-Bryn is planting lambs lettuce as I type)
5Suns now shining - the washing has been out 3 times already today.

    Happy Sunday
    xx
