5 for today
1. Let hens out at 5.45am and went back to sleep until 9.30am .
2. Went out for lunch with my brother in law - a bit of a tradition when my sister (his wife) goes away with my Mum .I had macaroni "soup":rotfl:I think the "four cheeses" had split. BIL went outside for a fag and was chatting away to an ex colleague - he thought I was married to BIL , then once enlightened said I was good looking and was I single ? ? err no , and my nose was all crusted up having blown it so much and I probably had several of the four cheeses in my teeth :rotfl:
3.Dog and hen came face to face - one rushing in to kitchen and one out - no carnage thankfully !
4.Cravings for granny smith apples and gallons of french sparkling water - must be something to do with the cold . Not I am not up the duff.
5.Thought it would sweat it out on exercise bike whilst watching tv . Seems to have worked.
Goodnight all!:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -

Evening all
Mhags sending healing thoughts your way, and including you all in my prayers tonight
Chicken it was Summer Solstice yesterday! For I think the first time ever the longest day was on the 20th, as it was 1 second longer than today
KB hope you feel a bit perkier soon
TILAMS I'm old enough to remember watching Tufty and Willie with my children! I forego the vino these days so I'll just have a nice cuppa, if you please
1. The HA inspector turned up at last, having left me waiting twice before. He somewhat reluctantly agreed the stair wall needs completely re-plastering, I told him my decorator can't/won't paint or paper while the plaster is flaking and bubbling. He agreed to do it when I pointed out it was a shame to let one of his properties deteriorate for the sake of a bag of plaster. Ot perhaps it was the blueberry and cream filled Victoria sponge that swayed him
2. Had a good gym session this morning, it's getting easier by the day
3. A friend came for a cuppa this afternoon, she enjoyed blueberry and cream Victoria sponge too. I don't have a sweet tooth so haven't had any, I just like baking for others. Of what's left two slices go to DNeighbour and her DD, the rest goes to DD for DSiL and DGD2
4. My Peace rose is blooming again. It gives me just three blooms every year, but they're so beautiful I have to take annual photo's of them! Some of the loganberries are ready to pick, it's going to be a super crop this year. it's amazing what a couple of dry days have done
5. Watching my (no longer) secret pleasure, Secret Millionaire
Sweet dreams0 -
Ooh sparrar, hope you enjoyed your sponge and cuppa.
Morning all and everyone. It is windy, you can tell the nights are drawing in now, had to put light on in front room, I nose, not very MSE!
5 Pennies from heaven have arrived. These things when you least expect them, they just roll in and away we go. Thinks I can liquidate them with ms sonny down the jar tonight. After a couple of babychams she giggles a lot. Makes me happy as well.
4 Stiff as a bored this morning, two tablets and we will see. If not ok, ms sonny will love me at home instead.
3 Dump run later today, old pc from 1998 given up ghosts and off to its makers. Hard drived erased, good bits grabbed out, degutted and filleted.
2 Jenny, my pacemaker, gives a kick and a buzz to those who want one, I give some xxxxxxxx, and thoughts are with us all. Be brave mshags, you love him as much as Ms Sonny loves TILAMS. As my niece puts it, a hugger hugger.
1 coming in a minute, I am on the iPad and it ..
Here it is, keep threshing the grapes of the harvest, and this shall continue until the spring. Though the fruits of your labour will be so sweet.I hvae nt snept th lst fw mntes writg ths post fr yu t cme alng hre nd agre wth m!

Stop Thread. Ms Sonny has. Burnt the toast. Fire alarms going off, wooden spoon time, to shut the thing up. Now, they are tested for another month, have you tested yours?I hvae nt snept th lst fw mntes writg ths post fr yu t cme alng hre nd agre wth m!

I'm just about to have the electrician rewiring my house put in wired in smoke/heat detectors, thanks for the reminder Sonny x0
-
It used to be when the smoke detector goes off brekkies ready in this house:rotfl:, I'm a "bit" better with it now.:rotfl:0
-
Smoke detectors weren't invented whilst my Mum had the family at home. Probably just as well. Every other morning I'd waken to the sound of toast being scraped as Mum made breakfast for us all.
She always, always did a dozen things at once in the kitchen and the toast was always left that bit too late under the grill. No toasters for us.
I also remember Tufty, his Mummy, Willie Weasel and Mr Policeman Badger. Always on just after Watch With Mother at lunchtimes.
1. More Royal Ascot.
2. A lovely photo of Angrove Rumbaba enjoying his summer holidays on FB. He'll be back in training in August.
3. Unexpected chat with sister on phone this morning, got the day off to a good start.
4. Just spent some of my Amazon vouchers in ordering 3 Punchbowl books, 2 of which I've never read. I hope DGD will enjoy them too but they will be loans only!
5 Oops forgot to add 5. Two full size samples of shower gel to trial in the post.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0
