hello, my Saturday pleasures:
1.Was cold & wet....so I get to wear my boots, my coat and scarf & gloves....and use my beautiful new (to me) brolly!
2.Nice train journey to city with OH, I like to look in all the gardens, saw lots of lemon trees. I think I will try lemon growing later this year! Would love to walk into the garden and just pick some lemons of the tree!
3.Whilst OH was having his Radiotherapy treatment, I flicked through some magazines & solved some crossword clues that someone else had started! (very satisfying ,getting the answers they couldn't!) also got a couple of 'trust' books, read them & take them back! An excellent idea.
4.We had a lovely, lovely lunch. I could not believe the size of plate it was served on & was even more surprised that I actually ate it all! I think it was the nicest meal I have eaten in Melbourne!
5.Bought half price mini loaf tins in one of the department stores in city. Lots of sales on just now but managed to resist! Will make some mini carrot cakes.
6.Going to have a bath and a read of one of my 'new' books.
7.Saw the end of the Jubilee Concert, funnily enough the only bit I saw was Paul McCartney, thought it looked fabulous! Gave Her Maj, 3 cheers from me!
Enjoy your weekend x0 -
Afternoon! Popped on to give a few pleasures for today/yesterday. Been a bit busy so here goes:
1. My kitchen is nearly back to normal after being painted - yay!
2. Mr Kitchenbunny asked if I wanted takeaway last night as he was on his way home a bit later than normal - said no and cooked toad in the hole instead. And very nice it was too and saved a few quid.
3. I'm going through my old cookbooks to see what I can get rid of. Some I don't even look through now.
4. Proper cups of tea. I'd bought a box of cheapo ones but they were awful. So, I treated myself to a box of extra strong ones. Happy now!
5. Quiet. Plus, I'm just about to embark on a bit of a baking mission. Chicken & Bacon pie for tea, and a batch of cookies for pud.
Hope everyone has a lovely Saturday. Take care

Frith:- ooh I have everything x’ed for the ebay kitchen it sounds great.
Muculloch:- It’s great when you discover forgotten clothes gems.
Chicken:- How are you feeling?
A sneaky pleasure from yesterday, watched Arthur on Sky movies and was really pleasantly surprised, I didn’t think I would like it but it was real laugh out loud and double meanings throughout, really good.
1.A much needed NSD / NPD
2.Up early and I kicked my bum into gear to clean up the place.
3.A very tidy bedroom having been dusted, vaxed and washed down the walls yikes, washed and gale dried the bedding, well it’s my idea of tidy, and burnt a joss stick so it now smells of all the shops in Camden hmmm maybe not so good.:rotfl:
4.4 loads of washing done and dryed in the gale, including the bedroom curtains ( I’ll hang them back up tonight;):o).
5.The foodie side of me is looking forward to food tonight of burger in a bun with salad and chips.:)0 -

Evening all.
TILAMS - your talk of foam beer reminds me of my DF telling me that a neighbour, knowing he liked beer, gave him some J--- S----'s as a present - he was grateful for the thought but the stuff (I won't call it beer!) ended up being donated as a prize for the local school's tombola!
KB - mmm, chicken and bacon - my favourite pie! (A little OT (off topic, not oldtractor!) but I saw a cafe has opened near where I work that sells nothing but pies - 30 odd varieties of pie, cooked and ready to be taken away and eaten. I'll have to find an excuse to drop in one day and try some some time.)
sparrer - I'm very partial to melanzane parmigiana, too, as is my DSis - she doesn't like aubergines usually, but will nom them in parmigiana form.
1) Decided to take inspiration from someone on this thread (was it PK?) and just sleep until I woke up - at quarter to twelve.
2) My current favourite brunch of hard boiled eggs mashed on to buttered HM granary bread.
3) NSD and NPD.
4) Finished the revision for my exam on Monday - or maybe just got fed up with it. Possibly a bit of both, tbh.
5) Changed the bed so I've got nice, clean sheets to sleep on tonight.
6) Repaired some of the gale damage to my garden - a few things are a bit wind-burned but, except for one snapped climbing bean plant, nothing seems to be seriously damaged.
7) Chopped up a mini melon that I'd forgotten about and it's still fine to eat.
Have a good evening, all, and a good next couple of days - I won't be posting tomorrow as I'm off to spend a night in a hotel before my exam so I don't have to fight the rush hour traffic on Monday morning. Then 10am Monday is exam time - wish me luck!Back after a very long break!0 -

3. Had some dog and horse time today - just me and them instead of all the work and no play.
4. A nice chat with a friend and putting the world - and men - to rights!

Rainy days - I have thought about redying a grey jacket I bought some time ago. Maybe I'll give it a whirl. Might turn it black
