    5 or so for Saturday

    1) Bit of a lie in.

    2) Cooked breakfast. Bigger son asked me to get some "non herby" sausages from the butchers so I did.

    3) Annoying letter from the County Council saying bigger son can't have a bus pass for high school because the high school is more than 6 miles away. Have written to my district councillor to complain. Its not our fault we don't live less than 6 miles from a high school!

    4) Went to mum and dad's for tea.

    5) Phone calls from OH. He couldn't text as his mobile met a sticky end this afternoon. :-D

    6) My school friend came round and has just gone home.

    7) Made some very nice cookies from a condensed milk recipe.

    8) Sons both jolly today. Just found them both asleep in the top bunk, bigger son sleeps normally under his duvet then smaller son sleeps the opposite end, on top of bigger son's duvet and underneath his own. :-)

TILAMS it's amazing what comes with the pension ;)
VJsmum thanks for that, I don't salt it either (I don't salt anything much) so will give it a try

    1. Woke up freezing so had a long hot shower which helped. I can't believe this is flaming June! Then a bowl of fruity spicy porridge and all was well again

    2. Went to the garden centre and got a friend a purple speckled orchid, and a purple flower pot, for her birthday tomorrow. The pot was on the ys shelf marked down from £7.99 to £3

    3. Went to Mat Alan and bought a pair of size 12 chinos on the reduced rail, down from £12 to £5. Still a bit tight but it won't be long before they're comfortable

    4. Went to an art exhibition with a friend this evening, the artist paints her emotions and although I'm not really into modern art she told the story of each one and it all made sense. I didn't buy the most expensive one :o

    5. Said friend and I stopped at a chain restaurant on the way home, as it was late they were on the point of closing but allowed us to have a snack meal and charged us half price as the food would have been disposed of otherwise :j

    Sleep tight :)
  • 1) Homemade Frozen Pork and Prawn Wontons successfully cooked today.
    2) Nice bath a bit overdue.
    3) New Lakeland Dish Cloth system seems to be working a dream and keeping Sink top clean.
    4) Making Lentil and Basmati Dosas with any luck just soaking then fermenting as online instructions.
    5) Lovely zipped Waitrose Bags and Eheleyne discs so I can keep Riverford Organic Veg out the way of flies and they will keep better.

    2. Managed a trip to Horsham and back quicker than I thought and traffic was good.

    3. Cooked beef stew and rice pudding for tea.

    4. Filled oven with some parkin for DS1 when he's in the Lake District for 5 weeks staying in various youth hostels. More baking today for cakes that don't keep as long.

    5. Chat with a friend on the phone.

This post is based upon true facts. These events did occur.

1 Shot down a couple of Spitfires last night, whilst amusing myself with the Bishop. Ms Sonny's Foam beer has been seen off and is now doing good in the Roses.

2 Why does the stupid tiger insist that Ms Sonny has to feed him. His bowl was down a seven, Ms Sonny up at 9, cat finally gets tucking in when she is around.

3 I preferred Purdy in the Avengers, but that is a ...

4 Bristle plooming down, brush soap and wet shave. Cannot beat it, and sploshed all over with some spice

5 Codpiece for tea in Grumble Tart, with Parley sauce, peas

Teach an inexperienced person to be clever, the young to be resourceful. In all times, be honest, just and fair. This will let you recognise wisdom.

Sunday evening here....almost Downton Abbey time !

1.Chilly again...so get to wear boots, coat, scarf and gloves! :)
2.Brunch with OH and a read of the papers.
3.Shopping today as we didn't have time yesterday, a few bargains and Aldi had McVities Digestives & choccy ones & choccy Hobnobs & Birds custard powder and proper Jelly Babies...not Australian imitation ones! Would have been rude not to stock up!
4.Had a lovely snooze this afternoon!
5.Baked this morning, made little carrot cake loaves and cupcakes and a banana & date loaf. 2 pots of soup. Then for dinner tonight have just feasted on lasagne, mashed potato & peas! And about to tuck into pear & apple crumble! Stuffed!

    It's a holiday Monday tomorrow,so it's such a nice feeling knowing I don't have work!

    1. Stripped the beds and got the sheets out on the line drying.

    2. Descaling the kettle with vinegar at the moment, should make it better and boil quicker.

    3. Cleaned the main bathroom an odd fusty smell was coming from there - think the bath u bend might be the culprit but dealt with that by soda crystals, bleach and a kettle full of boiling water, smell has gone!

    4. Cooking lunch at the moment - roast beef.

    5. Will be putting my feet up this afternoon and I might have a session with the tarot cards - see whats on the horizon!
Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money :D
