Morning all
Who was it said they didn't understand some of sonny's posts? I know that feeling! Not a clue what he's on about and spend ages trying to decipher for clues - a bit like the Telegraph cryptic crossword, it has to be done. Maybe it's an age thing (mine, not sonny's). But there's always one little gem of wisdom, as in his #3 today, and being a cat lover I'm pleased their mog recovered from his over-fed topple

Evening all.
sparrer - your day yesterday sounds fantastic.
DundeeDoll - I'm sorry to hear about your problems with your OH's family. Hugs to you and OH both.
1) Woke up this morning feeling in the mood for a lazy day, so that's what I've had.
2) NSD and NPD yesterday, and NSD and almost NPD today. (I used a small amount of petrol pumping up a going-flat tyre: it hasn't helped much, though, so I think it might need a professional to look at it.)
3) Had a response from my OU tutor about the personal email I sent him: he wasn't offended at all and has taken my advice. Actually, I think it was coincidence and he'd already decided what to do!
4) Mog has forgiven me for the cruel torture I inflicted on him yesterday in the name of ridding him of fleas, and allowed me to have a cuddle with him a little while ago.
5) A nice warming pasta bake for dinner tonight, with an accompanying glass or two of red wine LO from the weekend.
Have a good evening, all, and enjoy your wobbleade or alcohol-free alternative. :beer:Back after a very long break!0 -

Oh, now I understand. Or don't. Well, maybe. I think. Ummm....?

Evening
Here's my pleasures for today:
1. Today has been the 2nd NSD in a row! Major big thing for me
2. There are a few of the chewy cookies left in the tin
3. Had a lovely curry for tea.
4. We've just finished watching the Jubilee concert we recorded - started watching it last night but it got to 1:30am with an hour and a half to go so we called it a night. It was great though - really good tv.
5. I've decided I'm going to try and learn a new language - can't decide between Chinese or Portuguese.I always feel better when I'm learning.
Well, not a lot to report. Gardening plans have been scuppered by persistent rain, which was a shame as some friends had invited us for a bike ride. Never mind, plenty of time.It has been a nice restful day and hopefully will be a calm evening. Hope everyone has a good one.
Glad things are a bit brighter today, Dundeedoll
K xxTrying for daily wins, and a little security in an insecure world.0 -
Glad you feel better DD as someone possibly once said "Nil illegitimi carborundum"
Sparrer - your canal boat sounds sublime
Am loving SOnny's posts - but not sure thats the point
Kitchenbunny - loved the concert apart from Paul McCartney. WOn't say too much in case there are fans - let's leave it at "not my cup of tea".
Where's Chicken?
Back home now and 5 for today
1. Bit of a lie in, still not much of one with OH around. He's very much "I'm up so we're all up". Then we wake up and he goes back to sleep
2. A mooch round Ashbourne with DD. DS got time off for good behaviour. Ashbourne was largely shut, except for
3 lunch in a rather nice deli !!! cafe. ooh for goodness sake, swear filter - it said a different spelling of "come" !
4. Uneventful journey home and the packing / unpacking wasn't too tortuous. Second load now in the washing machine and I am about to tidy whilst catching up with the Archers
5. Yummy curry to celebrate the end of our mini holiday. Vegetable biryani with enough left over for tomorrow's lunch.
Please keep your fingers crossed, folks, for my dad who should finally be coming home from hospital tomorrow. He has been in since January  It is going to be emotional for him and tough at first, but let's hope he can make it work.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

Chicken:- Thank you for wishing us well on the camping escapades.:)
Sparrer:- Wow that’s a lot of de cluttering, it’s re-motivated me to continue on with mine tomorrow.
VJsmumm, Hope your camping was fantastic as well.
Hope everyone had a lovely Jubilee weekend.:D
We watched the Jubilee Thames celebrations and the concert the following night, after all it is a once in a lifetime, we were able to grab some “Bagpuss” naps and caught up on some zzzzzzzz. DH took the things he had cleared out of the garage and was able to trade them completely for other bits he wanted via a chap we know on the scrap metal stand. We had fantastic weather for 3 of the 4 days so I look a little less transparent.
I’ve loads to do tomorrow I’ve even written a list to plough through, but that’s tomorrow.
1.Just downloaded all of the photo’s.:j
2.Watching the animals go nuts they love camping with us, but they love coming back home.
3.Just ordered a takeaway to be delivered, it’s not MSEbut it’s a little tradition to see out the holiday, and maybe a glass of pear cider wobbleade.
4.Diet starts tomorrow, a pleasure as that means I can have the takeaway tonight:cool:
5.Looking forward to a hot bath, hair pampering and face pack.:)
6. It was glorious weather
7. At the site we were at the swallows decided to nest in the “cigarette bin”?!?:rotfl:
8. Just caught Springwatch and have the webcams minimised in a window.:D0
