Morning all. :) Thought I'd pop in an update on yesterday's pleasures as I didn't get chance. A surprise visit from the family meant hastily rearranged plans. So, here goes:

    1. The visit from family. :) So good to see them. :)
    2. Instead of getting takeaway we did a mutual fridge raid and came up with the idea of a massive fry up :D We all managed to use up something.
    3. Managed to do some stretching.
    4. The impromptu full English means we've still got last night's tea for tonight.
    5. We've got the bike racing still to watch from yesterday.

It's still raining here. We did have sunshine when we got up (for some reason neither of us could sleep and woke very late) but grey clouds have conquered the fluffy white ones and there are a few raindrops on the window. Still, it's a holiday. Hope everyone has a lovely day.

    K xx

% Got a lovelly emial from Emille. She has found my photograph on the internet and has fallen in love with me just like that. I wonder if her mate Shiela told her, cos she got one in last weak. Not interested, and I do not give a flying monkeys raging infernal balls whether you are ,<insert need here> and are so desperate. Oh, and by the way, that account closes at midnigh on Friday, so Emile, if you are reading this, do not worry of your emails bounce.

$ Thought I would do it diferently "day.

£ Save them, because it is them that count

    " Speak when spoken to

! Garden Done, Car washed and now for a cup of tea and a decent tart. This one has a cherry atop of it, and fountain icing. Should had been royal, but it has gone a lttle soggy.

    Evening all.

[STRIKE]1) I LIT THE BBQ!! :j:j:j It's taken me 40 minutes, 2 dozen matches and half a newspaper, but there's definitely heat there now! :j I'm now sipping an extremely well-deserved wobbleade! ;)[/STRIKE]

    2) I found out why the music / craft fair was so overcrowded yesterday - according to the local paper, they ended up with nearly twice as many people as they planned for. I hope they do another one next year as they're suggesting, but hopefully somewhere else in the city so there's more room.

    3) Got my HG courgettes, chillis and aubergines planted on into bigger pots.

    4) De-flea'd mog, much to his disgust, but it should stop him scratching so much.

    5) HM burgers for dinner, using my last pack of beef mince (I got 18 packs for the price of 9 last year, and it's taken me this long to eat it all) - hopefully cooked on the barbie if it stays alight.

    6) One I've just remembered - hearing the national anthem from a nearby street party, closely followed by someone who clearly wasn't getting in the mood whistling the theme from The Great Escape. :rotfl:

    Have a good evening, all.

ETA - scrap that - I went to check it and it's stone cold - there's no way I'm cooking on that BBQ tonight. I really don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I just can't get the charcoal to burn. :(:(:(
Back after a very long break!

    Chorning Muckers

Hope everyone got there wobbleade in last night and had three good cheers for our Liz. Skint, go easy with that back, bets to lick another coat of paint, but never mix it with the wobbleade though, it could be bad for us.

Up early, so cats has been fed. [STRIKE]Glad Eyed Gladys[/STRIKE] Current Ms Sonny will no doubt feed him again when she rising from her slumber. Kettles on. Aye, Ms Sonny has fallen for him again!!!! He should be out pulling the birds!

5 Fed up with this saga about some footballer called Rio. !!!!!!, it is now gone into media induced over hype. Is he some spoilt brat who owns the football, but never wants to play in goald. Rio, I do not care if it your ball, and you wanbt it back. You can have it back and we will get another ball, for what it is worth.

    Really does make me mad!

4 Two tweets from twits yesterday. Thom, to be honest, I think your remarks on Joey are good, but I must point out that certain commedians can use profanity in an abject manner. Yours is just pure virile filthy.

Both of you were retweeted because someone thinks they are important. Important to you, but alas we are cleansed. After the email about Elf Bowling in 1999, I take messages like that with the contempt they deserve. Detwittered. Oh, and Sam. Your three words are nice, but you also are one as well.

3 It is a free world, you cannot buy it nor when you leave, take it with you. So leave for tomorrow, what you do not need today. That also includes food.

2 Secvond day Bank Holiday in a row. Yippee

1 Good things are always last. Came last in the quiz last night, so sorrowed on some Wobbleade, possibly too much wobbleade, but happy anyhow. And why not. So a wobble home afterwards as well. Good to see old boy Brian out last nigh, bin a while, but he has changed poub as well. Other local got taken over by some new boy, kicked out best barmaid in town, changed food supplier and now is empty. Thing is lots of things tell us how we should change our ways, change is good. Not very good for the old pub is it. Nevermind.

Right, that is it 4 me. Just have a nibble, but leave a lot

    Stop Thread

Tiger, the cat has just fallen off the chair, his scrambling agility is beyond him nowadays. He is ok, just licking his paws.

Here's my 5 pleasures from yesterday:

    1. Made gorgeous chewy oat and raisin cookies instead of going to the shops to get something sweet & snacky.
    2. Managed to do a Pilates DVD and I feel a bit achy this morning.
    3. Mr KB bringing me a cup of tea in bed :)
    4. Didn't get out of bed until 9:55am
    5. Season finale of Game of Thrones last night. :)

Well, hope everyone has a lovely day today. We've not got a lot planned except some gardening if it stays dry. Suspect Mr KB will want to play a bit of GT5 if it does rain and I don't mind watching!

    Morning all :)

Who was it said they didn't understand some of sonny's posts? I know that feeling! Not a clue what he's on about and spend ages trying to decipher for clues - a bit like the Telegraph cryptic crossword, it has to be done. Maybe it's an age thing (mine, not sonny's ;)). But there's always one little gem of wisdom, as in his #3 today, and being a cat lover I'm pleased their mog recovered from his over-fed topple :D
DundeeDoll hope OH's family issues sort themselves out, or if not you can rise above it. Sadly there are many people in this world who ultimately lose by isolating. You have the blessing of each other, and will make your own happy memories :)
VJsmum oh yes, definitely watching all I can of the Jubilee celebrations. No housework, exercise, even the breakfast washing up is still waiting to be done :o. The house won't fall down and I'll catch up tomorrow ;)

1 - 5 Yesterday was a super, amazing, wonderful day, it doesn't get much better :D. 12 of us spent the day on the Grand Union Canal on a narrow boat decorated with flags, bunting etc to within an inch of its life, all the plates, cups and even the food we made was red, white and blue, we had patriotic music playing and everyone in their very best red, white and blue finery. Don't think the residents are sure what hit them! Very fortunate with the weather, we saw a couple of spots of rain but most of the time we were able to have the windows rolled up - to give the tow-path walkers and other boaters a chance to join in the best sights and sounds of our day :p. And surprisingly they did, lots of photo shoots and dancing on the river bank.

Today I'm kna'kered, putting it mildly! So a day of rest, light meals after all the delish savouries and cakes, and maybe tomorrow back to normal, whatever....

Have a super day and whatever you do I hope it's sunny for you :)

    3. packing nearly done for camping next week - hope it warms up a bit and has a couple of dry days PLEEAASSSEE!
    2. had NSD for 3 days
    1. had a lovely brekki of poached egg, bacon and toms with toast and fig preserve - all cooked by DH.
