5 or so for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday! In chronological order as much as I can.

    1) Driving to north Wales. Hampered by snapping the arm off number 1 pair of glasses then noticing the windscreen of Diane (the green goddess) is cracked. :-( More Diane based news in a minute... She's not been a well behaved car...

    2) Didn't get lost!

    3) Campsite lovely.

    4) All cooking done by OH. Its more his thing than mine so I did the washing up.

    5) Lots of games of cards with OH's sons.

    6) Sleeping in a tent with OH (boys in the caravan) which was good but COLD.

    7) Going to Harlech.

    8) Going in the sea. Forgot my swimming costume so had a t shirt on and OH's rugby shorts (why are they so very short in the leg???)

    9) Campfire food and marshmallows.

    10) A walk up the hills behind the campsite - pretty sure I saw a red kite.

    11) Unable to sleep last night, got out of the tent again to sit by the embers of the campfire and a hare walked past me! Haven't seen one for years.

    12) Barmouth today and a go on the dodgems.

    13) Tea out followed by a trip to an ice cream parlour. I don't like ice cream much (no one understands this!) but they did waffles too so I had a homemade waffle, fresh strawberries and hot fudge sauce. Was splendid.

    14) Diane the car. We left Barmouth for home (OH and his boys driving back to the campsite for another couple of days). The windscreen wiper motor immediately packed up! Have just driven one hundred miles through continuous, very fine, but very difficult to see through without wipers, drizzle. OH drove to Welshpool for me (I had his car) then turned back to the campsite. Did the Shropshire bit alone as I know that bit so well but was worse still when it got dark!

    15) Glad to be back. Heaters on, about to run a hot bath, 2 hot water bottles in my comfy bed, cup of tea on the side. Going to watch Holby city (presume it was on earlier) and listen to Just a Minute and catch up on my sleep.

Frith - although I would never complain about the length of rugby shorts ;)I believe it is so the opponents have less to grab iyswim?

VJsmum - I am here :D thank you for missing me !;)

mcculloch- yes typical RP speak ! I wrote an article for them once in the late 1980's, which was published and they gave me a mans christian name !!! Not impressed with that one bit , flexes feminist muscles.....

Chicken:- Hugs I hope you feel more with it soon.

Quite honestly we woke up today and after the wonderfully relaxing weekend it was hard to shift into gear at all. It’s taken all day to do:-

1.4 loads of washing done and drying ish

2.4 phone calls made and 2 interviews now for Thurs and Fri.

3.Dug down to the kitchen. :o

4.Left over take away pizza for lunch was just delicious, it’s just better re-heated in the oven to make it crispy ish.:D

5.Posted off a chaser letter about a ppi claim they are going around the houses! A pleasure to do!

    6. A much needed NSD and NPD, (does a 1st class stamp that I already had count as a spend??)

    7. We’ve decided to take the caravan away at Christmas, we’ve done it a few times now, we are just wondering about visiting Anglesey for a change, but a pleasure to look into which sites and of course where to book Christmas lunch, am I seriously doing this in June!!!!!:rotfl:

    Good evening all!

Thank you all for your kind wishes x

PK - my you are organised ! Must get my bum in to gear to sort out Christmas lunch at posh country house - treat this year for my Mum :D Good luck with your interviews !!!

OT - glad to hear that your cat is picking up !

    5 for today

    1. The day went very swiftly at work as I had a report to write .

    2. A project that I couldn't devote my time to at work has been transferred to a colleague who works full time (and I don't) . She doesn't know how she is going to fit it in either .Selfish relief ;)

    3. Fox again in the garden at 6.25 am - the hens go mad when they get a tiny glimpse of it. They are in a fox proof run though , so they are probably saying ner ner ner ner ner to it !

    4. Nice vegetarian tea of quorn, pasta, pesto garlic, mushrooms ,courgettes and a bit of cream - yum , it makes the house smell lovely too !

    5. Mum said that she had a cuddle with Pinky the friendly light Sussex hen . Pinks crouched down with her wings out so Mum picked her up . Favouritism !

    Have a good evening all!

    Evening all.

OT - glad your mog's feeling better.

Chicken - glad you're feeling better.

PK - good luck with the interviews.

sparrer / VJsmum / KB - Paul McCartney's not my cup of tea (or coffee, in my case, as I don't like tea :coffee:) either, but I didn't think he was too bad - Cheryl Cole was far worse - I think there was meant to be a tune in there somewhere, but it was rather hard to tell. ;) (Mean CCP! :naughty:)

    1) As one of the few people in the office today I was answering three people's phones as well as my own, but it was blissfully and unexpectedly quiet - except for one brief embarrassing moment when I picked up the receiver and couldn't remember my own name, let alone the name of the person whose phone was ringing. :o Luckily the caller was a colleague, who was able to remind me of my identity before putting through the student who was calling. :o

    2) I'm not sure if this is MS / OS or not, but I bought myself a bottle of salad dressing to keep in the office fridge for all those times when I take in a salad for lunch and realise that the dressing's still at home. It would be more OS to make my own, I know, but it's more MS than abandoning the salad and buying a sandwich, which is what usually happens when I do this. :undecided

    3) I had a quiet afternoon so I spent it messing around reading reviews of local hotels and restaurants, for no real reason other than curiosity.

    4) A big pan of veg chilli simmering on the hob, including the contents of the mystery can from AF, which turned out to be... kidney beans, just as it was meant to be. I'm oddly disappointed. :p

    5) I can't summon up the slightest enthusiasm for revision tonight, so I'll watch another couple of parts of a history documentary on iplayer instead. :o

    6) I wore one of my new bracelets today and found it was rather too big for my little hands. I thought about taking it to a jeweller to be adjusted, but thought I'd try to do it myself first - and, with the aid of a pair of fine-pointed pliers, succeeded! :j

    Have a good evening, all.
Back after a very long break!

    3) Boys came back from their father's at 12.

    4) Went to see Men in Black at the cinema.

    5) Went to Sainsburys.

    That's about it for today!

    My pleasures for today:

    1. Was given a sunflower seedling when we went to visit friends this afternoon.
    2. The rain. It was so lovely and heavy and I was sat indoors watching it.
    3. We had a flypast. I'm not sure what the plane was, but it was probably WWII, had 2 engines and wasn't a Spitfire.
    4. Chilli con carne for tea. :)
    5. A nice hot bath, as I found some coconut soap I hadn't tried. Bliss.

Just thought I'd pop on quickly and update these as I haven't a lot of time atm. Hope everyone has a lovely evening though - take care (((hugs)))

    K xx
