Was going to paint the sides of the beach hut/garden shed but found that what I thought was the tin of pale blue for the walls is in fact the tin of deeper blue for the door and shutters. So -

    1. Cleared out a drawer under the bed, only 3 more to go.

    2. Cleared out the sideboard, very little tat left in there now

    3. Changed the bedding, it was a dull day but managed to get it dry on the line

    4. Took a stroll round the garden (took all of 2 mins :D), all the bedding plants I put in over the past week are looking healthy and coming into bloom already, but the plum tree leaves are being eaten by something, which is making them drop. It doesn't look at all happy so will investigate to see if I can find the cause and the cure

    5. Watching A Jubilee Tribute to The Queen, with Prince Charles narrating. It's wonderful (you'd never guess I'm a staunch Royalist ;)), I hope it's repeated and/or there's a dvd in the not too distant future

Have a good evening, don't stay up too late! Sweet dreams :)

Strange request but.... has anyone got any suggestions of music that would be good on my ipod for my long drive to holiday tomorrow? Today it's been switching from Nick Cave to Pet Shop Boys randomly and I need a change!

Would quite like to download a few new tunes.
  • Frith I would normally play the Tiger Lillies, but it is not recommended for the feint hearted.

    Good evening all !

VJsmum - glad to hear that you got it up (awning) . Have a fab time x

Frith - enjoy your holiday too!

    5 for today

    1. Long lie in until 9am .

    2. OH paid for the shopping and used vouchers to get £7.45 off of the bill.

    3. Had another snooze whilst the racing was on ( might need to get my thyroid checked if this continues ).Mum, sister, Nan and Aunts have this problem.

4.Won a few quid on Camelot and Astrology :D - OH backed Bonfire and Cavalero and lost. Kept my stake but put the extra in the "Scooter fund tin" for OH . Also banked £10 of change and put the tenner in the aforementioned tin.

5.OH's birthday tomorrow - shall have a take away curry tonight as a treat and I have some of Sonnys wobbleade in especially ;) Cheers Sonny
Have a good evening all !

Evening, everyone! Just a quick daily update while tea is cooking. It has been an uneventful day and I'm actually glad of it! Here's some pleasures:

    1. Woke up at 9am to Mr KB telling me he's making a cuppa but needs some change to get milk. Fall asleep for another half hour and wake to a lovely milky cup of tea. :) Bless him!
    2. My tea. It smells amazing but is just a bacon, chorizo and tomato pasta bake. With garlic bread. (luckily we're both having it ;) )
    3. The LoveFilm arrived this morning - Horrible Bosses - so that should be a giggle.
    4. The TT is on! Have put the programmes into the planner and we'll have a massive bikes catch up session later, along with the WSB from last weekend and the quali for tomorrow's Moto GP! Whoo hoo!
    5. Got all my chores done early so have been able to relax somewhat.

I definitely think there's going to be some wobbleade consumed tonight. The cold ones have been in the fridge for ages and as I had a headache last night I couldn't indulge.

Well done, Chickenopolis! Nice little win there :D

    Have a lovely evening, everyone.

    Evening all.

Frith - I'm very fond of the album 'Sun Comes Up Again' by I Am Arrows - it's got a lovely summery sound, but I don't if it would be to your / your boys' tastes. Have a lovely holiday.

VJsmum - hope you're all having a lovely cake. Sorry, I meant 'time' - your cakes just sound so tasty I got distracted. ;)

    1) Went to sleep almost as soon as my head touched the pillow last night and slept for 12 hours. :o

    2) Baked beans on toast for brunch.

    3) Made a good - if belated - start on my revision. My arm aches a bit now from an hour or so of writing, so goodness knows how bad it will be after a 3 hour exam!

    4) Picked up a bottle of my favourite summer wine from L1dl - it's only £3.99 but it's lovely, and reminds me of holidays in Italy.

    5) HM pizza tonight to go with it, topped with smoked ham, cherry tomatoes and pesto.

    Have a lovely evening, all.
Back after a very long break!
