    Evening all :)

Have been reading but haven't had a lot of time to myself these past few days so welcome any newcomers, (((hugs))) to all who need them, prayers that OT's mog gets well now in true 5OS fashion

    1. The lights in the garden look amazing in the evening, so pleased I dug them out of the back of the shed. (It looks nice in the daytime too of course ;))

    2. Good gym sessions, there's a noticeable difference in DD's posture already as the strength builds up in her feet/ankles, and I feel good for doing the exercises

    3. DNeighbour gave me a piece of rump steak! She said she bought too much, I did suggest she put it in the freezer but she said there was no room...I don't believe her :p. She's such a lovely DN

    4. Cleared out some more bits for a car boot DD's football team is having at the weekend. She's not on the team, she's the secretary :D

    5. Sat in the sun having coffee with a friend this morning, I like the cafes which have space outside for tables and chairs rather than have a lot of hot bod's in a confined space. They were giving away 'Jubilee Biscuits' which were very yummy :D

6 Said friend and I went into @ldi, not been there for ages and was quite impressed with their prices, I bought a carrier bag of fruit and veg, plus cheese and milk for under £4. Will be going again :D

    7. Postie brought me a box of moisturiser sachets, don't know when I applied for them but it was a nice surprise as they're a brand I really like.

    8. Shopped in Sup4rdrug for some extras for DM's birthday, she likes a certain brand of cleanser/moisturiser etc., which were on offer so saved £7 on the total.

    9. Finished stitching my Jubilee outfit for our canal day on Monday. It looks rather good, surprising for me as I'm no needlewoman

    10. Looking at a few day's break in Barcelona in Autumn, a city I really want to visit. No-one to go with this time but my fellowship has meetings in English every day so I wouldn't be entirely on my own. Voicing (typing) about it for the first time has made me more keen to go, there are a lot of budget hotels in the centre and flights from my local airport. Exciting!

Now to bed as I've to be away by 7am to visit DM. Sweet dreams :)

5 BBQ Chicken brewing nicely, it is going to be a scorcher. Wobbleade in just in case it is needed.

2 days to go to long weekend. I notice that the embarrassing picture of my cousin John has been removed from his facebuck profile, and now so has John. Feeling of remorse there, but I figure come Friday night at around 11:30 pm, otehr incrminating pictures shall appear of Ms Sonny's pages again. In fact, no, I have even detweeted a colleague today who was banging on about the girl next door. I and NFI about it and I care evenless about the person I have never met, nor what she can do with her twin chokes either.

hello, I did attempt a post yesterday but it never appeared, so here are a few pleasures for past 2 days:

1.I got a Kitchenaid! ooooooooh! so excited. I have wanted one for ages , they are sooooo expensive over here (more so than in UK) and really couldn't justify the price. However, I was saving up for one and had almost had half saved when OH was diagnosed. I ended up spending the money on going backwards & forwards to hospital, giving lunch money for kids, milk & bread money etc, it was easier just to take from that money than go to the bank. Anyway, he got a tax rebate & the day after first surgery he wrote to me that I could get one (he couldn't speak because of tracheostomy).
So I have a shiny red one and I am so happy :)

2.Work has been hard going this week, I think we are all tired of working at such a fast pace, we are constantly busy....obviously doing something right that we are so busy but very tiring. Anyway, I have not been in too early and have been leaving bang on time.

3.I took kids out for tea last night, we went to our local Thai restaurant & had a lovely meal as usual. OH was gallivanting in the city.....having a gentle catch up with friends really!

4.Parrots! They do make me smile :) and DD1 was so excited she had a cockatoo in the tree outside her bedroom this afternoon & took some photos of it! We don't get so many in this garden as we did at last house so she was just delighted.

5.Bought a huuuge bouquet of flowers which was very reduced in price.

6.Was cold this morning (3o when I went out to work & realised I need to look out some gloves!) but it brightened into a nice day. I sat at the duckpond on my lunch break, ate my sandwich & watched the ducks! Warm enough in the sun, there was a market going on & just a nice atmosphere around me.

7.Got a $5 voucher from supermarket for reward points.

8.The last 2 mornings my alarm clock has woken me up so I think I might be starting to sleep a tiny bit better.

    9. Bought 2 beautiful jugs and got 30% discount. I do love jugs! Have a wee collection of them (red ones in particular!)

    3. DS1 helped with the pastry making , he;s a good pastry cook.
    4. my "Christopher Marlowe" rose is blooming nicely.
    5. the slug pellets have worked.

Afternoon - going to find some pleasures today if I have to eat my keyboard to do so.

    1. Mum gave me a Jubilee street party kit. I can't use it, but someone at work should be able to so I'll take it in for them.
    2. It's nearly the end of the week. Finally going to get a lay in!
    3. We've got pork ribs for tea with a JD/Chinese-style marinade.
    4. So far sticking so a grocery challenge.
    5. My so often forgotten subscription for Glamour arrived this morning with a free BeneFit product on the front (small size, naturally). Something new to try at least.

    Have a nice evening, everyone.

    Good evening all!

mhagster- nice to hear that your OH is out and about socialising .

    5 for today

    1. The day went quickly at work - site visit plus heavy 3 hour case conference . One person tried to "shout me down" in the meeting most unprofessionally - her false teeth whistle and make a sucky sort of noise like a person who sucks their teeth at others as a gesture of contempt .She can kiss my tattooed butt - no way was I going to back down :D

2.My Aunt gave me a china egg holder with numbers and flowers on it. She is an antique dealer and often picks up quirky things on her travels .

    3. Pinky the young hen keeps barging in to the kitchen

    4. My colleague who is leaving loved her card and gift voucher I got her .I will miss her but she is only going to work in the team on the next floor .

    5. MAGIC NUMBER 5 = 5 days off work now :Dthen back for two days , then of for three ..........

    Have a good evening all!
