    Evening all,

    Bedfordshire is calling!

    1. A nice unplanned meal out after work.
    2. Feeling surprisingly hungry later and have a slice of "real" toast (bread from the bakers).
    3. Um that's all.
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

    My five for Thursday -

    1. Waking up to yet more snowfall that had happened overnight so everything outdoors looked pristine again.

    2. Another NSD.

    3. My round crocheted spiral 'thing' (think I might make it big enough to be a table covering rather than a bedspread) is now 15 ins in diameter and I have used up just about all of the tiny bits of scrap wool to hand so I'll have to search the wool I've got in storage to carry on with it.

    4. HM miso-and-chunky-veg soup with little cheese on toast croutons floating on the top.

    5. Listening on iplayer to all of this week's serialisation so far of Antonia Fraser's diary about living with Harold Pinter. I really love 'being read to' even if it's only a recording.

    Sweet dreams everyone

    1. Finding a big slab of chocolate hidden at the back of the freezer
    2. Eating 1/4 of the above in one go :o
    3. A box of goodies arrived today thanks to the freebie board. There were 2 eye pods in it, on telling my neighbour she thought I meant ipods and asked if I was going to sell them on...she knows me so well!
    4. Making a herb and olive loaf in the bm, it smells really good and can't wait for lunch tomorrow so I can try it :D
5.The second fall of snow has all gone thanks to a very rainy day. Enough is enough, no more snow for a very long time please

Night night n God bless all, hope you're all dreaming sweet dreams

  • I don't often post on here as it usually takes me weeks to collect 5 pleasures, but here I go.

1 My helper at work finally managed to get in, great news as our workload is huge.
2 Hubby has had 4 day's work this week.
3 Someone might need me to dog board during the summer.
4 A £3 shoulder of lamb made 4 meals for the 2 of us.
5 I had a shovel & a bag of sand to hand when I got stuck in the snow.

    1) Finally did Tesco online shopping order for the next two weeks
    2) Finished reading this slowcooker recipes thread
    3) looked at the O/S disasters thread, Broomstick the builders and foam story is priceless!
    4) dp picked up the new Sainsbury's magazine for me
    5) dd reading her new school books, she only had the last two for two days(!)

    Evening all,

    Mine for today are...
    1) Having a good gossip with the girls at work and arranging to go for fish and chips with them all next Friday (the boys are invited as well as long as they also bring some gossip!!)

    2) Walking into town to get the lenses on my new glasses replaced - D&A made the lenses too small so they fell out. I was going to get thin lenses this time, but the nice lady said that there was no point with the frames that I have and once they are fitted properly you won't even notice how thick they are. What a pleasure - a shop assistant trying to prevent me from spending money!!

    3) While waiting in Boots for a colleague to buy some stuff, I sprayed myself with some perfume which ws vile... it made me smile everytime that I caught a wiff of it though!!

    4) The snow has nearly melted - it is lovely to see bright green back again

    5) IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!

    Have a great weekend everyone!
    Man plans and God laughs...
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.
  • Here are mine for today.
    1. It's the weekend YAY !!!
    2. Managed to walk to school and back in ice and snow and didn't fall over :)
    3. Haven't spent any money for a whole week - staying indoors or being at work has it's good points !!
    4. Managed to shave 15 quid off our grocery order with Mr T this week after doing a stock check of the cupboards.
    5. Made some stuff to put in my Etsy shop.
    6. Watched The Hours while I did the ironing, it makes me cry but I do love that film.
Off for a shower and to slip into my pjs, have a great weekend folks.

Hi all, hugs to all that need them.

    1. Finding out I can claim some money off the private healthcare for having been an nhs patient.

    2. Reading this thread and reminding myself of the small things that can make you smile

    3. Having survived my first day back at work and being sent home early on the second day

    4. Finding out that even with possible redundancy (hence being sent home) I might be ok till May as long as OH gets some work (his hours as well as his hourly rate are being cut to the point where he says it's not worth it).

    5. Popping over to the other boards for some advice on my debts in view of my possible new situation and having one quick reply. Lovely knowing all those people are there to help.

    Hello everyone!

A nice day today, so should manage 5,

    1) DH bringing me a cuppa in bed this morning. He's on a 4 day week at the moment, but you just have to get on with it don't you.

    2) Sorting out a few issues that I kept putting on the back burner -I feel much better now.

    3) Speaking to both DSs on the phone (my weekly....at least) chat.

    4) Making a yummy stir fry with DH and enjoying it with a nice glass of wine by candlelight.

    5) Snuggling up in front of the fire and watching tv.

Hope everyone's ok, have a nice evening.
