hello, Saturday morning here, been up since very early o'clock but had been sleeping since 7.30pm....will have a catch up snooze this afternoon I think.

    Fridays:
    1. well hurrah it was Friday! been a long week at work , very busy, we celebrated our first birthday by being very busy! Managed to put up some streamers!
2.It rained and rained! We had a whole months rain in one day so I did not feel guilty when I had a bath, started a new book & managed not to fall asleep!

3.Another day of OH getting a tiny bit better, still tires very easily but he's managing to do a bit more everyday. Soon be time for radiotherapy so need to get him in a good condition before it starts.

4.Very early night! was just so tired so instead of falling asleep on sofa took myself to bed :)

5.Very early calls to my sister, my friend and my inlaws....an a quick wee chat with friends 5 year old daughter before she went to bed! She jsut does not understand the time difference or distance between us, it's rather sweet the way she'd like us just to pop home! If only if was that easy!

    Saturday scone beckons!!

    Millie welcome back :)
DundeeDoll the red has been admired by so many people. It'll be a long time, if ever, til this old 'un lets her hair go back to its natural colour ;)
I think ampersand said she was due back mid April, and looks like she was on line on 14th May so hope all is well with her

Just back from my evening out so briefly

    1. Decorators quote was much more reasonable than I was expecting so if I can get the HA to replace some plaster on the stair wall I'll have the lounge/stairs done in a month or so

    2. The car exhaust was only £55 not the £66 originally quoted

    3. Went into the local h@rr0ds while I waited for the car to be done and found a brand new set of Lancombe body moisturiser and hand cream for £1.50 :D

    4. Super evening out with 3 friends, we've been a group for over 11 years and get together often. Now one of them has got a gentleman friend who came along (when I saw him my stomach flipped, he's so like my dear late friend in height, build, looks and gestures it's made me feel quite sad). It'll be interesting to see how we as a group move on with this change in numbers and how I handle it, as two of the group are a couple, now the third has a partner.

    5. Driving home a short while ago I saw a muntjac at the side of the road. It was so beautiful, and I'm thankful it didn't run out into the road.

Sleep tight (you probably all are now!) :)

I didn't meet with CCP either - maybe when she uses her free rail travel we should all have a coffee??

VJsmum, that would be fab, so CCP, when you are next up here, give us a yell :)

That does sound like a fantastic idea. :)VJsmum - I confess I didn't realise until I got back that you're in Birmingham too, otherwise I would have suggested we met for a coffee. We'll definitely all have to meet up next time.

mcculloch - the more I see of that horse, the more I like. He looks a very promising jumper, and so handsome - the Johnny Depp of the horse world, maybe. ;)

    1) Blasting out Savage Garden on my way to Southampton. I haven't listed to that album in years but still remembered every word to every song. :D

    2) Treated myself to a coffee milkshake during the break in my tutorial - not at all OS, but utterly delicious and refreshing on a hot day.

    3) I took a packed lunch with me and ate it sitting in the park - I hadn't realised what lovely parks Southampton has. (Much as it pains me to say anything nice about my city's great rival. ;))

    4) I'm still sorting out the mess caused by the collapsing greenhouse, as all the labels fell out of the pots and I couldn't remember which seeds were where. I managed to work out some mystery plants today, though - they're the free courgette seeds I'd forgotten I'd planted.

    5) Looking forward to Eurovision tonight, with too much wine and lots of unhealthy things to nibble on while watching. Oh well, it's only once a year!

    Have a lovely evening, all.
Back after a very long break!

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

Hi Unclebryn, you are in a beautiful part of the world in South Wales.
Mille:- Sorry to hear your news, sometimes life does have a laugh at us
Mcculloch:- Congratulations on the new contract.
Mchagster:- I love reading your posts, so glad your OH is getting taking it steady.

Wow it was so busy when we popped out we came back home again rather than tackle Saturday crowds.
    1. I strimmed and mowed the garden as I wanted to do something I’m not a great sit out in the sun person.
    2. The iced drink and icepop felt like the best thing in the world after that.
    3. I tidied some paperwork stuff up that I had been putting off, and I know this is completely mental, but it just makes me feel so much better that it’s not lurking about being ignored.
    4. HM Pizza for a snack
    5. An afternoon siesta
    6. Both myself and DH apparently have the clearing out bug, I just helped him clear 3 bags of rubbish, and enough stuff for another tip run and something for the scrap man from the garage. We should also be able to sell a couple of bits, which would be nice.

    Evening all :)
Welcome unclebryn  Love your 5, or 8! Makes feel feel worn out ;)

    (((Skint))) feel better now

CCP my DS is a Pomey supporter so know just what you mean about the Southampton rivalry. There's a house with my family name in Southsea which was given to Pompey by one of my forefathers for the youth hostel for the team, although I believe it's now a children's home. And it's the route to the IoW so I definitely like it :D

PK congrats on clearing the paperwork, can you please send me some incentive? I got all mine out a month ago and it's been decorating the kitchen since. I really do need to get down to it.

    1. Up at silly o'clock, why is it when I have a very late night I'm up at sparrowf**t? Was a pleasure to open the curtains though, and see the beautiful morning

    2. Quick flick with the duster. Saturday is usually polish day but couldn't wait to be outside

    3. Trip to Homeb@se where I spent just enough to use my 1000 nectar points voucher :D. Bought some bases on wheel so I can move the pots more easily, one had a wheel missing so was reduced to 99p. It's got three more wheels though so should be okay

    4. On to the garden centre to use the rest of the vouchers I got for Christmas (thanks DNeighbour ). Spent them on 84 bedding plants, 3 toms, 4 runners and 4 obelisks to grow them up, plus a very pretty candle and holder for a friends b/day tomorrow. Well, didn't just use the vouchers, it came to 'just a little' more than that...:o. Nearly everything planted out, it's going to look so good in a couple of weeks.

    5. Only just shut the back door. Two weeks ago I had the heating on for a couple of hours in the evenings, now I'm sitting here in my summer jimmies after a tepid shower. I love sunshine

    Sweet dreams :)
