    Yesterday's delights

    1. The sun

    2. More bits for the bathroom arrived and were put in the garage by a rather grumpy delivery man.....I'm putting it down to the weather and him being, like me, rather Rubenesque, so he was probably feeling the heat!!!

    3. The joy of managing to get the bikes back in the garage after the delivery, bit of shed tetris went on, but it worked, phew!

    4. DD had a little chum over to play and the 2 of them were crazy and had lots of fun :)

    5. OH gave me some cash so we had nice wine and pizza for the children, yah!

    6. Went out to a village meeting and saw lots of lovely friends

    7. Popped over to another friend's for a glass of vino after the meeting, didn't want to go home straight away and it was lovely to sit out in the garden quaffing and nattering

Sounds like that might wake school up to the potential for problems if they do not buck up.

Frith - you have posted in the past about ex using smaller son to make insulting phone calls etc and I gather both boys now see him regularly.

Have the problems with C and school got better or worse since he starting seeing dad more often?

RAS - the teaching assistant is happy to tell me that C is much worse on Mondays and Tuesdays. On a few occasions he has shut himself in the toilets at school and told staff he wants me to pick him up, not his father. Sometimes they have phoned me to do this, sometimes they haven't (this is separate from the phone calls to pick him up due to poor behaviour).

She said, on the Monday after he has spent the weekend with his father "We can do nothing with him".

I have written to the head telling her what the ex was/is like and requesting different meetings from him (since I wouldn't be able to function if he was in the same room). She has done this.

I have also talked about him in great detail with smaller son's ed psych, less detail with the CAF lady, the Exclusions Officer and the Learning Support Team lady.

So at the moment, the ex is going to the same meetings as me (usually after me) and presumably throwing his weight around, denying anything is wrong with smaller son and blaming me. He has also told the head that C was OK until I started going out with my new (ish) partner and that C hates him and his older son (C actually gets on better with OH's son than anyone else in the world!!)

I didn't tell C's solicitor about the ex on the phone but I will include something in the bundle of stuff I will post her or certainly my own solicitor will be all too happy to fill her in...

Well, let's say that it seemed pretty obvious to me from the trail of posts over the last year that his behavioural problems seems to date from the increased contact.

I have not checked back but that was my feeling. And given that your ex is quite capable of using anything he can to cause trouble, I would not be surprised. I suspect that he would do everything possible to disrupt any relationship you start and harming C in the process would be irrelevant.

I also suspect from your previous comments that ex dislikes anything to do with "authority" and particularly women in authority and may be making comments to C that undermine what efforts the school are making.

You might like to suggest that some of those involved observe C with OH and with his son? Do you have any photos or video (even on a phone) that you could use to rebut the comments?

I do appreciate what it is like dealing with someone who is quite convinced black is white and how shocking it is to other people to realise that they have been misled. Remember Napoleon in Animal Farm? I was shocked to discover that Orwell knew nmy father.

Sparrer:- Hope the BBQ is wonderful

    1. A post on here, but I can’t remember who by?!? reminded me to do the price check on the Asda receipt, and it gave me voucher of 2.60.
    2. Beautiful weather, using the weather to dry the washing, which is now all up to date yipppeee.
    3. Reading a few chapters of a book.
    4. Took some time to paint my nails and toes a gothy dark purple.
    5. Cleaning up the kitchen and hallway all be it very slowly as it’s so hot but at least it’s cleaner, and I feel I’ve achieved something to see a result.
    6. The animals all cleaned out, ice in bowls, air con on.
    7. Finding some old ice pops to chuck in the freezer.
    8. Putting out some water for the birds and seeing them use soon after.
    9. Actually made some cookies, and while they are now jumbo cookies I am so completely impressed with myself as I am a can’t cook burn everything type person, but they turned into cookie bits as they fell apart stuck to the grease proof paper. Hum hum.
    10. A lovely chat with neighbours who also came in for a nosey while returning our wine bottles, empty of course, I am making some home brewed strawberry wine so needed them, and I wasn’t worried what they thought of the house but helps I’d only just cleaned up doh.
    11. The Friday feeling is infectious, even though I'm not at work at the mo, there are people having BBQ’s I can hear laughter, the chat with the neighbours, everyone seems to be looking forward to lounging in the sun for the weekend

RAS - :rotfl:Loved this bit . Nice to see you on here , have read a lot of your posts on the Daydream fund thread. Sound advice for our Frith.

VJsmum -Naughty naughty...;) They are not for me .....I would rather hear M.J sing tbh:rotfl:;) I do like men with full lips . OH has a fine pair. P.s I still have my baubles in the lounge and Christmas cards to be written on the table .

    5 for today

    1. Day off - fun in the sun (not the Murdoch paper)

    2. Four lots of washing dried on the line , I was hunting for things to wash knowing that it would dry ..how sad is that ?

    3. I am a tiny bit tanned.

    4. Hens had trapped a jackdaw in the run of their coop - they were trying to tear the poor thing apart . I got the bass broom out to try and divert them , but resorted to a squirt of the hosepipe up the ring leaders jacksy ... they all flew out in one go , including the jackdaw.

5.Enchilladas for tea and OH's "turn" to go out and buy the shopping . I have written a long list .

    Have a lovely weekend all!
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A

    Hello everyone :)

Very long time no speak, but I have popped in on and off to see how you all are.

I have had a rubbish couple of months- I have been ill, OH had lost his job and sadly, we lost GSD last month: She had a tumour on her spleen and they could have operated, but I said no, because she was 10 1/2 and it would have given her another 3 months maybe and at that point, it would have been for me, not her. So, although it was the hardest thing I have ever done, I let her go, with her head on ponycarer's knee. It literally tore my heart out, I had no idea just how attached I was to her :( - she was the kindest, most loyal dog you could wish to meet and she has left a huge hole in our lives.

But onwards/upwards- The horses are all ok- oldie is still causing mayhem and I can't believe she is 30 next month! 9yo is still on/off unsound, but we are keeping her happy on bute and I have kind of accepted that she will only ever be a light hack, barring some miracle. But she does make a pretty lawnmower and she is lovely to have around. The cob is rather feral looking and I am itching to clip him to within an inch of his life when I feel a bit better!

So altogether, not very many pleasures, but I have been thinking of you all, especially Mhags- I am so sorry to hear about your OH, but pleased to hear that he is on the mend :) OT- it sounds like your youngsters are progressing well :)Frith - I am sorry that you have been having problems with your son, I hope somebody "hears" you both soon; Sparrer- woop woop on the weight loss, that is fab :); CCP- you came to B'ham and didn't meet me! but good to hear that you shopped out in the jewellery quarter ;)Chicken - I hope that you and the chickens are well, miss you xx

And love and hugs to everyone else, as ever

    Millie xx
