    evening...

Im super tired today after a work awards dinner last night. We won one out of three which resulted in us just "having" to drink lots of wine :)

    1) SUNSHINE!!! Which wasn't so nice when I woke up first thing (9am) this morning

    2) Skiving off work. I really must catch up over this weekend

    3) Ladies and gent.... I have been asked out on a date by a real live man who I haven't met on tinternet!! I can't remember when this last happened but I am looking forward to it.

    4) LSD (not the drug!!)

    5) Easy supper of pasta and HM tomato sauce from the freezer

    Night night

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    Evening all.

Millie - it's lovely to hear from you. :) I'm sorry to hear you've had such a bad couple of months, and I'm really sorry about GSD.

    1) More muesli and yoghurt for breakfast.

    2) More lovely, warm sunshine.

    3) Booked a hotel room for the night before my exam next month. It's not very money-saving (although I made sure I booked via a website that offered cashback, of course :money:) but it will be very stress-saving as I won't have to worry about fighting my way through Monday morning rush hour traffic.

    4) Wrote my first reviews on a well-known travel website: I use it a lot for reference and thought it was about time I gave some feedback of my own. (I reviewed the hotel in Birmingham: I have a vague intention to use part of my rail travel compensation to go back in the autumn and have another go at the Jewellery Quarter - so many sparkly things, so little time! ;))

    5) Veg fajitas for dinner, using a HM spice mix as I've run out of the RM one I usually use - it tasted pretty good, although I was a bit heavy-handed with the chilli.

    Have a good evening, all.
Back after a very long break!

Millie!! Nice to see you back - although I am sorry for your woes.
I didn't meet with CCP either - maybe when she uses her free rail travel we should all have a coffee??

    Sorry, CHicken, couldn't resist!!

Glorious weather again!! :j Anyone who mentions "too hot" gets royally stamped on - or in Brummie "Ay iss ot ay it?" as a colleague said he heard in Stourbridge high street today.

    So for today

    1. I wore shorts for the first time this year. had to take them up 3 inches to transform them from something you'd have seen in "It ain't half hot mum" to something slightly more chic.
    2. Nearly finished my skirt - just needs hemming now. BIt messy round the waistband - I'll have to wear an "out" t shirt with it, but it is lovely
    3. Lunch with friend and her DD - my goddaughter. Sat outside in the sunshine
    4. Barbecue tonight - yummy marinated chicken (reggae reggae sauce) and YS beef and chilli "Kofta" type kebabs
5 DD left school today  There was a surprise leavers assembly and that is it. Mind she still has to go for lessons she hasn't yet taken the exam in - so she is back first thing monday, much to her disgust :rotfl:

Off on train for yet another hospital trip. With a pile of marking so - 2 birds, one stone and all that. Hopefully next time I visit, dad will be home.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Thank you, everyone xx

VJsmum, that would be fab, so CCP, when you are next up here, give us a yell :)

Chicken- yes, we are all missing her lots. Dad has "adopted" a crow. Eh?? And feeds it 3x a day - I think we need to get another dog soonish ;)
You probably won't believe this, but I thought about you today when we ducked through M&S, to avoid a gaggle of chuggers in Worcester :)

Ampersand should be back now shouldn't she?
