Sonny - lovin your posts... have been on the wobbleaide myself the last few days
Will catch up with the rest of your posts later. Lovely sunrise this morning which I would have missed if I had been able to sleep. Last few days
1. Vertigo now gone so Epley manouver seems to have worked yay !!! Room spinning for other reasons...see number 2 & 5 below
2. Met with friends havent seen since before xmas and had a really good chat and a good laugh and a good few glasses of wine
3. Good chat with DS. (nearly 17 yo)
He has got it into his head that he wants to join the French Foreign Legion....seriously.....he had even emailed them for eyesight requirements. He has always wanted to join British army but has limited eye sight in one eye due to Coats disease & detached retina which is an automatic debar to joining up. He read that british army rejected one recruit for detached retina but FFL accepted him and he went on to win bravery honour. DS all ready to go to Paris.... but have persuaded him to wait until hes 18 next year as he wants to finish his final year at college, and a lot can happen in 12 months.
4. Things have been better at work this week. Got 100% on performance review
5. Finished work early yesterday and went to lunch with old team members. Really good chat and ended up with me and 2 other girls remaining in pub with several bottles of wine. Got home in time to see DS before he went to Gun Run training and then fell asleepwhy does drinking in the afternoon always make me sleepy.. woke up at 9.30pm when he got home and as I was in a slightly drunken stupour with the munchies I ordered pizza delivery... and... I bought DS some new police specials boots online
....
must remember alcohol and :money:do not go together for me. Pizza was nom nom at 11pm though(*and at least I did manage to use a 50% off voucher)

Just had perfect poached eggs with breakfast. As for my last post, it was meant to be skint, not something to do with iron on jeans. Just the oi pad spell checker is a little too much on the wobbleade.I hvae nt snept th lst fw mntes writg ths post fr yu t cme alng hre nd agre wth m!

Greetings fellow OS'ers
I am been a bad girl again... only got out of bed at 2pm. Not hungover or anything... just was loving being snuggled up with my book.
1) Had a low key day yesterday... only went into work at 1pm
2) Went out for a few drinks after work (well at 4.20pm...) but was good and left by 9pm
3) Got loads of things (paperwork) sorted for the house move.
4) Someone else made an offer on my new house.... they offered the same as me and the vendor decided to stay with me and hopefully noone else will try to guzzump me... I would be gutted!!
5) Was given a box of OOD granola bars at work - they're only a month out of date and seem edible.
Enjoy your afternoon!
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
Good afternoon all!
mcculloch - I adore Sir. Henry Cecil -the king of Classics and a true gentleman ,always humble and emotional and , of course a genius.Reference Point , Indian Skimmer and FRANKEL :Dthe list is endless... I hope you get to see Angrove Rumbaba race next week .
Ladyhawk - glad to hear that you have been chillin' . Have the Estate Agents not taken it off the market???
Sparrer- just 3lb to go eh ??well done :T
5 for today
1. Hair cut paid for with my birthday voucher .
2. Hair salon is opposite the bookies....so put a few quid on a certain horse that begins with "F"..I must say that just watching him race makes the (now very short) hairs on the back of my neck stand on end .
3.My ostentatious German car passed its MOT today
4.Hens waiting for me at the back door to come home from work (despite it being a Saturday) at 4.15pm , plus Steven the Seagull who was sat on top of the hen house roof. These things make me smile , as no one else except my Mum would know (or care!!) about their "timetable" .
5.Had a nap in between watching the races as the Kindle makes me sleepy
Have a lovely evening all!:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -

That made me smile. Mine seems to think his bowl is kept in the oven, particularly if I'm roasting chicken.
sparrer - it's probably now far too late, but the best way I've found to weigh syrup (or honey, which is what I usually use) is to put the pan on the scales then pour in the syrup until it's at roughly the right weight (I've never managed to get it exact). It helps reduce the sticky-factor of syrup, too.
For yesterday:
1) Day off. :j
2) My new greenhouse turned up at a reasonable time - usually courier companies seem to deliver to my flat right at the end of the day.
3) Found a RTC vanilla cheesecake in the supermarket, which was just what I needed to use up the blueberries I got in my veg box - it's now a blueberry cheesecake.(Yes, I know making my own would be more :money:, but I was feeling lazy.
)
4) Out with friends at the theatre in the evening and (excuse me if this is TMI) I managed to sit through the whole performance without dashing off as I was feeling a bit. (Not alcohol-related, I promise
- I think there's a bug going round as one of my friends had felt the same the previous evening.)
5) Getting home to the smell of freshly-baked bread as I'd set the BM on the timer.
For today:
1) A very long lie-in, which was obviously needed as yesterday's bug seems to have gone now.
2) Boiled eggs on HM seed bread for brunch - a real favourite of mine.
3) NSD, which I could really do with as I've been a bit profligate this month and need to be careful if I'm not going to run out of money before I run out of month.
4) Spent some time out if the garden potting on various seedlings.
5) HM Indian takeaway for dinner tonight, possibly with a glass or two of wobbleade (my current favourite word - thanks, sonny!) and definitely with football. :footie:
Have a good evening, all.Back after a very long break!0
