Chicken - I was never a Brownie so don't know what they do, but DD's group seem to have fun and the uniform is far better than it used to be, no more A-line dresses......I'm not committing myself fully yet (maybe I should just be committed instead), but am a bit curious. Apparently there's no toadstool these days if that means anything to you?!?

    1. Low spend day, got lots of YS fruit and veg

    2. Which is an even lower spend day as I've cancelled going out tonight as I feel grotty with a cold starting, so have 'saved' the babysitter money

    3. Treated DD to a YS pizza for dinner, I know, I am the best mummy ever ;)

    4. Took in yummy, if slightly odd, leftovers for lunch.

    5. Helped out at a rather dull meeting this afternoon, earning brownie points and getting away from my desk for a while

    6. My lovely daddy is going to come down and do some more house stuff for me soon, yippee! Where would I be without my daddy :)

    7. DD and I had great cuddles and general silliness this morning snuggled up in her bed.

    8. Have made one of my (in)famous to-do lists for the weekend, and have remembered that we've actually got quite a lot on, so it'll be interesting to see whether any of the boring jobs get done, or just the fun ones!!

Been really tired for the past couple of days so a quick 5 then bed

    1. Exercise class this morning followed by a talk by a dietician who focused on people who want to put weight on, so I spent half an hour watching a cocker spaniel chasing its tail, and anything else that moved, on the green outside. He was so full of the joys of life and much more interesting than the speaker :D

    2. Coffee afterwards with DD, then arranged for us to go to the local sports centre for a look round. Made an appointment for Monday afternoon, poor trainer doesn't know what she's in for, me with copd and DD with lupus :rotfl:

    3. Got the meter changed so I no longer have econ7, will watch the bills carefully and woe betide the advisor who told me I'd be better off without it :p

    4. Postie brought me some plug plants, never seen anything so tiny! 36 plants in a folder hardly bigger than a paperback book. I'll have to be a nursery nurse til they grow up!

    5. Called in to Mr M and got the bits to have a trial run making flapjacks. The little fairy cakes still aren't stale so regarded as a great success

    Sweet dreams :)

1 Back of the sofa day. Why do cats fling their ping pong balls under the sofa and while I was there, there is enough money for a bottle of wobbleade

2 Mushroom Korea brewing on stove from last night.

3 Sun is out this morning, going to be a nice day, so be nice to everyone.

4 Must book doctor for Tuesday. I cannot get any more, so must ensure I am going ok. Been very hard. Not sleepy, but just knc'd.

5 Got to dash, cat needs his two forks for breakfast. It is the eyes that does it.

Oh and last night at Sonny's pad was film night. Watched another Western, Henry Fonda in Tin Star. I just love how LVC can shoot the guns out of people hands at fifteen hundred yards!!!

Kitkins, hope someone does your Rainbow-Brownie group. My beavers disbanded after my troubles, but I cannot go back now. Problem was I always got volunteers and I know they stay, but natural wastage at eight means cubs got all my ...

5 or so for yesterday (Thursday)

    1) Smaller son OK at school.

    2) Picked him up at lunchtime and he was happy all afternoon.

    3) Saved a mouse that Barry cat spent 10 minute pretending to kill. We put it in a shoe box on the heater to recover then let it out on the other side of the village.

    4) Went to mum and dad's for tea.

    5) Sold their Aga for them on Ebay. :-)

    6) OH came over (inc for tea at mum and dad's)

All good so far today. Saw a lady from the Learning Support Team this morning. So I went through the usual "smaller son is left and right handed, does x, y and z". Then she said "Does he lean on walls and slide down corridors as he walks along?" To which the answer is always yes but I thought that was just him, not connected with his other little ways! Hopefully, he is in with her doing tests as we speak but I very much doubt she will be able to get him out of the classroom and cooperating....

Thanks everyone for your kind words and encouragement re the house
Ladyhawk - (or is it Sarah Beeney? )Congratulations!!!how exciting -we need to know all of the details! Is it a buy to let or is it going to be your main home ??

Sarah Beeny has nothing on me :D

so some pleasure from this week...
    1) I BOUGHT MY LOVELY NEW HOME!!!

    2) 2 maybe 3 NSD with one a definte LSD

    3) Long chat with my mum

    4) My boss saying that even though we are not allowed to take holiday over the period of the event going on in London this summer, that if I need to take time off to move then that will be fine with him… he is such a funny man… once minute he can be such a jerk, but then other times he is so lovely.

    5) My blueberry muffins turned out really nicely

    6) I have been left in peace to be a complete slacker all week. I have just taken on two new projects which will be very interesting but just cant quite summon the enthusiasm for them this week... next week will be better and I won't skive... much.

    7) Trip to the library

    Have a great day everyone.

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

Brill, got to go twice today, sorry but I am going to be greedy.

1 Weeks chopping in, with decent cheese for £12.86. Pineapple fruit salads, no grapes this week, so maybe couple of pancake days, with loads of tossing. Yes I can do it, in the large or small pan, and if I miss, very very occasionally, the splash back is well worth fighting for.

2 Wobbleade in for £10 and ready for tonight's film night, a John Wayne classic. Cannot see him missing his shots. Tomorrow all ready for the European Cup Final.

3 Doing Dave's old house picture today, gives me something to day.

4 Cannot believe in my last post I got Robert Redford and Henry Fonda mixed up. They do not even look like each other. Must sort out my gogs.

5 Glad my money is not in a Spanish bank. Reckon there is going to be a rush on there some where.

Also laid odds with William that LH has a nice weekend in her new palace, but thinks that some biscuits of the cat variety may be bought in the near future. Just coincidence, cos Ms Sonny nearly went ten days without one some time ago and those cat people at CPL soon had her eyes glassed over.

Quick hello whilst I wait for Casualty to download....internet being temperamental.

f've had a Few pleasures past couple of days:

Was given a beautiful posy of flowers today from a customer I have become friendly with.

A stunning bouquet delivered this evening (from new tenants of last house with a pile of mail!) however, we have no idea who they are from.....to me, husband & kids, thinking of you, love Grandpa! We don't have a grandpa!! So not got a clue who they are from & the fact that they were sent to old address is strange. I phoned florist who is going to try & solve the mystery....will let you know!

Went to cinema with girls tonight to see new Zac 'ever so delicious' Effron film. It was a lovely chick flick, perfect for a Hurrah it's Friday evening!

Stunning sunrise this morning, shared with DD1 on her way to work placement.

OH slept well for first time in 4 weeks...therefore so did I! :)

Some piglet bashed into my car today :( , came out of work to a note on my windscreen.....sorry about your car, please call me! Grrrrrrr! Call him I did!
Need to get a quote for work to get done! Could have done without it, however at least he was honest.

Have a lovely day. Off to watch Casualty! :)
