OT - new hens are 16 weeks old -and are scared of the sky, birds and just about everything else really. They are very friendly , one is a bluey grey and the other is white with some black feathers on her neck . They have been out for a mooch in the garden and like sitting on OH's massive up turned saucepan that he cooks lobster in .....just another normal day at the funny farm..:D

Hi everyone,
CHICKEN - you saucy minx.. But I know what you mean about Phil... He is strangely attractive...
MHAGS - Glad your husband is home with you all. Todays post sounds so incredibly happy.
SPARRER - as you have your garden under control, do you fancy popping down the road to do mine?
Its been a long old day at the office, but since I am effectively skiiving all day tomorrow I don't resent it too much.
1) Third NSD this week. I am going shopping at Bicester village tomorrow so I don't think I will maintain that run!
2) Making a proper curry from scratch. My mum got the recipe from an South African/ Indian lady who she worked with when I was a toddler... I still remember her name even though I was so wee at the time and I probably never even met her!
3) Cleared quite a bit of backlog at work and am down to 40 emails in my inbox. Such a relief as for months it has been hovering between 120 and 180 and I feel out of control if they are over 100.
4) Made a start on sorting out a supplier who has been bugging me for over 2 years now. Fingers crossed that it will stay sorted!
5) Booked my car in for a service. The dealership I bought it from was not very nice to deal with so a went to another one who were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They are even picking up my car at no extra charge. Plus I negotiated a free service plan the whole thing will be free.
6) Driving home through all the oilseed rape fields. It now makes me smile for 2 reasons... Firstly because it is so bright and cheerful and secondly it reminds me of you lot.
7) Laughing out loud at the radio. I was listening to drive time on Absolut just before 8pm and the co-presenter had been challenged to get revenge on someone... So as she was miffed about not getting a place at Warwick Uni she decided to call the admission dept and pretended to be Price Andrew's assistant. Hilarity ensued.
Enough from me.
Night night
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
ladyhawk well done on the emails. since we went to a new system new year mine have been getting more and more out of control and are now well over 800 noooooo so serious management needs to happen
mhags fab news about OH
So five for today
1) hmm what good can I say about the weather? Well I guess I didn't get too wet going to work :rotfl:
2) lunch was lush pasta, YS smoked salmon and pesto that normally I would have thrown cos it would have gone mouldy in the jar but then found on this site I could freeze remaining pesto in ice cube tray :money:
3) managed to finish reeeeeeally boring job at work this evening with episode of Frost online to keep me company
4) finished my David Roberts murder mystery and now onto 2nd in series, courtesy of library :T
