  • 1 Went back to work, but feel absolutley knife forked and spooned. Will not work me thinks. Still, got two days next week as well. Building up to a mega flurry. I cannot see it lasting thogh, so may have to ...

2 Got hoodwinked by the monstor cat twice this week. Fed him on Thursday morning, Ms Sonny comes down, he purrs and gets another mouthfilling dish. This morning, licked up at 5 ish, and got hoodwinked. forgot to check his bucket and opened another feast of lamb, only to find his bucket was half full. Still, waste not want not, mixed it together and that will do him for the next week.

3 hard drive on PC failed. Good job for back ups. Two days withoput studio set, te te te.

4 It is the weekend, for we had a full english this morning. With our local butchers gammon steaks. They call them rashers, but you can feed an army on them, and no waste mucky waterise stuff from the supermarket. When FIL was here last year, he got the guided tour of the slaughter house. they only get what they can sell, the same cannot be said of the supermarkets, who must waste so much food. Same was said of our Jack, who is disabled. 'I know my Limits'

5 Ice cream and fruit salad. Yummy.

Woolies isn't like old Woolies in UK , it's part of Safeway group. We really have big 2 supermarkets, Coles & Woolworths, plus Aldi which is cheaper for a lot of things but not the same range as others have. Plus IGA (independant Grocer Australia) which is like Spar type convenience store.

We have reciprical health care as we are UK citizens but this does not cover everything & we need private health insurance. If I go to GP I have to pay $60 up front & then can get about $42 back. We have to have private medical insurance for our optical & dental care. The Medicare system(public health) does not cover everything and there is a shortfall that the individual has to meet.
However as we do have private insurance which covers some things but not others it has all been confusing.

    Good morning all!

Been missing in action for a couple of reasons

    1. Thursday = back went into spasm, couldn't move so day off work, Diazepam = comfortably numb.

2.Friday = the funeral . My cousin was an Inspector in the Met and had completed 29 years of service .Needless to say that the roads were closed and hundreds of Police turned out as a mark of respect . Tough day- he will be missed :(

OT - I am sorry to hear this news xx

Mhagster - glad to hear that your DH is home .

skint - poor you ! It sounds awful

Tealady - good luck tonight- buns of steel !. I have spent many a Saturday night wandering round the streets in little more than a bra, but have never been sponsored to do so ;).
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A

    Good luck - Tea lady. I'm told it's a cold'un tonight.

I wouldn't say too much about the exercise yet, Mhagster, let's see if it lasts.

Chicken (and Tealady) I could never wander round the streets in little more than a bra as I hate to be cold - I'd still have to wear me coat. I was never a hit with the boys :rotfl:

Was Mrs Fat Frumpy and fed up yesterday, but I'll have a go for 5

    1. Lunch with friends (tho I do get a bit sick of talking about nothing but the children - see told you I was grumpy)
    2. OH cooked tea
    3. Sun shone
    4. Did more tidying and dusting listening to Harry Potter
    5. I won an ebay auction - picking up a really fab designer jumper for a fiver.

    Have a good weekend all
I wanna be in the room where it happens
