    :DMorning

Mhagster - Hugs to you and thinking of you all.

Chicken - Glad you had a lovely lunch out yesterday. We will also be going to Ascot in July which sort of works better for us as can take DD and she does tend to pick the winners.

Sparrer - Thank you for the tip about Citrus fruit I have passed it onto my Dad and he is going to give it a try to see if it helps.

    Pleasures for yesterday,
    1. Day off work
    2. OH bought me lunch not nearly as posh as Chicken but was very nice all the same.
    3. Did a short but quick 3 mile training walk
    4. Read some of a new free book on my Kindle
    5. Spent some of my birthday money and bought a new handbag. It wasn't cheap but was much cheaper than it would have been full price and is exactly what I was looking for. Who am I trying to convince here :D

Hugs to all who need them

Just had my tea.....yummy lasagne form my freezer stocks! Now 9.10pm so almost time to head to bed! OH got back on ward at 7.05pm, I'd been waiting since 3.45pm & was quite happy just sitting quietly, caught up with some work stuff and on here!

So had a whole 10 minutes with him before I had to go. He was very groggy but knew I was there which is the main thing.

    Night x

((((((((((HUGS))))))))))mhagster hope its all gone well for your DH.
1.Caravan news. its one which can be towed. its only small and quite old but its great :) . Its parked nest to my stables and today I have been in there reading a book and having a cuppa between grooming horses and poo-picking the field. I have great plans for it I would like to make patchwork cover for the seats and some sort of cheerful curtains as its a bit "beige" at the moment. I quite fancy bright primary colours sort of ethnicky. would also like to paint the inside off white and the ceiling blue and print onto it little silver stars. Can you get paint that will cover the inside of a bog standard caravan I wonder? All this will take an age , need a sewing machine first a hand/foot worked one as I would like to make quilts and can use the van to store all the material. its all very exciting.
2.saw a coulpe of friends down the village and had a chat
3 delicious lunch mackrel salad and fruit salad for pud
    4 log fire lit [again]
5 horses in grooomed and content.
PS I've left the word "nest" rather than "next" . Its a typo but the caravan feels like a homely nest and it seems appropriate.

    4. My AF delivery turned up, nomnomnom, lots of bulghar wheat and other goodies!

    5. Saw OH's sister and brother in law this afternoon, they're so nice :)

    6. Making nice easy dinner of fishfingers, chips and beans.

    5 for today so far!

    1) Smaller son stayed at school all day and I didn't get a phone call! Well, not until after he'd got home...

    2) Waking up with OH. :-)

    3) Got house tidy.

    4) Made a lasagne. Tried to do it the way my grandma used to and it was pretty good.

    5) OH on his way over. :-)

    6) Phone call from ineffectual SENCo just now. They are hanging on for Ed Psych to come up with some strategies for smaller son but are also arranging a meeting for everyone including son's paediatrician and child psych. AND the autism team will be going in to school. And there was something else too which I've forgotten!

    7) Brother came to measure up my window frames so hopefully I can get some new ones.

    Good evening all!

mhagster - you are one amazing lady. Re - you being at work, what is right for you is..well... right x We all deal with these things in our own way ((hugs)) to you all x

OT - we need photos , before and after the caravan make over .It didn't have our "caravan of love" lady PK in it when it arrived did it ? PK hope you are ok ?

Tealady - might see you there then !

    6 for today

    1. The day whizzed by at work

    2. Had a team meeting and the "guest speakers " were amazing .

    3. My "aunt" who is actually my Mum's childhood friend was visiting and my Mum was in a bit of a state when I went over to see her and my "aunt". My Mum wanted me to inform her of my cousins death as she was too upset to do so herself, which of course I did . Pleasure ? No, but happy that I could help my Mum .

    4. Gave away 24 eggs !

    5. Having the other half of the Mr. S meal deal - with my own egg fried rice .

6.Off now until Tuesday , and its my birthday on BH Monday :)

Have a good evening all !

Greyqueen gave some advice recently on the "tough" thread about painting caravans. I think she said enamel paint - but check.

    5 for today

    1. Worked at Home this morning - and actually got a fair amount done
    2. Am breathless with admiration with DD's acting skills - she has gradually staged a recovery today in the hope of going to her drama class tonight. We did say no - but feel we have been played like an orchestra
    3. My last late thursday until at least October - and even then it will depend on timetabling.:j
    4. LO chilli from the freezer - at some point soon I will have to start cooking again. It will be a shock
    5. Being all virtuous and going to exercise my voing right - I think it might actually make a difference today.

THe ironing and "long lost family" later - what an exciting life I lead :rotfl:
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Evening all.

OT - enjoy your new nest on wheels. It's definitely an accurate typo. :)

Mhags - hugs to you all.

    1) Saw the first swifts of the year. :j They're my favourite birds and I love to see them each year, but I suspect the poor things are wondering if it's too soon to turn round and go straight back to Africa.

    2) I had a rather dull job to do at work today, so I put the snooker on on my PC and just let the commentary burble away pleasantly through my headphones. I was paying so little attention I confess I don't even know what the score was at the end of the session. :o

    3) Not one but two free mangoes in my veg box today. :D (OK, they weren't actually free as they were a replacement for a rotten one in my last box, but they felt free.)

    4) A free pack of cat treats hidden in the box of cat food I'd bought.

    5) In a world first, I managed to make a slightly lumpy but recognisable - and, more to the point, edible - HM cheese sauce for dinner.

    Have a nice evening, all.
Back after a very long break!
