    Evening all,

Sleepy bunny again - though took it a bit easier today at work - I had a all day (ahem 10.30-3pm) meeting in Berkshire. The meeting a quarterly one which is very unstressul and actually quite interesting. We had stunning morning and afternoon teas and a delicious lunch. i was a piggy.:o

MHags - sorry to hear the op has been postponed.

OT - What type of caravan did you buy - static or towing?

Chicken - sorry to hear about Ascot. Though now I am blaming you for making me miss my turn off the M3 today. :pI was on my way to a meeting and was coming up to the Ascot turning which I needed to take but I was so busy thinking of you, and really hoping that you had heard that racing had been cancelled... and I ended up sailing right past the turn off!!:p

K - welcome to MSE. This is obviously the best thread :)

    1) Unstressful day

    2) Got home just after 4.30pm and got stuck into the dandelion jungle and have clear a lot of the beds and planted beans and sweetcorn. I also have found loads of potatoes which I didn't dig up last year.. i did scream like a little girl when i found a sweet little frog hiding in the weeds.

    3) My friend.... a little robin... came to visit. he is such a funny little thing that "helps" me garden and can normally be found flitting about me when i am weeding (yes i realise he is after worms but it makes me smile)

    4) Dropped a lovely colleague off at Heathrow on my way home. She trying to convince me to get back into the dating game... Im not so keen. She met her partner who she is blissfully happy with, online so has the conviction of a reformed smoker!!

    5) I thought that I would get myself prepared for when some colleagues come round for supper on Friday by making the ragu for the lasagne tonight.... i normally make awesome lasagne but for some reason this ragu has turned out strange. Its quite sweet and has a very soft bite. Very odd. Anyway.... it may just mean I will have to do another batch tomorrow and will put this in the freezer for my own consumption. Win-win either way.

Anyway - time for me to go to bed....

    Night ladies.

    L

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

Mhags hoping that the op will go ahead today and a successful outcome. Keeping you all in my prayers
    Welcome K
OT If it's a tourer I'm green with envy!
Chicken wish you lived closer, I've just put a huge sack of shredded paper in the recycle bin
mcculloch I don't know if it works, I can only say my hands haven't been so painful in the last couple of weeks, I stopped eating citrus about 3 weeks ago. Is it coincidence? I don't know but not going to risk eating it again

    1. It stayed dry until this evening :D so got some more weed pulling done, and trained the loganberry along the wall. It did nothing last year, its first, but is looking very healthy now

    2. Postie brought me a gorgeous cape-style coat, was dubious when I ordered it as being short I can't usually wear them (they look like dressing gowns on me) but this is perfect and a beautiful burnt orange colour. And it was half price in a sale :D

    3. She also brought me a money off coupon and bonus Nectar points for Homeb@se, just as I'd decided to go in there tomorrow to look at colours for the lounge

    4. Stopped off at Mr M on my way out this evening, got a ys piece of rump steak for 68p, have cut it in half and will enjoy one piece with mushrooms, egg etc, and the other will make a tomatoey beef addition to a bowl of pasta. Also another pot of their cheap range yogurt which tastes just as good as some of the more expensive ones

    5. Text from my lovely DSis announcing she's getting married in August. They're in their 50's and have been together over 10 years so some would ask why, but I'm just happy to see her feel secure enough to marry after many dreadful years with her ex :)

    Sleep tight :)

Hello,I'm waiting patiently at hospital for husband to come back from theatre. He has been away for almost 4 hours. I got here about an hour ago and a very nice nurse gave me a magazine to look through . Kind of looked at the pictures but not really retaining much info these days.

I am so scatter brained of late and sometimes think I'm losing my marbles! As well as my car keys, my phone etc! I had washed and conditioned my hair in shower the other morning and then rubbed showergel through it...very bubbly!

Had a busy day at work. Got am email from someone ( friend of a friend) advising me to slow down and take time of work and she could tell every word in my email was loaded with stress....well you know what, yes I'm stressed and who wouldn't be but I need to be at work and doing stuff . I need to stay in charge of what I can , like housework and work as its a means of staying in control of a situation I have absolutely no control over.

We got good news about the pathology of tumor removal, they got enough clearance of tumor with good tissue so that is a blessing.

We got payment for an outstanding biopsy bill that we had paid and medical insurance company were dilly dallying over.

Hire car was collected today ( they don't usually pick up ) from home so that was another thing sorted out today. Was supposed to be yesterday and when I called to ask when they were coming they apparently knew nothing about it! Even though I had already had a conversation with an employee....little stressy things we could do without but sorted now so all good.

I had a lovely dinner with kids last night but we will be back to freezer tonight for lasagne ! Was good to sit and have a catch up although I would really rather have been in my bed!

Customers taking the time to ask how my husband is and how I am.

A nice chat with my friend in Sydney. A nice chat with my SIL this morning on my way into work.

So that's not too bad a few pleasures on a day fraught with worry.

Many thanks again for your continuing thoughts and best wishes. It really makes such a difference to come on here every day and see what everyone's upto. Hope you are warmer and drier than we are here !

Thinking of you, MHags and hoping the op is over now.

    5 for yesterday.

    1) Waking up with OH. :-)

    2) Made a lovely rhubarb crumble and some banana ice cream.

    3) Bigger son had got obsessed over the Maggi chicken adverts (strange boy!) so I did some chicken with the Maggi stuff plus cous cous, carrots and brocolli then the 2 puddings.

    4) Went to the parenting course held locally.

    5) OH here :-) Had a game of football/stuck in the mud with sons.

Bad day at school, though. Ironically, while in the middle of the parenting course, got phoned again and had to pick C up at 2pm. I don't know what on earth happens there to get him in such a state. I could hear him pacing the corridor and shouting out while I was on the phone. So we went for a walk in the forest until bigger son came out at 3.15.

Seems he was silly on the bus on the way to swimming (although he enjoyed it when he got there), was rude to staff, they put him in a different class to work and he was silly in there, culminating with his throwing a pencil at the French teacher. :-(

They never seem to know what triggers him off and are completely unable to calm him down once he starts.

Hi Sparrer - don't know if it'll help, but I've just seen that BnQ have 2.5l tins of Crown Breatheasy pain on bogof at the moment (£18.98) so if you do have a helpful friend who can do the decorating in return for lots of cake and beers (that's what I'm hoping to bribe friends with as and when I am able to redecorate!

Thank you Kittikins, not heard of that before, it sounds as though it could be just the thing. Am going shopping for paint later so will look out for it :)
