2) finished commenting on report and sent it (being efficient) :T
3) left overs for lunch nom nom and chicken sarnie for tea with chicken out the freezer :money:
4) went to friend's photography class's preview night for their show (with free wine )
5) then on to ceilidh band practice straight after. I think the wine improved my playing :rotfl:MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Mhagster - thinking of you
1.NSD
2. Sunny and warm this evening when I walked my dog - I got soaked in the morning.
3. Having someone to chat to while stuck in traffic jam for 1/2 hour to go 200m,
4. DS2 cooked tea.
5. Cut DH hair so saved some money
6. Cooked banana cake and the smell is gorgeous while cooking.0 -
Chicken - Hoping you read this before you set off but Ascot has been cancelled today due to the course being waterlogged0

Morning
Ladyhawk - Will look out for you at WalktheWalk London, the volutneers do such a fantastic job well done.
Pleasures for yesterday,
1. Gots lots of small jobs done and work and got my unread emails down to under 50.
2. Remembered to take lunch to work with me so NSD
3. Read a free book on my kindle
4. The rain had stopped by the time I needed to leave work so walked home without getting soaked
5. Watching DD put the final touches to her art exam book, very proud mummy. She certainly doesn't get this from me as I struggle to draw a matchstick man
hugs to all who need them0 -
3. Have at last decided on a colour scheme for the lounge, now just need to find some reasonably priced paint/wallpaper and a reliable decorator. Not OS and annoyed that I have to pay someone to do it all but can't be in the house with the paint smell. Oh, I do get cross with it sometimes but know I should be grateful, I could be a lot worse off
Hi Sparrer - don't know if it'll help, but I've just seen that BnQ have 2.5l tins of Crown Breatheasy pain on bogof at the moment (£18.98) so if you do have a helpful friend who can do the decorating in return for lots of cake and beers (that's what I'm hoping to bribe friends with as and when I am able to redecorate!0 -
Chicken - Hoping you read this before you set off but Ascot has been cancelled today due to the course being waterlogged
Been there, done that , say no more .
OH is taking me out somewhere posh for lunch instead:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
Hello, surgery postponed until tomorrow and they don't know how successful it will be which is a bit upsetting.
A few pleasures for today:
Chat with sister,
Sitting up on OH's bed while he has the big chair.....my pressure areas are being airflowed as I type!
Out from work quick dash home, quick freshen up , ran up to train station and had a few minutes to spare.....most impressed all in 34 minutes!
Taking kids for Thai meal tonight at our local restaurant ....again not very money saving but I haven't been spending much and it will be nice to have a proper catch up with them. They've been very worried about their dad past few days.
Has poured all night but I managed to avoid the heavier showers between carparks and work and station!
Have a lovely Wednesday x0 -
Oh Mhagster - how upsetting this must all be for you
Mine for yesterday
1. Took "baked goods" into work and got some lovely compliments. Not my birthday but I didn't take anything when it was.
2. Last proper teaching session with my part timers - one more proper one tomorrow with full timers and a drop in revision session next week then that's it till September on the teaching front.
3. Got a little marking done at work - unheard of
4. Went out for a meal with colleagues which was nice
5. But left early and was driving so I could keep a clear head.
Have a good day allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
