Not sure if I can rustle up any pleasures for Monday. We got some bad news & a bit of a setback so no homecoming just yet. A very difficult visit with my husband who is quite rightly rather gutted about what's happening......me, ever the optimist, trying to put a positive spin on things when honestly I want to sit in a corner somewhere & just weep. However, I have to try to stay strong for everyone else.

1.My work colleagues. My work hours had been changed to allow me to come home half way through day & care for OH once he was home then go back in to finish shift. So of course as he's in hospital this does not suit at all. They have kindly put themselves out and will work & cover the time I should have been there at end of day.

2.A very kind customer telling me I always go above and beyond what I do & she really appreciates it! How nice (I know I do but only because I care!)

3.Kind friends continue to drive me in, even though I'd hoped that would be coming to an end.

4.Kids had spag bol, from freezer supplies......not sure how many people they were expecting to come in for pasta....serious amount of left over spaghetti!

5.DD1 doing well in her Debating competition in the evening.

Oh mhagster, hugs to you and OH, really sorry there's been a setback and I hope that it's a bump in the road to his full recovery xx

If you can have some time alone, then do what feels right for you and if that's weep, then so be it. Crying isn't a sign of weakness sweetie.

(((Mhags))) you go ahead and cry when you want to, it's a good stress release and you'll feel better for it. Hopefully this is just a hiccup, better for them to be sure your DH is ready to come home than to find out after he's left hospital, and have to go back.

chicken some 'managers' can't man manage at all, yours is definitely one of those. How rude!

Bitsy I'm envious! We used to have such fun in the tourer, it's one of the things I miss most from my married days. Have been mulling over the idea of exchanging the car for a small camper van, something I can use day to day and just take off in, with muttley, when I want to. We'd be old age travellers

    1. The sun shone all day :T

    2. Went to my class this morning for 2 1/2 hours. I'm sure it's helping even if I do want to sleep for the afternoon. Thanks, NHS

    3. Took DD out to lunch, she's had a bit of a rough time with her lupus followed by a hectic weekend at the pub she works in ( she only works a couple of quiet afternoons but they had a beer fest so she went in to help all three days) we had delish burgers, mine with a pepper and blue cheese sauce. I didn't eat the bun, or the chips, how good am I?! (I shan't mention the chocolate mousse cake with ice cream)

    4. Spent an hour in the garden, earthed up the potatoes and got rid of a few more triffids. Had a fight trying to empty a massive tub which is waterlogged, although the primulas in it are under water they're thriving - my version of hydroponics :D

    5. Nice chat with my DB this evening, arranging DM's birthday at the end of May. He had some good suggestions about what we could do which surprised me as he's usually a last minute person.

    6. Day at home with no commitments tomorrow so I can read in bed as late as I like tonight

    Sweet dreams :)
