    Pleasures for yesterday,
    1. No rain day
    2. Managed to get two lots of washing dried on the line
    3. Lovely lunch with friends in my favourite noodle bar and now have enough stamps on my loyalty card for 2 free wraps or sushi rolls. Will use to take DD for lunch soon
    4. Took advantage of the various offers on at Mr.T to stock up plus picked up a couple of bits of clothing for me in the sale.
    5. Free bar of chocolate, yummy

Hugs to all who need them

Happy May day! my lovely niece's birthday.....I assumed (wrongly !) she'd be up so just phoned to wish her Happy Birthday! So have just woken the birthday girl who was given a lie in as a treat!

More surgery is required tomorrow, which he is very upset about (quite rightly I suppose) .

1.Work continues to help, keeps my mind off other things (well a bit!) and colleagues are supportive. Worked half day today .

2.Train into city...almost can recite stations in order! Watched a girl apply a full face of make up (goth style) even as the train was swaying round corners. I was quite impressed.....not so sure about her tail though! She had a tail attached to her....maybe I'm an old fogey!

3.Saved time & got a taxi from station to hospital. I've hardly spent any money past 2 weeks so reckoned it was okay! I did have to wrestle with my money saving conscience though!

4.Hot date with my husband, hospital style! I just wish everything was better and he didn't have to go through surgery again. He has found the whole experience traumatic . Trying to keep positive for him.

5.Traffic was very busy coming home but I didn't have to drive in it..so just enjoyed the chat. Home at a decent time instead of straight in & straight to bed. DS went & got fish & chips for tea so I've had a chip butty.

I have cried & I do cry but it still hurts my ribs to sob. I sneezed last week for first time since accident & thought yep! they're still fractured!

My FIL is coming out to visit us next week, so that is something to look forward to. Kids are very excited about seeing him. He shouldn't need to much 'entertaining' and will be company for my husband.

Well! Just got phoned and called into school AGAIN. :-(

Smaller son had to have a day off yesterday as he was sick at the weekend (although he was better really).

Usual complaints and unwillingness to get up this morning despite the fact he had been asleep 12.5 hours. Got him to school a few minutes late.

Got a phone call 9.40 demanding I go into school immediately - they got a bit stroppy when I said I couldn't be there before 10 (!) Apparently smaller son had his ipod and when they'd said it had to stay in the school office, he had run into the toilets and refused to give it to them.

So I drove back to school and the ipod was in his coat pocket, in the cloak room. Yes, technically it should have been in the school office but why get him so worked up about nothing?

Went into his classroom to be ignored by his teacher (again) and had a word with C and he said no one listens to him. I asked him if he was going to settle down and do any work and he hadn't got a pencil! He's a selective mute so hadn't asked for one...

On my way out I said "Could C have a pencil, please?" to the teacher and she glared a bit. Presumably he has one by now.

Anyway, this must be the 10th time I have been called into school for something so bloody stupid that it's ridiculous that 7 teachers can't deal with it between them.

Smaller son has, within the last few minutes, been put on the waiting list for 2 other local primary schools...
