Hello everyone,
I didnt post yesterday as I had the girls from work round for some drinks... which ended at 2am.... and as DundeeDoll says, one should not drink and post. DD and VJsmum - hope the hangovers aren't too bad
OT - hope pusscat is feeling better today.
Mhags - glad to hear that the surgeon is talking about Mr Mhags coming home so soon.
1) Left work early so that I could pick up a few last minute things for drinks
2) we had a lovely evening even though the baileys mousse was didn't set and was exceptionally odd.... i tried using veggie-gel but it didn't gel.
3) Concluded a big negotiation at work and I am very pleased with the result.
4) My flat is so super tidy which makes a massive change. I love it being neat and tidy but it only lasts 5 minutes before I explode everywhere again.
5) The boys in our team were not in the office so we had a nice, relaxed and unstressy day.
Hope you all have a lovely long weekend.
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -

4.Saw hundreds of chicks , all very cute:)
5. Steak for tea tonight - OH had loads delivered from a Scottish company called Donald something. Had fun playing with the dry ice it was packed in , by putting it in a glass of water. Fool:)

Evening all.
I didn't post yesterday as I was out with friends at a comedy club, which I sadly didn't enjoy as much as I'd hoped. The tattiness of the venue didn't help - you'd think that one of the city's best known venues could afford to splash out on some repairs and a few tins of paint.
Pleasures for yesterday:
1) An entire day without rain. It wasn't a particularly nice day - it was grey, damp and chilly all day - but at least it didn't rain for once.
2) Toasted HM seed bread with SO wildflower honey for breakfast.
3) Treated myself to a slice of delicious HM Victoria sponge cake from the local sandwich shop to go with my lunch. It was a generous slice but it tasted so good I could have eaten it twice over.
4) Reverbed a penny on the way to meet my friends, although I can't find it now so I must have dropped it again on my way home.
5) One of my friends has agreed to look after mog while I'm away next week - I'll have to look for something nice for her on my travels as a thank you.
And for today:
1) A lie-in as I had a slight cider-induced headache when I woke up. I hope Ladyhawk, DD and VJsmum felt better this morning.
2) Counted up the change in my puddy bank and was stunned to find I had £59 - it's amazing how many coins fit in a hollow model Bagpuss.
3) Watched the FA Cup final over the internet and only lost the connection once. :j (The ITV website is notoriously wobbly.)
4) Chilli cheese burger for dinner - one of my favourite naughty-but-nice meals.
5) Snooker on TV tonight. (I confess that, by the end of the comedy club yesterday evening, I wished I was back in the pub watching the snooker, which says a lot about how much I disliked the final act. (I was about the only one - pretty much everyone else was crying with laughter, which is an oddly lonely experience.))

:rotfl: Mine's trying to convince me that he'd like chilli con carne for his dinner, and won't accept my assertion that he wouldn't like it if I gave it to him.
Chicken - I'm sorry to hear about Maran.I hope Astrid and Lexie are very happy with their new friends.
Have a nice evening, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
Chicken I'm sorry about your maran.
phew what a day! feel like I've done weeks work
started with a quick phone call to a friend who lives about 100 miles away turned into a marathon discussion about schoolong horses.
next a trip to the shops in the vilage lasted about 2 hours as saw lots people. meanwhile back home it was full to bursting as everyone has arrived. even managed to get to horses and escape in the caravan for an hour with a flask and a book. almost everyone disappeared after lunch going off roading with their landrovers. then dinner to be cooked and somewhere in all this getting a pill down the cat who is feeling a bit better. exhausited but very happy OT.0
