5 OS Pleasures in your Day Today part 2

For yesterday Saturday
1. We travelled over to MIL and it was a lovely day, evenings company.
2. We loaded MIL up with bits and pieces and of course Mothers day gift which is lovely birdfeeder and birdfood, and a box of choc.s
3. They loaded us up with pasta sauces sacla tomato and cheese ones that didn’t agree with them, and MIL is a wonderful artist who also presented us with a fabulous painting of our animals, in fairness ¾ of the paintings here are her handy work.
4. Didn’t make it back until 2am and needed to let the animals out, and they love going nuts from 2-3am, they think it’s the best treat ever.
As we knew we would be headed to MILs it means we have the rare occasion to pass a Lidl and checked all of the offers, but they didn’t have one offer in stock, and had restocked offer areas with similar items – sneaky. There was a chap who had collapsed and I didn’t get why staff ignored him, as he wasn’t responding either, and I had to go and get staff to help him as they did just leave him! Turns out he had had a fit he was recovering from however, their treatment of it was diabolical I was very shocked.0 -
1. NSD
2. 'Found' some chocolate in the kitchen when starting the clearout before the builder comes tomorrow and DD and I shared it
3. OH's mum gave us a lift to church and a lovely friend gave us a lift back
4. The sunshine and breeze were enough to dry the washing, I'm completely up to date with it, hoorah!
5. Drove the car (only in my own driveway) to a better position so that the builder will have more space for his bits and pieces - blimey it hurt like beggary, very glad I'm not allowed to be tempted to drive properly for another good week!
6. DD and I played satsuma cricket with a tennis racket as we couldn't find any balls and don't have cricket batsVery silly and one satsuma we think went into our neighbours' garden, oops!!
7. DD woke us up very early to give me my lovely mother's day present and card she'd made at Rainbows earlier in the week and then made me breakfast in bed!
8. All the ladies at church were given a beautiful flower by the children, DD has dotted mine in around my existing bouquets and they look lovely
9. Yummy lunch of bits and pieces, salad stuff, cheeses, crackers, left over cold potatoes, yummy yummy.
10. Looking forward to more leftovers for dinner tonight, yay, no cooking for me!
11. Lovely cuddles and random chats with OH this morning before he went home and we went to church.
12. Feeling very happy in our forever home0 -
1) NSD and NPD.
2) Managed to find a half-hour gap in the rain and hail to get some more seeds in.
3) An odd sort of pleasure, but I emailed a complaint about the pizza delivery I had last night - they managed to deliver the wrong pizza twice. I accepted the second one and it was fine, but that sort of carelessness always annoys me when you're paying a lot of money for something.
4) Watched the re-run of the grand prix - what an exciting race!
5) And now I've got skiing, and snooker later. I'm sure the novelty of Sky will wear off quite quickly, but at the moment I'm loving having more sport than I can possibly watch at once.
6) A very tasty dinner planned for a bit later - RTC smoked haddock with mash and poached egg, followed by RTC syrup sponge with stewed rescued apples and RTC cream, with a glass (or maybe a glass and a half) of RTC wine. :money:
Have a nice evening, all.Back after a very long break!0 -

LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
