3. Cleaned and washed all the skirting boards in the house, washed front door area and cleaned the windows and in the front porch.
4. Had all the windows open to let in all the wonderful fresh air. opened the doors of the conservatory to let the free heat into the house.
5. Made dinner for tonight - roast chicken and trimmings. Feeling quite happy as it has been a productive day today.Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

Good evening all!
Wow! we are all spring cleaning , must be some innate thing ?:)
Ladyhawk - re my dodgy wrist . The gp thinks it might be post traumatic arthritis as I broke my carpal about 20 years ago and well sort of ignored the pain , rode my horses and continued with associated stable work and was also working in a care home 7 days a week until it went a very funny colour ... it was a clean break and was knitting together but I might have another old break (unnoticed )which is flaring up ! ((hugs)) to your cat xx
PK - keep your chin up ! I hope things pick up for you soon x
CCP - 1% increase -better than a kick up the bum
millie - are you ok??
5 for today
1. Dropped OH at the station with all of his kit for his week diving in Egypt ( its a bit near Syria!!) . It was lovely and early and the birds were twittering as I waited with him until the train came. A cat came and found me and would not leave me alone . I am a cat, dog, horse and kid magnet - shame I am not the same with adults really :rotfl:
2.Took a punt and put two sheepskins that I use on my sofas on well .. a wool wash without detergent and then dried them on the line - they came out lovely and fluffy glad I did it.
3. My sister and her grandson , my great nephew came to visit from London . It was nice to see her and my DGN (huh! new abbreviation) who looks about 8 but he is just 3 and a half and as strong as an ox.
4.Planted some cauliflower seeds and dug up some manky potatoes that must have evaded me last year -which I have boiled up for the hens .
5. Vegetarian supper and a tidy house as OH is not here !
Have a good evening all !
eta Dundee Doll - good luck brave one xx:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -

Hope all goes well on Tuesday, DundeeDoll.
Glad your operation went OK, Kittikins and all sounds good with the new house. :-)
Been away for the weekend so here are 5 for today.
1) Did OH's front garden for him while he took his sons to rugby. Never gardened in a town before, not used to people saying hello and talking to me as they pass by!
2) OH and sons returned and we had sausage sandwiches for lunch.
3) Spent the afternoon lying in OH's new hammock.
4) On the way home, stopped outside Birmingham to pick up a sink for my brother's barn conversion, off EBay.
5) My sons came back from their father's.
6) I wasn't quite back in time to meet sons so my brother came up here to let them in and he mended my long-broken security light on the porch for me!
7) Just having a nice cup of tea and watching Frost/Nixon.0 -

Have had a weekend away at parents so pleasures for the last couple of days,
1. Managed to get seats on train on Friday evening even though we hadn't reserved a seat. We were a bit quick when they announced the platform. All this power walking is paying off
2. Had a naughty but nice M&S picnic on the train paid for with vouchers from energy provider swap. DD loved her sushi not sure the people sat around her did though
3. Total look of suprise on parents faces when they answered the door to us on Friday night. We hadn't told them we were going to see them but they were very pleased to see us.
4. Lovely lunch with mum and her friends on Saturday in a really nice pub. Plus promises of lots of sponsorship for when I do the moonwalk
5. DD got a few new bits paid for by mum plus some pocketmoney so she is happy
6. Celebrated Mothers Day a week early which mum was quite happy with. Saves on expensive delivery costs
7. Lovely roast gammon for lunch on Sunday cooked by Dad before we got the train home
8. Lots of lovely doggy cuddles over the weekend. There westy spent most of the weekend sat on my knee but cried when we put our cases in the car to come home:(
9. Seats again on train home even though it was filled with quite a lot of football fans. Pleased to say they were all well behaved as was a bit worrying at station when 3 vans of riot police turned up
10. OH pleased to see me and DD home after our weekend away and he hadn't lived off takeaway. Just wish he would learn to wash up though.
Hugs to all who need them0 -

3. Absolutely loving the spring weather, washing done and hung out to dry.
