Evening all,
Chicken - what's wrong with your wrist?
1) Took kitty to the vet this morning and it only cost £2.50! And that was for his new steroids.
2) Went for a short walk around Walthamstow Reservoir. Its so very peaceful
3) Finished my book. I love the Reacher series. They are exceptionally far fetched but so enjoyable to read.
4) Big load of washing at 90 degrees. I only do this every couple of months to clean the cashing machine but take the opportunity to get my workshirts a good seeing to
5) Lovely, gorgeous sunny weather.
Night

hello, it's been another pleasant day here again, not hot but just gently warm.
1.Up early again, ironed the mountain from yesterday, hoovered, cleaned bathrooms....yada yada!
2.Went a run in car.....the place we were going to , which should have been free, turned out to have a music festival on & they wanted $100 to go in....er, no thanks, so about turned & drove some more. Stunning scenery, a lot of it where the bush fires were 3 years ago. Stopped at a supermarket & bought some things to eat rather than go to a cafe. All things on special or RTC
3.Home; to the 'smell'.....the 'smell' has been lingering for a good few days in the kitchen ,near the fridge freezer. I emptied & cleaned it on Friday night, placed a lemon & some bicarb in & that seemed to make a difference. However, we were concerned it might have been a dead rodent, so pulled everything out (whilst DD1 at work as she is seriously phobic) to find.....that at some point milk has spilled in fridge, went down the hole at back of fridge, been heated up over generatory bit of fridge underneath, turned into hot ,lumpy bumpy make you sick stuff! So with much gagging, much hot water, more gagging it is now clean outside & in! The pleasure? We found the cause!
4.I have rather fallen off the healthy eating band waggon & have consumed so much chocolate & crips .......was a pleasure at time but just not good for me!
5.Clean bedding & big quilt going back on tonight! Cooler in mornings & night time....not needing heating on just yet but chilly all the same!
Enjoy your Sunday!0 -
1 sunny and warm
2 nsd
3 pancakes for lunch
4 OH and our neighbour fixed the leaning shed problem
5 boys played in the sun with an aqua play set we were given
bek:j0 -
Afternoon all.
1) After a rather grey start it turned into another nice day.
2) I planted the first of this year's seeds, and ordered some more online. I'm deliberately growing far more than I can keep this year, with the intention of selling off the excess at work to pay for the new mini greenhouse I desperately need.
3) NPD and sort of NSD (I'm not sure if the seed order counts as it was online and paid for with my credit card).
4) Made a quiche with leftover bits of cheese, and it's turned out pretty well despite my usual incompetence with pastry - I went for suet pastry as that's pretty much fool-proof, the problem being that I'm such an inventive fool when it comes to pastry.
5) Got the mark for my latest essay and my tutor has marked it an entire 1% higher than the last two. I think he might be taking the mick a bit there... :rotfl:
Have a pleasant evening, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
Evening all
CCP - well done on your improved mark for your essay.
Hakeber - I was considering having pancakes as well.
MHags - bleugh re the milk. Glad you got it sorted.
1) Changed my gas and electric plan which should save £50-100 per year (depending on which website you believe). I am staying with Scotpowa though so fingers crossed it will go smoothly.
2) Lovely salad with veggie and bulgur wheat loaf for lunch
3) gorgeous sunshine - even if I have spent most of the day indoors
4) Laughing at the kitty. I only have to sit down for a moment before he somehow manages to make himself at home on my lap. H is still not really eating at the moment which is a bit of a worry. I need to get his steroids into him and hopefully that will start him eating again
5) My daffs are in flower
6) Got my washing drying on in the sunshine.
7) Loads of tidying and cleaning completed.
Hope you are all having a good day

1. Felt a bit tired and sore after doing too much yesterday, so took things easier today
2. DD and I did some gardening in our lovely sunny new garden, I sat on a little table and pulled dead bits of a beautiful shrub so that the new shoots can grow through. Wish I knew what on earth the plant was though, lol. It's like a voyage of discovery in our garden, as we're not particularly green-fingered!
3. NSD - I think No. 4 for the month
4. Lovely friends popped over for a glass of wine and a snooks around the house
5. Spent the morning chatting and being gently nagged by my bro to do some decluttering, so got rid of a bin liner of random electric cables and some old DVDs/CDs.
6. Looking forward to our scrummy smelling dinner of roasted veggies, roast potatoes and spinach and pesto pancakes, finally using up a packet of gluten-free pancake mix!
7. Scrummy chats with OH on the phone, hopefully seeing him tomorrow
8. OH's mum has offered to take me to a medical appointment tomorrow, yay, I don't think I could walk that far yet.0
