Evening all,
I will sent Sparrer a text this evening to make sure everything is ok....
Such a busy day today.... it was non stop though I did get taken out for lunch by one of my account managers who is about to move to Australia. I'll miss her because she was lovely to work with. Her replacement seemed nice enough but i didn't get the same warmth from her.
1) Lunch was paid for- I look along a 25% off voucher
2) Cuddles with kitty
3) Left the office at 4pm as I needed to pick up my car
4) Car is fixed (I hope!!!! and I thought it would cost more than it did)
5) Going to have a lovely hot bath this evening and early to bed as I have to get a 6.30am train tomorrow morning which means leaving home at 5.45am tomorrow... yuck!
Night night
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
I was wondering where Sparrers posts were, hope all is well.
To be honest everything I started today didn’t get finished I had great plans, and cleaning that needed doing but every time I moved I had a coughing fit, feeling very guilty about achieving very little.
1. A much needed NSD / NPD as this is a very expensive week vet bills/TV license/Phone bill/ Petrol and Food, it all seems to have gone up!
2. I’m actually remembering to take vitamins, we are taking them daily as this bug wiped us out. (Vit D, Cod Liver Oil, Multi Vits, and evening primrose for me), we have also got a lot of fruit that was on £1 offer.
3. Bit of a cheats dinner tonight kiev and chips, as again I can’t really be doing with moving to much.
4. We’ve had a caravan birdhouse on the fence outside for years now, I was going to remove it this year only they have chosen to use it and it’s fascinating watching them, it’s one of these http://www.firebox.com/product/1571/Caravan-Birdhouse
5. Warm and cosey0 -
Dad went home from hospital! So popped in to see him. No talking to him though - he was getting his fix of Midsomer Murders!
5) OH here. :-)
Yay! and Yay! And I hope that your son's schooling gets sorted asap xx
Lally- welcome
CCP- hope you are feeling better nowI love labs
Mine for today
1. No migraine
2. Therapy with the Wise One this morning- talked about some v difficult stuff, but she makes it as easy as possible - she is fab
3. Nice chat with colleagues at lunchtime
4. Texts and phone call from the wise one this afternoon as I was a bit upset about something. If I can be half the therapist she can when I grow up, I will be a happy little bunny! I was originally a little unsure about this contact outside of sessions as it goes rather against what we learned in counselling school. But after 50 years in the business, I think she knows what she's doingAnd she has said I must text her when I need to
5. Nice phone call from Mr Ponycarer to thank me for his cake, pressie and homemade card
Mum and Dad (and GSD) did the hosses for me - was much appreciated
Hugs to anyone in need xx0 -
Lally - new girl makes tea!
Supposed to be marking:rotfl:
For today
1. Presentation by students went well. The brown stuff is going to hit the whirly thing next week though when I have to fess up about getting hand in dates wrong and some marks will not be available for an exam board.
2. DS is better. He came down with a cold on Monday, I forced him to school yesterday and today but this evening he had forgotten he was ill.
3. Dad walked!! Yay - only a dozen steps, but he managed to do it - it's the first proper walking he has done in over 6 weeks.
4. MIL birthday cake now marzipanned. I think I've learned how to do icing roses (well marzipan ones, I hope to try with the icing tomorrow)
5. Hmm, no. 5..... erm, I have a lovely clean kitchen having scrubbed it within an inch of its life yesterday and mopping floors today. It isn't often kitchen is this clean and tidy.
Better get that red pen out...
Ooh, ooh a cheeky 6th. The Queen on Twitter has me :rotfl: - would love to think it was really her, but somehow I doubt itI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
BTW apols Millie I wasn't ignoring the comment yesterday. I've not tried Baxters soup but handy to know as I'm priced out of the Heinz range at the mo. But their tomato soup and some bread is just what was ordered when off colour.0

Yes, they are expensive and Baxters is a similar price, but if you have an Asda nearby, Baxters is on offer at the moment (4, or 5 for £2) It seems tastier than Heinz.
You can't beat tomato soup and bread when you are feeling poorly, it's a cure all xx0 -
5 or so for today (is it only Wednesday?!)
1) Waking with OH. That won't happen for a few days now. :-(
2) Boys off to school fairly happily.
3) Brother gave me a lift into town so did Sainsburys and B and Q.
4) Went for lunch with mum and dad. Dad had been to the nurse (normal blood test for heart tablets) and everything is going alright
5) 2 T shirts came for bigger son. I ordered them from Ebay and am pleased with them.
6) Texts from OH. :-)
7) Going to have a bath now then settle down by the stove and watch Holby City on iplayer.0 -
I know i've had my 5 but letting you know just as i signed off someone i met earlier theresa arrived and asked if i wanted to join her for supper. We had burger and chips in the student canteen (got a receipt so technically NSD) and a long blether. Then she mentioned a small wireless hub she has to plug into the accommodation internet. I shall defo look into getting one. Then it turned out her room is below this one and she gave me her password. Aren't people nice? Then i settled down for an early night facetiming OH and fire alarm went off. Falsealarm, but just remembered the disadvantage of student accommodation!MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025
