Good evening all !

mhagster - your posts sound so different since you have moved to your new home. It's nice
CCP - you can't have too many TMA 's left ? Good luck with this one x
5 for today
1. An ok ish day at work
2. OH did the washing, cooked dinner and hoovered. All because he was offered a free place on a diving holiday to Egypt and wants to go . I have no objections , I hope he enjoys himself ... whilst I work my a*** off and he sits on his .No , in all seriousness I think he should go as its too good an opportunity to miss and very OS as he only needs to pay for his food and insurance.
3. Six eggs today from seven hens
4. Just been on the exercise bike and as I get bored, I used some very light dumbells to do some bicep curls and shoulder presses whilst I was cycling . I may not be able to move tomorrow
5. Superscrimpers is on in 20 minutes and I will watch it in my bed which has nice fresh bed linen.
Have a good evening all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
Been feeling a bit under the weather over the weekend and today. So I've spent a lot of time kipping and snoozing.
If I can roll 3 days into one.. I've got a few little things that have happened over the last few days that I'm smiley about.
1. I found out today that my fav band is playing at a festival in the summer that I perform at. So I'm all :T:j:T:j:T about that!
2. I also found out that several of my favourite comics are there too so I'm even more :j:T:j:T:j:T:j about that!
3. I went to a jumble sale at the weekend and bought some gorgeous little teacups and saucers to add to my collection of vintage china.
4. I lit the woodburner over the weekend and wrapped myself up in a blanket and had a lovely snooze on the sofa.
5. Downloading spotify to my computer so I can listen to all my favs.
Hope everybody else had a fabulous day and weekend xx0 -
PK - hope pudtat is ok xx - sounds similar to what happened with GSD- hers now appears to be some sort of inflammation, with underlying infection.Millie - how is your knee (and "assaulted" shoulder) today ?? Ye olde sesamoid bone is a delicate thing .
Not too bad thanks, I am about 4/10 lameBut managing to get around. I had snogs from Oldie today to make up for it....errr, lovely!!

Agh, parallel lives again! OH wants to go on hockey tour, so is being Ever So Useful :rotfl: << Umm, why has that gone really fast? Looks like a smiley on speed
Mine for today
1. Farrier day, so early start, I took packed lunch for everyone, incl homemade choc brownies - it went down v well! Nice chats with Mrs Ponycarer and laughed at farrier's dodgy jokes!
2. Bittersweet- had 8yo's shoes offI'm not riding her at the moment, so can't justify it and even if I do get to sit on her (Mrs ponycarer wants me to get back on board) I'm not going to be doing any roadwork for a while. The good bit is that it will save me a fair bit of money as she will only need a trim
3. GSD has been utterly full of it and has been tearing around for most of the day with her ball in her mouth. She is crashed out on her bed now :A
4. Mrs Ponycarer sent me home early, so I popped into Home Bargains for a few bargain bits, including some bird feed and bits to go with my Daddy's birthday pressie
5. Have just made a birthday cake for Mr Ponycarer - chocolate! I am going to fill it with choc buttercream and top with choc icing too. This will be a surprise as he is not expecting it
Just watching superscrimpers. OH is asleep, so I am missing his commentary..shame! I have just realised that the bits they film with all of them with the red brick buildings behind were filmed at my workplace. I don't work in one of the nice red brick buildings, mine is ugly and grey and they don't show that one :rotfl:
Hugs to anyone in need or just wantxx

Evening all. Overall it's not been a good day at work, but I might still scrape 5.
1. Cup of tea in bed - that's unheard of, but DH wasn't back until later in the day (he gets up after me).
2. Sunshine (although I'd have liked it better yesterday, so DS2 and I could have gone to the zoo).
3. A long cuddle with DS2 after I picked him up.
4. HM celery and stilton soup for lunch.
5. An invitation to a birthday party with live music for Friday.
Now I need to dash out to get a birthday card and some buns or cake for someone at work tomorrow.Could have done this at the weekend if I'd remembered.

Evening all. Today started badly (stress at work, not wanting to go, then realising i'd forgotten meeting) but improved so here's my 5
1) telling admin i was really sorry but way behind with my marking they were lovely. No solutions, but we all know where we are (and 2 others are even further behind so not just me)
2) realising i'd forgotten meeting, taxi came really quick and i was able to slip in albeit 30 mins late for last hour
3) caught up with colleague after meeting. Mentioned i still hadnt received her draft. She said she'd sent it twice. New email system clearly having a few teething problems, and draft now with me to review
4) chicken pie made with soya cream very tasty (first time i've used it for cooking)
5) friend who had time off for stress at work last year came round for chat cos he was worried about me. A friend in need is a friend indeed.
Hope knees healing well, and pk best wishes to your catMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Phew - just got in from a gig. Winding down before bed.
So for today
1. Had inspiration for MIL's birthday pressie. I have got her a box of 2 Cath Kidstone mugs, with tea, coffee, posh biccies, posh jam, posh chocolate all on a tea tray. It is her 80th but she couldn't come up with anything she wanted and her main pressie is that the family have paid for a rented house for her to holiday in this week and we are all going at the weekend. This is why I am absent an arm and a leg.
2. OH cleaned the bathroom (must be the season- I don't think he's after anything)
3. Finished my conference paper to submit for the Canadian conference in the summer. FIngers crossed that work let me go.
4. Really good gig
5. Yummy lentil shepherds pie for tea
Night all - I'm shatteredI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

:rotfl:I'd forgotten about that - good idea!!
If OH runs out of things to clean, send him my way- I have lots for him to do0 -
chicken I am a lot happier in our new home, we feel very settled here, last house was the only one available to rent when we moved out here, so we had to take it. I wondered if it didn't feel like home as we were renting, (we still have a home up for sale back home ,which I trully loved!) but I think it was just that house! This one is not modern or fancy but is just right for us! Neighbours have been friendly too which makes a difference from last place!
Last night I got my PJ's on & fluffy slipper socks on and felt most comfortable! Had an early night & a good night's sleep!
1.Busy day at work, embarking on my new role & enjoying it.
2.Left almost on time & had a nice drive home, not caught up in any traffic.
3.Walked up to post office, to send some clothes for my great niece, not cheap to post but as they were all bargains, at least I wasn't spending a double fortune! I know my niece will like them & I look forward to seeing some photos with her in them!
4.Called into greengrocers( I love the smell!) and got RTC peppers, bananas & plums, a bunch of rhubarb and some broccoli
5.Came home & have been industrious in the kitchen, Have made steak pie, (from RTC meat) roast pots & parsnips(RTC) ,a rhubarb crumble (with spare chopped /crumbled & in freezer) and 2 banana loaves from defrosted RTC bananas. I am looking forward to my dinner in an hour or so!
It's been dry today & again a bit cooler which suits me fine. DS put a washing on & hung it out so that is almost dry. We have some huge trees in our garden & I have the thankless task of sweeping up leaves from the paths & driveway! Nice to see them change colour.
Have a lovely day....I'm about to catch up on my guilty pleasure of Casualty on Youtube!0 -
