1) having biopsy on tongue cos although now painful  am very grateful for having free health service. They've said they are pretty sure it's lichen planus but do a biopsy as standard just to make totally sure. So in a couple of weeks one of my pleasures should be getting all clear from consultant
2) receiving lovely messages on these boards thank you all :A for your good wishes, they have meant a lot
3) finding meal replacement stuff in cupboard which means NSD(haven't been able to join OH in bowl of scrummy spicey sausage casserole taken out the freezer this morning for obvious reasons)
4) being told by dental hospital to take rest of day off work - I slept most of the afternoon and would have been grumpy and not very productive in work :silenced:
5) being kept company by one of the cats
Hugs to all. Despite snoozing most of the afternoon, what with FIL's funeral Monday (and long journeys there and back Sunday and Tuesday) I am ready for sleep again. OH found some migraleve in the cupboard so have taken a couple. Keeping careful track and alternating paracetemol-based with ibuprofen. Declined the ones with aspirin in case they slowed the healing, though this may be a case of a little knowledge being way off target :rotfl:MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

2. My lovely daddy came down and has taken away all the boxes I've packed to the new house and the contents of the shed too! Blimey o'reilly he's worked hard
3. Met and started training up a lovely new colleague today
4. Made DD's day by borrowing a good DVD for her (for free, still part of my 2 week freebies deal), very funny
5. Had a car parking space at the office, don't think I will tomorrow darn it!
6. I made DD and I a scrummy dinner and there's plenty left over for my lunch tomorrow, nomnomnom0 -

Just got home, am chilling and watching Scooby Doo (as one does when one is trying to pretend one doesn't have a marking pile the size of a small county *lalalalala*)
:rotfl:hhhhmmm millie- looks like avoidance techniques may be covered in the next therapy session then?? You can't kid a kidder
skintyetagain -sorry to hear about the uncertainty re your job x
5 for today
1. Choosing some paint for the dining room. Good brand , on offer too. The paint is called "French Grey" , well it would be really as "English Grey" sounds like a wet weekend in Bognor and "Scots Grey" is a type of chicken whilst "Irish Grey" sounds like a racehorse. It might just be plain old light grey ...I really do hope so.
2.Spent enough (!!) in Mr. T's to get £5 off the bill with a voucher. We do have enough food for a few weeks now though.
3.Chatting to my niece on FB -she is hilarious , if not a tad cheeky .
4.I have eaten a whole packet of chocolate digestives today (not a small packet, I might add) and I don't care.
5.OH cooked a variety of rtc mushrooms in a cream, madeira
and shallot sauce with black and white wild riceYum
Have a good evening all x:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -

You do have a wonderful way with words, Ms C! (And I now have a strange mental image of trying to paint a wall with a chicken - I think I might need an early night tonight!)
DundeeDoll - I hope you feel better after a good night's sleep - you definitely deserve it after today.
Ladyhawk - I hope kitty's well on his way to forgiving you. I've got to take mine to the v-e-t tomorrow, mostly for claw clipping but also for reassurance about a slight problem he's having with his insides. (I won't be any more descriptive in case anyone's eating while reading this!)
1) A very quiet day at work. I keep thinking I must have forgotten something as I haven't had so little to do in months.
2) LO veg chilli for lunch and, as normal with such things, it was better today than when I made it last night.
3) Went in B00ts to use a gift card I got for doing a survey, and found they'd set up one of their special offers wrongly so it was 3 for 2 on absolutely everything. One of the items I got was a freebie anyway, so I only paid for 2 of the 4 items. :money: After that it didn't really matter that the gift card was wrong, but I sent it back to the lady who organised the survey anyway - she was quite cross to find she'd been charged £10 for a £5 card, not surprisingly. I should now have a real £10 card coming my way soon, too.
4) Decided after dinner that I fancied pancakes, having not had any yesterday, so I made up a small batch of batter. I managed 4 tonight (well, 3 and some bits - there's always one that falls apart, isn't there?), and there's four smaller ones left for breakfast tomorrow.
5) Sitting inside listening to the wind and rain, and being very glad I don't need to go out in it.
Have a nice evening, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
Five pleasures for Wednesday:
1. DS1 has heard he has got an interview for the job he applied for yesterday. Still keeping fingers crossed.:D
2. Got the meal plans done for the week together with sorting out how we are going to organise all the packed lunches/food on the go we have to manage this week.
3. Did a big MrS shop (including adding to store cupboards) and topped up the fuel in the car so that should be it now for spending for another week.
4. Lovely phone call with a very dear friend who has sent me a 'just because' present of a very generous Amazon voucher.
5. Got on top of loads of the sports coaching admin that I should have dealt with last week. Feel a bit more organised now.
Sweet dreams

Hi all - apologies for my absence but my wireless router went kaput so I've been without the internet for a few days or so! As I've been out of touch I will give my top 5 for the last week:-
- OH came back from work. He works away for anything from 1-8 weeks at a time, so it's lovely to have him back.
- Was quite chuffed (smug) :T that I actually worked out what was wrong with my broadband.
- Managed to get some lined curtains for only £10 for the spare bedroom - they look great and I can't believe the price!
- Did some more overtime yesterday.
- 2 NSD's in the last week
