Chickenopolis wrote: »kittikins - not being nosey but do you not have a blue badge (re the parking where you work)?
Thankfully I'm usually pretty good on my pins and my ailments are considered temporary so I wouldn't be eligible for a blue badge or even a space at work, but when I finally get the first operation done on my dodgy leg, I can then apply for a temporary space at work. All a pain in the rump and I'm just a bit of a princess I guess
However, I'm feeling elated as this morning I realised that thanks to my acupuncture treatments, I haven't need painkillers for 4 days and yesterday I was able to walk down some steps properly and without holding on to the railing! I haven't done that in 13 years.....
My new doctor friend reckons she will be able to get me so well that I won't need the big operation, just the clearing out the yukky bones one and if my body carries on responding as well as it currently is to her treatment, then I'm hopeful that I'll be running, skipping, jumping etc like a spring hare! :j0 -
2) Enjoy a possible 4 hour trip later (walking to save bus fairs)
 wow bitbybit thats debtfree dedication !! Evening all!!
Chicken- yes, well spotted- it's actually one of Feeb's turnouts, but she rarely wears it as it's a heavy weight and she is a hot horse!!
My five for today
1. Gem is still doing well- she actually wanted to play ball earlier, enjoyed a lovely walk around the fields this morning, stole some more carrots, helped the 'rents in the garden and is generally brighter in herself. She is now enjoying a snooze on her big comfy bed
2. Colleague shared an idea for a recipe- not a recipe itself, as she makes them up - pork with apple and sage and stock (or cider) in the slow cooker, with stilton melted through before serving. Need to try it!!
3. Picked up some RTC goodies in M&S- I think they were left over from the Valentines deal they had. They are now stashed in the freezer
4. Freezer roulette for dinner to save cooking
5. OH is away staying with an old school friend, so I get the TV and bed to myself, so I am planning on early PJs and snuggling down with a huge mug of tea and some chocolate
Hugs to anyone in need xx0 -
Evening all.
This is just a quick :hello:, in case anyone was wondering where I was - I haven't been on the forum recently for various reasons (problems at work, health problems, and a broken computer chair that gives me a bad back mostly), which, on the positive side, means I've got best part of a week's worth of pleasures to catch up on.
I hope everyone's OK and has plenty of nice things to post about. I'll provide one quick one for today - mog growling at another cat, then looking very embarrassed when he realised he was threatening his own reflection! :rotfl:Back after a very long break!0 -

Evening all.
I'll provide one quick one for today - mog growling at another cat, then looking very embarrassed when he realised he was threatening his own reflection! :rotfl:
:rotfl: we used to have a dog that, when she was a puppy, was convinced her reflection in the oven door was another dog. Like we would keep a dog in the oven!!!! The funniest thing was, after a lot of shouting at oven dog, she brought it a bone and laid it carefully down in front of the oven. She grew out of it only in that as she grew taller she no longer caught sight of her reflection. Still miss her for all her daftness.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025
