    Morning

Just lost my post  so pleasures for yesterday take 2

    1. Missed the bus so walked to work and got there before the next one passed. Also walked home so making a litlle bit of an effort with the walking
    2. Bought DD a phote frame that she loved and it only cost a £1 :money:
    3. Little tube of toothpaste arrived in the post so given to DD as she has been asking me to buy it for her to try but I was too tight to pay the price of it:D
    4. Easy dinner of pasta and meatballs plus still sticking to the meal plan. I am sure the meal plan will go out of the window today as OH and DD are home alone.
    5. Chat with mum on the phone and she sounded a bit calmer than she has recently

Hugs to all who need them

    My five for yesterday are

    1. Cooking steak followed by pavlova - much cheaper than DH idea of going out and cheaper.

    2. Sorting out DVDs and only leaving a few out and putting rest away - much tidier.

    3. Sewing on a button on my coat and also sewing up a pocket lining and brushing it with a clothes brush - looks much smarter now.

    4. Had toast and HM marmalade for breakfast.

    5. Lovely walk with my dog and listening to my ipod.

Hugs to all those that need them.

    1. Good day at work & I was out 5 minutes early!
2.Phoned my mum this morning, her night time, between carpark & work, so had a quick blether for 10 minutes.
3.Receiving a lovely letter from a friend from home, it was very inspiring & full of wise words, I really did appreciate it.
4.Made spicy pumpkin soup.....well when I bought pumpkin I didn't know it was going to be quite as hot today!
5.Got 2 canvas wardrobes from Aldi tonight (which are being constructed as I supervise!) They seem quite sturdy & will give us more clothes storage than we have and they were a good deal.

Have a fantabulous Wednesday! (I do love a Wednesday...half way through the week!)
  • Mine for yesterday:

    1. Lovely roses and lilies from OH for Valentine's day

    2. Found about £5 worth of change I had forgotten about in another tin. It went straight into the sealed pot

    3. Had a brainwave of renting out our touring caravan in the summer. For once OH didn't think it was a rubbish idea! Will need to figure out the ins and outs, how to advertise etc but it could be some pin money

    4. Another Amazon £5 voucher received in email

    5. Beautiful meal cooked by OH. It was spiced harissa chickpea stew with haloumi - amazing! So damn tasty - I think it's my new favourite meal (and cheap to make too, although OH had lamb chops with his), and also had apple and blackberry crumble for pud. I am still stuffed this morning :o

    6. Discovered a carton of chocolate milk I had forgotten I had bought at the weekend

Watch out bek...my son used to love building thing with boxes. A good few years ago I bought vertical blinds from argos and they came in 8ft long tubes...I kid you not... my son made them into rockets....and we still have them now. He wont let me chuck them out, even though they only just fit into his room (floor to ceiling ) and hes 16 now :rotfl:

    My 5 for today:

    1. enjoyed the warm sun in garden whilst hanging out the washing

    2. got invited out to lunch with friend I met when her son was at school with mine, and a few other mums. Went to the Harvester (again ! ) but stuck to earlybird, food was cooked properly, did not have dessert. Had a lovely time

    3. came home and managed to get rid of half of my ironing mountain

    4. had cup of tea and another HM muffin

    5. had an email from virgin media. Will try to keep this brief ;)
Whilst trying to change my package with them I was promised 12 months free line rental. (I had 6 months free remaining on old contract which they said would carry forward and extend to 12 months) When this was not on the new contract I was told this was no longer possible and I should not have been offered for 12 months, can only keep original 6 months remaining. When I complained they refused to budge, but when I complained again they have instead given me free tivo installation for which I was supposed to pay £25 :D
(Its also only costing me £31.49 when they told me it would be £39.40 but didnt mention this ;) )

All in all a good day for me. Hope you all had a good day too

  • Evening all

Skint yet Again - result re. Virgin :D and :rotfl:at your son- bless him!

    Mine for today

    1. I slept really well last night and woke up feeling refreshed, it was nice to be able to wake up naturally rather than via the alarm
    2. Nice "surprise" in the post in the form of £21 of M&S vouchers, from using our CC- this was only for the period of up to the end of December and we only got the card in Oct- we pay off the card every month, but may as well get something for it. I asked OH what he wanted me to get with them. His reply: steak (but not for the dog):rotfl:
    3. Homemade soup for lunch
    4. The 'rents beat me to the yard and had mucked out by the time I got there. Ponios behaved for them too (for once). Oldie keeps removing her Very Expensive Headcollar and it is too expensive for me to keep retrieving it out of the mud, so it has been gifted to Feeb. There are some roadworks going on outside the yard and I expected Feeb to be going hysterical about the noise and flashing lights, but the only thing she spooked at was me, walking down the road to tell the workmen that they needed to fix their traffic lights. Silly mare
    5. Gem had a nice time at the yard mooching around, stealing carrots and supervising the mucking out- she is still not quite herself, but is way better than last week :A I keep giving her huge hugs because I can't beleive how lucky I am to have her, she keeps doing the GSD equivalent of rolling her eyes and saying "geddoffff, Mother"

Big hugs to anyone in need, I can't believe we are half way through the week already..where does the time go? xx
  • Good evening all !

OT - Lbh is doing her best for you for pancake day :D

Millie - I hope that Gem is still getting better x Sweet, that your OH got some nice treats for you .He luuuurves you . PS - is Gem posing on one (of many )of oldies blankets in the photo? I can see the teeth marks .......

    a few for today

    1. I received some positive feedback in a letter from one of the Providers that I have worked with on some very difficult issues . Thanking me for supporting them through a difficult time . They had addressed it the Head of my Department so I knew that they read it first ha ha ..:D My employers tend to magnify any negative issue and completely ignore or fail to acknowledge any positive feedback that we receive. Which is not healthy. It was put anonymously on my desk - no comments or "well done" etc . T***ers.

2.Another site visit out of the office for half of the day , which went smoothly.

    3. It is staying lighter in the evenings.

    4. OH is being invited back for a third interview in a week for a job that would really suit him . Third interview indeed- they may as well give him a weeks wages :rotfl:

    5. Gave away 10 eggs to a friend , the hens are still laying 5 a day on average and have done so all throughout the winter .I am lucky.

Have a good evening all !
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A
