Hello all - I have a blessed hour to myself, first time in a week.

    For today

    1. Graduation day - always a proud mummy moment to see all the students get their degrees and know that I played some small part in their success.
    2. Walking through the city earlyish morning - felt rather spring like
    3. Wearing my new to me blouse from ebay - rather a good buy I think
    4. Having a coffee with a colleague who works opposite part time days to me so I never see her - she bought in her 10 month old son. Such a cutie - definitely knows how to charm the women. Part of where I work is a public building and as it is half term there were loads of kids around at the science museum, the baby was thrilled with the kids and very much wanted to join in with them. Think mum needs to take him to playgroup / nursery.
    5. OH cooked what we call grandad pie (chopped up corned beef mixed with peas, beans and sweetcorn topped with mash) - very frugal as he used one small tin of corned beef between 4 of us. I would have used 2 between 3 - possibly 4!
I wanna be in the room where it happens

It's been an odd sort of day but here's my five:

    1. Beautiful sunshine.:)

    2. Getting to grips with some work I've been struggling with.:T

    3. Long phone call from a friend.

    4. Another NSD.

    5. Hearing from DS1 again by email. He's had a dreadfully tough day and I am so enormously proud of him. :D

Have good evenings and sleep well.

    B x
  • Good evening all !

kittikins - Wow how fantastic . I am glad that acupuncture works for you too x So much better than taking Benzos ..

millie - glad to hear that Gem is pottering and mooching about . Enjoy "Millie" night tonight :D

OT - there was definately some heat in the sun here too and it felt like Spring today .

CCP - I wondered where you had got to , I thought that you might have collapsed after the essay - I always did:). Funny thing is once it was posted it was like setting a bird free, I didn't own it and my job was done and I didn't think about it for a nano second until I got OH to open the envelope and read out the mark I had been given by the tutor .

PK - I hope that you are ok?

    5 for today

    1. My last working day until 29th Feb :D - I need to use up my annual leave .

    2. I had to give a "little speech" regarding my role at work and what it entails . I hate this type of thing as I am a task focussed type of person and would rather be "doing" than "talking about doing" - so way out of my comfort zone. My "audience" were enthralled, apparently . My "little talk" went on for about an hour and my job sounded far more interesting than it actually is :rotfl:

    3. I fancied a treat and as I have not resorted to buying a take away so far this year so a nice piece of fillet steak would suffice. It has :D

4 . OH washed the kitchen floor , did the washing, the hens dinner, the hoovering and made the supper. He must be after something :)

5 OH has been invited for a third interview on Monday and they should let him know on the day if he has got the job.

Have a good evening all x
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A

:rotfl: we used to have a dog that, when she was a puppy, was convinced her reflection in the oven door was another dog. Like we would keep a dog in the oven!!!! The funniest thing was, after a lot of shouting at oven dog, she brought it a bone and laid it carefully down in front of the oven. She grew out of it only in that as she grew taller she no longer caught sight of her reflection. Still miss her for all her daftness.

    :rotfl: And CCP's cat! :rotfl:

    Mine for yesterday:

    1. Spent the evening trading in CDs and old computer games online. All packed up and ready to send off for some pocket money

    2. Realised I had already made over £200 this year (aside from the day job) with deals, cashback sites and ebay etc. Fair chuffed - well on my way to my £2012 in 2012 target :)

    3. Veg box day - OH made lovely hm veg soup and hm bread

    4. Finished the book I was reading. Cried my eyes out at the end!

    5. Cuddles with my cats

    Evening all,

I am a sleepy bunny tonight. I have been feeling exhausted all week as I have recovered from my cold... but the worst part is that I keep waking up having nightmares which usually only happens when I have had enough sleep. Odd really.

I went back to the vet with the kitty today... he is avoiding me again tonight as a result. The vet has no idea why the base of his tail is sore so I am continuing with the metacam.

    1) Managed to resist the lure of sweeties this afternoon

    2) Had a good chat with HR lady today about careers. she was really lovely and said she would send me over some career tools to see if they could help me decide what I want to do with my life.

    3) Forgot my purse at home when I went to the vet... and they were lovely and said that I should just pay next time.

    4) Been working this evening so that I can leave early tomorrow to take my car in to get its tyres changed.

    5) Lovely mild weather... lovely

    Righteo... off to bed now...

    Man plans and God laughs...
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    5 for today (Thursday)

    1) Nearly better!

    2) Sausage sandwich for breakfast.

    3) Went into town and looked round charity shops/popped in to Wilkos. Bought a wardrobe from British Heart Foundation! The boys have had a drawer each for their clothes for years and it will be nice for them to be able to hang stuff up at last. I'll go to pick it up with my brother on Monday as the delivery charge to out here was as much as the wardrobe!

    4) Went to Sainsburys. Hardly had any food in the house after 5 days with OH.

    5) Had mortgage statement - only 13 years to go!

    6) Tidied up, changed beds, all washing done.

    7) Some good money off things from Sainsburys including Chinese ready meals. Not really feeling like cooking much at the moment so we had those for tea.
  • Hey everyone, I've been missing for a while but I'm getting back into my OS groove after some time off (for bad behaviour!)!

    1. Organising myself last night so today going to uni was a smooth operation with all THREE of my bags packed, a packed lunch ready and my clothes laid out before bed. I'm not good at mornings!

    2. Made my first ever Thai Curry and only used stuff I already had in.

    3. Had a lovely chat with one of the boys on my course who I bumped into at uni.

    4. Did some shopping in Aldi!! Got into a bit of a Sainsbury's groove!

    5. Sitting in bed with BFGW and a hot chocolate and ribena in a sippy bottle cos I've got a headache <3 I'm a big baby!!

    (((Hugs)))) to everyone
I don't know where the time is going lately, I seem to have so much to do yet don't achieve much at all

    1. The weather - had the back door open most of the day, letting lots of lovely fresh air in for the first time this year

    2. Re animals - my moglets are white brother and sister, mum was feral (dad was just a one night stand?). No matter what position one sleeps in the other is a mirror image, even when lying on the rug on their backs with their paws in the air! In their little coccoon beds they definitely live up to their names of Ying and Yang

    3. Bought a black dye to freshen up my black clothes. I've made a decision not to buy any more black partly because of the two above and the long-haired black/white dog, but they're not worn out, just need 'darkening' iyswim so this is the cheapest option

    4. Also decided not to have my hair dyed at the college this time as I'm pulling my belt in this month, so bought a colour to do it myself. My light brown streaked with blonde/beige hair is now a very vivid auburn , very different to what I'm used to, and I love it. My neighbour says it's like Anne Robinson' hair, but brighter :D

    5. Treated myself to a lovely lemon begonia plant, not at all OS but I had been tempted by a bunch of mixed flowers that were more expensive, so I 'saved' £2 :o

    Sweet dreams
    S :)

    Welcome back CCP x

    Yesterday's goodies include :

    1. NSD, up to 10 now for the month!! Woohoo, getting in good practice for when we move and money is ultra-tight forever, lol.

    2. Great acupuncture session, came out feeling sooooooooo relaxed and great

    3. Finished off my fab classroom-style training course, the instructor was brilliant and hopefully I'll put the stuff into practice

    4. Was given something on freecycle in the afternoon and had such a lovely chat with the giver and her utterly gorgeous baby twins. They're only down the road from me and bless her, she's really been having a hard time with sick babies, health visitor (who I remember well...) giving her a hard time about everything and trying to make her feel like a bad mummy, so we had a lovely chat and we're hopefully going to meet up for a coffee and get to know each other more once I've moved.

    5. OH is here and was feeling well enough to come and sleep upstairs with me rather than on the sofabed, yay, cuddles and random chats :):)

    6. I made us scrumptious thai green curry for dinner, we made enough for an army but ate it all in one sitting.

    7. I found a delicious bottle of wine that we had with dinner, well I am decluttering!!

    8. With OH's help, I managed to pack a couple more boxes and as I can't sleep at the moment, am mentally planning what else I can give to the charity shop today.

Right, I think it's time to go back upstairs and try to get to sleep - and my hands and feet are now nice and chilly again, perfect for 'inadvertently' brushing against OH, tee hee! I'm so evil......and he's always so nice and warm and snuggly, its really his fault that I want to cuddle up to him!
