Been another good day organising stuff at home. Did two trips to the tip this morning with two large non-working tv's and two tv units that were hanging around doing nothing...:o
Got all the player profiles re-written ahead of the new season (that's preparing for you, the old season didn't finish till Saturday) and tomorrow should get a lot more done hopefully. Have a meeting on Wednesday so I'm having the boys over tomorrow instead.
Spends today were quite limited - £7 on a shop at the local Tesco store was it.0 -
All hell broke loose last night after I posted, details are on the "Home Alone" thread and will be kept off here....
Woke up and sorted the twins out before taking them to school this morning. Even after last night's shenanigans I was due to have them from school until cubs tonight so kept things normal as possible. Got a bit of housework sorted today and spent £7 in Asda on shopping this afternoon.
Half expecting another phone call tonight so am off to bed shortly. Managed to start the long road to building my team for next season's under-11s league and hopefully will at last have my new car on Thursday, three months after the last one was written off. I've managed on a courtesy car and a loaned car from a friend since then although as the party to blame still hasn't admitted it, I've still not got my excess.0 -
Did the early morning DX run, home for a shower then down to the football club where I worked until 6pm, returning home at 7.30pm. Found a free sideboard on Gumtree so went to see it on the way home but it was the wrong shade of brown!!
Spends today were £17 on diesel and £3 on lunch plus £2 on Tesco's tonight. Tomorrow is a day at home, thank goodness, although DX run in the morning and hopefully swapping over the cars as well.
All quiet with the other business but it will always feel like the lull before the storm where she is concerned so expecting anything to go wrong at any moment.0 -
Bit shattered last night so couldn't / didn't update the blog.
Picking the car up today instead of yesterday as there is a gallon or two of diesel left in it and the guy I'm getting the new one off suggested I use it up...fair play!!
Yesterday seemed to go by quickly without actually achieving very much to be honest. Went round my mate's house for a coffee at dinnertime and that was about it. Oh, have started negotiating with Sky and BT to try to get my Virgin Media bill sorted. I currently pay about £71 a month for L broadband, XL telly and XL phone package but Sky can do it for around £50....
Au contraire, today I've already done the DX run and done the shopping (only £16 in Asda as I've not got much more and I need some petrol yet). Hopefully swapping cars over today and picking boys up from school for a quietish weekend involving football training and the FA Cup Final but not much more.0 -
Really good day today, got plenty done in the end. Sorted upstairs completely getting rid of more old furniture in another trip to the tip, finally picked up the car (well, mate dropped it over) and picked up the boys for the weekend.
Off to bed now as football training tomorrow.0 -
Not much to speak of today. Football training this morning and the merger talks are well advanced now; just a few i's to be dotted and t's to be crossed in the next week or two.
Rest of the day watching the Cup Final, Britain's Got Talent and Million Pound Drop Live so not really done much. Around the park tomorrow morning and a restful afternoon sounds like the order of the day.
Spent about a fiver on treats today (well the Cup Final is only once a year)....:o0 -
Had a quietish end to the weekend - took the boys around the park twice today to let them let some steam off.
Tonight, went to the pub quiz as team mate had a night off from work and only won the blooming thing!! Won £25 between three of us and a bottle of wine too so although the night cost £2 to enter plus £6.15 on a couple of drinks, I went home in profit...:D
Other spends were £20 on diesel and £2.99 on a mini-shop in Tesco's.
Tomorrow is a day of work down at the football club ahead of quite a quiet week.0 -
Down at the football club all day returning home at 7pm tonight. All very quiet down there as all the players are away on holiday for a few weeks.
Spent £2.50 on a Tesco Meal Deal for lunch then, after I'd had a coffee, went out and did pretty much the week's shopping in Asda (£31).
Tomorrow need to sort out my BT or Sky dilemma.0 -
Not much to report today really. Went into town this morning to get some household stuff (cloths, washing powder etc) from Wilkinsons which was about £9 and cracked again by going to Greggs and collecting some lunch (£2.09)...
Rest of the day spent at home except for posting the Blackberry I sold on eBay last week which cost £1.96 in postage. Also sorted out Sky which from next month will cost me £51 instead of Virgin Media's identical package which is £74.0 -
Another day of non-excitement really. Early morning courier run followed by a pop into Asda for a pair of trousers, some socks and a few bits of other stuff (£25). Met up with the sports editor of the local radio station and his top presenter to discuss next year's media commitments.
Home, lunch then picked the boys up from school and had them till 7.30pm and been website admin-ing since then.:D0
