Had to take football training alone this morning as other three helpers had all cried off!! Great fun though and there was a good turnout too with a dozen kids coming.

Rest of the day was spent watching cricket on Sky and aside from popping to Tescos for butter, milk and squash, we stayed in all afternoon / evening. There are several busy weekends coming up soon so making the most of the quiet ones while we can!!

Tomorrow we're going to watch a football tournament that the two A teams are partaking in but the weather forecast isn't great so might have to take the brolly.

Brolly well and truly necessary this morning as it absolutely threw it down for several hours today. The parents brought a brand new gazebo to the tournament this morning and it broke within about two hours!! :D:eek:

Team lost in the final on penalties which was a bit of a blow, it's the eighth time in eleven penalty shootouts this has been the case.

Came home, all had showers then crawled onto the sofa for the afternoon before I dropped them home at 5pm. Quiet night in tonight as no quiz with team mates unavailable. Going to catch up on some paperwork tonight as away all day tomorrow at meetings before going to see the oldest two kids!

Another busy 48 hours left me unable to blog last night...;)

Yesterday I had a programme meeting at the football club from 10.30am till 3.30pm regarding next season's publication. It's quite important to get it sorted as early as possible so that any radical suggestions can be imposed. The second part is next Tuesday morning at 10am. Bought lunch and a two pint carton of milk from Tesco's at £3.39.

Went straight from there to see my DS1 and DD1. DD1 has her penultimate GSCE today in History before the last one next week and an eleven week break before sixth form...:D:T. Bought tea from the chippie last night (:p) which was £9.00 and dessert from Tesco's (£3.89).

Today I've bought an academic diary and an A5 clear file from Ryman (£12.58) and did a mini-shop from Asda (£21.00). It's the presentation evening for the whole club this Saturday and I'm organising a raffle to aid towards the new kit my team will need. I've been busy emailing all week and have secured nine prizes plus in Asda, I bought a bottle of wine, a box of chocolates and a family sized box of Jelly Babies.

Rest of the day will be doing some menial paperwork and filling up the diary.

As predicted earlier, just menial paperwork for the rest of the day although I did get one load of washing done.

Desperately need a haircut tomorrow plus I'm picking the boys up from school for football training and tea. Early morning DX run for the rest of the week now so no more lie-ins until next Monday.

Finally managed to get my ears lowered yesterday morning which was nice, reckon I've lost half a stone now!! Cost £8 but worth every penny and the barber gave me a voucher for a free haircut for my raffle!! :T

Rest of the morning was prepping for the website before I picked the boys up from school. None of us fancied football training really so stayed in instead - not the end of the world as they train on Saturdays as well at the moment.

Today is another day of many small jobs and no big ones. The Carling Cup fixtures are released today at 10am; I'll receive them by email around 9.30am and have half an hour to write a story about them before they go on general release. I'm going to do one last email drop for raffle prizes today as well, work out July's housekeeping budget and general paperwork sort out as well.

Been one of those days where I've not moved a lot but got an immense amount of work done!! :D

Early morning DX run then all morning spent emailing supporters from other clubs recruiting them for our programme. Need two from each club to be safe and at present, I have 19 of the clubs pretty well sorted out.

With the fixtures released tomorrow morning and the League Cup fixtures coming out this morning, been the need for a couple of articles for the website. Had enough halfway through the afternoon so went out and did the weekly shop at Asda (£31.00) which seems a lot now I think about it considering there were no special items in there.

Tomorrow will be manic. Early morning DX run which I need to be back from by 7.30am. League fixtures released to the media at 9am by which time I have to have written a 500-word article (I get the fixtures emailed to me by 8am). Then have to do a quick trip to WH Smith plus a trip to both Bristol clubs to collect raffle prizes then back in time for collecting boys from school. Also have some printing to collect from local printers!

Well today proved to be every bit as busy as it promised to be yesterday.

Got the DX run out of the way really early after setting the alarm, I was actually back 45 minutes earlier than normal. Fixture list came through around 7.30am so had half an hour to write the article before they were released to the general public.

After all the hoo-ha died down, I went to work my way through the jobs. Popped into WH Smith to collect a raffle ticket book (£1.49) then down to both football clubs in the city to collect the raffle prizes. Had coffee and doughnuts with the media team and a quick game of darts before returning home.

Also collected printing from printers (£7.50) then collected the boys from school in the rain. Since then have stayed in, filled the football diary up with stuff and watched the Eddie Stobart show on Channel 5.

Tomorrow is football training in the morning, lunch and then off to the under-10s presentation evening for the football team.

Also forgot to add two more things that happened today. Finally got my £250 excess insurance cheque from my accident in February which closes that case. And Social Services rang this afternoon about the other stuff on the other thread - they're now doing a core assessment on the twins mum and are coming to visit me next Thursday.

Absolutely shattered this morning after a loooooonnnnnggggg day yesterday.

First up was a football training session from 9.30am till 11am then dropped two kids off home before having lunch. Had a mad hour in the afternoon where I couldn't remove the plug from the bath, the ironing board refused to stay up, my club tie was all squished and DS3's glasses broke. Didn't know whether to :( :rotfl: or just get  .

Anyhow, off to the presentation event for the under-10s team. Now sat typing this unable to see the kids for trophies - all the kids get a trophy for playing anyway but DS2 got his five year loyalty award plus managers player of the year from the A team manager. DS3 though got the same award from both the A team manager and the B team manager (me!) but also got a huge trophy to keep for a year plus his annual award - eight trophies in total.

Equally pleasing was the raffle. I'd been emailing like mad all week and got some fantastic prizes for free (boat cruise trips up the Avon, M & S vouchers, signed football, gym passes etc) and was hoping to sell 500 raffle tickets @ 20p each to raise £100 towards my kit. However a cleverly placed chair within the venue and each age group invited to buy ended with me selling 880 tickets raising £176 for the kit, almost double my target.

After such an exhausting day on Saturday, it's been a nice change to have a couple of quiet days, so much so that I forgot to post my blog either yesterday or on Sunday....:o

Sunday was very quiet as we were all tired, even the boys didn't go to bed before 11pm that night. First time out of the front door was to take them back at 5pm then after tea, we went to the pub quiz at 8pm. The three of us in the team were all weary hence we had a mare and won nothing! Cost was £7 for drinks and £2 to enter the quiz.

Yesterday I went down to the football club to attend a second meeting about next season's matchday magazine. It will be a radical change from last year's effort and they've given me the green light to go ahead and interview more celebrities if I can. Got home last night and chilled on the websites until bedtime. Total spend was £13 on petrol and £2.50 on lunch.

Very quiet day today after the shenanigans of the weekend.

Spent the bulk of the day trying to work on next season's magazine with an emphasis on attempting to get some celebrity interviews. Sidetracked somewhat by finding an Ikea workstation top on eBay that I've been looking for a while now. Better still, it was cheap and just 20 miles away so went to pick it up. Now installed on the boys bookcase...:D

Just chilling tonight - tomorrow marks the return of the papers after a break of about a year, I think. Back doing around 400 a week which is slightly less than before as I have more responsibility elsewhere now.
