Long day today as always on a Thursday, it seems.
Early morning courier run was delayed again meaning I didn't get down to the football club until 10am. Luckily things are all quiet at the moment as the players don't come back until tomorrow morning so managed to just about keep myself occupied.
Got back tonight around 7pm and started my new blog (which I'm not allowed to link to on here of course) but can be accessed if you're desperate to hear from me even more if you PM me. It's called "The 100 pound diet" which refers to the amount of weight I need to lose, hopefully in a year. I weighed in about an hour ago at the shocking weight of 22 stone and although I'm 6'4" tall, I am really beginning to feel so heavy, so tired and often fairly ill as my weight improves.
Tomorrow is another busy one. Two website stories to put up, DX run in the morning, shopping trip for some good stuff instead of the normal **** food and quick tidy up of the house before going to cricket tomorrow evening.0 -
Just off to bed now after a lengthy day again.
Early morning DX run went okay today meaning that I could go shopping straight from there (Asda, £30) before getting home in time to ring the boys at 8.30am. Bought some fruit and veg today (apples, bananas, potatoes and tomatoes) from an aisle I rarely visit in there...:D
Busy writing four stories from website then collected boys from school and went to Gloucestershire v Somerset cricket match today. Packed tea for the three of us and even managed to sit in front of a baguette van for three hours without purchasing anything from it. Did buy raffle tickets (£2) and three ice creams (£4.50).
Now at home and need to update the blog before I pack the bags ready for the football tournament tomorrow.
Also forgot to mention that I had my CCCS interview this morning to prepare for going into a DRO. The counsellor thinks its best if I can go into one but he has warned me there is a wait of several weeks at present.0 -
Off to bed again in a moment after another tiring day (Ed note - stop whinging about being tired...).
Tournament this morning which meant getting up at 7am, getting boys ready, making breakfast, having a shower and checking I had everything packed before leaving the house at 8am. The tournament itself was a success to a point as three of the four teams, including one of mine, made the quarter finals but all three were knocked out at that stage...:(
Rest of the day was spent chilling although threatened my diet and my good intentions of not wasting money by getting a McDonalds tonight though I did have a wrap for a change. Set me back a tenner plus I bought five ice creams (only one for me) at the tournament this morning.
Tomorrow I'm going to do the square root of naff all hopefully; taking the boys back at 5pm then going to see the comedian Mark Watson at a comedy show in the evening.0 -
Brief update tonight as its late.
Been to see comedian Mark Watson tonight and he was brilliant, very funny. It was a DVD recording gig and I'm almost 100% sure that I'll be on there as one of the women he chatted to at the start was right in front of me and right at the end, a bloke proposed to his girlfriend so that will be on and I was sat two rows in front!
Otherwise a quiet day, only spends were £1.60 on a parking ticket at the gig tonight and £11.60 for a round of pre-gig drinks.0 -
Well yesterday was a good day, nothing spectacular but just a couple of good events.
First of all, the football manager came to see me when I got into work and asked me if I wanted to be his "stats man" for next season. Basically it will be collating loads of facts and figures and presenting them in a report for him each week. To say the job is right up my street is the biggest understatement since a barman on the Titanic asked "Would you like ice with your drink?"....:D
Secondly, it looks possible that from next month, I may end up with an office to myself down there. Two colleagues are moving a mile down the road and their offices will be vacated so I'm going to ask if I can have one. Fingers crossed, the extra space would be an absolute boon.
Spends yesterday were £2.80 on some tea and £2.25 on some lunch. Today I'm going on the weekly shop this morning before I come back and do some website maintenance then pick the boys up after their musical which I will be watching. I'm having them today as there is a pre-season friendly tomorrow evening which, if they come too, will mean getting home after midnight on a school night.0 -
Crumbs, it's Thursday already. Where has this week gone??
Went to the first pre-season friendly last night where we lost 4-1 although that can be partly explained by the fact we used eighteen trialists. Got home at midnight which made for a long day after doing the DX run at 6.30am that morning.
Did the DX again this morning and after ringing the boys as usual (they're off to a taster day at their next school today), went back to bed for an hour to catch up on some sleep. Neighbour two doors up is having a new front door fitted today so half an hour's nap was it.
Nothing much planned today or tomorrow ahead of a busy weekend with two football tournaments and a training session planned too.0 -
Early morning DX run completed and then went down to wash the car and vacuum it out before returning home. Weather was rubbish so had to dry one load of washing indoors but managed to get a heck of a lot of paperwork sorted, so much so that another hour tomorrow will see me done.
Spends were £2.60 car wash, £2.00 vacuum, £2.19 on glass cleaner and £2.00 on a mini shop.0 -
Good day really. Got off to a flyer by doing the DX run, shopping (£37 in Asda) and ringing the boys all by 9am. Spent rest of the morning working on my ever decreasing paperwork mountain and getting myself organised for the forthcoming season!
Boys came back with me at 3pm and after tea, we embarked on our first geocaching mission. For those who don't know, geocaching is a cross between hide and seek and a treasure hunt (google it for more details). Basically someone hides a small container somewhere with a piece of paper in there, leaves the GPS co-ordinates on a website with a clue and others then log in and try to find it.
I haven't got a sat nav so have to rely on good old fashioned detective work but we managed to start today with eight caches found. Might try to get a few more over the weekend but its a harmless hobby and gets the kids out and about walking in the fresh air.
Tomorrow we're going to watch a football tournament and then play in one on Sunday morning.0 -
Long and busy weekend with two tournaments and a couple of hours caching last night too. The A team won their tournament on Saturday (few spends on bacon rolls and ic cream) and my teams failed to qualify in today's event (spends on ice cream). Bed is calling...
Tomorrow I'm off to Dorset to see my older two after a morning of rest and website work.0 -
Got back late last night hence the lack of an update.
Spent most of yesterday beavering away on the website before going down to visit my oldest two children (DS,19, and DD,15). Always great to see them obviously and get to see them every two weeks and have done so for past thirteen years.
Got home at 11pm then tonight will be an even later one as we have the first pre-season friendly at home.0
