Had a good day yesterday with a football match in the evening to go to. The team played their first pre-season home friendly last night but lost 4-2 but I did get to meet one of my footballing heroes in Terry Butcher...:T
Rest of the day was pretty uneventful really. Got down there at 10am and left at 10.30pm so a long day, getting home at just before 11.30pm. Got up early to do DX this morning and when I got to the place I pick it up from, it had gone - my mate had already done it after a mix-up in communication meaning I got up at 6am for nothing...:rotfl:. You've got to :rotfl:otherwise you'd
Anyway today is a quiet day at home. Garden desperately needs weeding, some routine paperwork needs doing then the boys need picking up from school. That's about it for today.0 -
Off to bed in a moment so brief update again. Rest of the day turned out as expected with boys coming round after school and then going back at 7.30pm.
Managed to weed both front and back gardens and also the area outside my garden which is supposed to be the responsibility of the council. Also mowed the back lawn.
Tomorrow is DX in the morning then down to work all day.0 -
Did the DX run without hitch this morning then headed on down to football club afterwards, arriving at 9.30am. Bought lunch (Tesco's Meal Deal) for £2.50 and that was the only spends today.
Quiet at work, was waiting to take some pictures of a player who'd signed but he went home straight after his medical so missed him.
Tomorrow is DX day again in the morning plus Asda shopping and try to start sorting out my DRO financial statements.0 -
DX run completed, shopping in Asda done (£32.85) and back home to ring the boys by 8.15am....:T. After that, calmed down a bit and just did a load of washing before working on stories for the website until I picked the boys up from school.
Busy tomorrow morning with football training so didn't do too much tonight except watch the cricket on Sky.0 -
All three of us are absolutely shattered tonight after a busy old day.
Football training in the rain this morning and the boys all liked it so much it went on for an extra 15 minutes. Got home, all three of us had showers before relaxing this afternoon.
Then the twins piped up they'd like to go geochaching so we worked out a route and off we went for a 3.5 mile walk with nine caches on the way round. Could only find three sadly making a total of twelve this month, hoping we can achieve around 250 a year if we keep it going.
Tomorrow the boys are going back a bit later at 7pm then I have a football meeting at 7.15pm. Until then, I'm resting up big time.0 -
Hi Mart
Although you are not allowed to link to your blog you can set it as your homepage under your name so people can access it that way?!?!

Another three days fly by without an update, oops sorry!!
Sunday was a busy day - went geocaching with the boys in an urban setting so basically all by car. Got four out of four caches which is great though popped into Asda for lunch on the way back!
In the evening, went to a local pub for a management meeting re the youth football team and was very productive.
Monday was spent locally and toiled for five hours marking out six football pitches for this weekend's tournament. Lucky with the weather but my mate's wife bought us lunch so not all bad.
Tuesday, I was down at the football club and then straight on to the friendly match in Poole last night. Feel really bad though as bought lunch and tea out last night, around a tenner that I should and could have saved really. Need to sort out my eating habits anyway as my weight is soaring again.
Today I have just been to buy a Psion palmtop computer that was on Gumtree for £20 which is a bargain. If it doesn't do what I want it to, I'll stick it on e-Bay.
The rest of the day is working on the website though I'll be picking the boys up from school and taking them back later on.0 -
Rest of the day had no alarms although some news on the Social Services front. The latest report came through today and they are recommending that the children stay with their mother but that she needs to sort out her coping mechanism when things go wrong in her relationships.
Not sure where to go now but we have mediation next week ahead of me applying for residence.
Had boys around from school time to 8pm and just watched telly from then on. Tomorrow means a DX run early on before going down to work for the rest of the day.0 -
DX run this morning, home for a shower then down to the football club for an eight hour shift! Signed a player today, one who was on loan last season, and there may be three or four more in the next week or so.
Came home and just been chilling all evening. Spewnt £4 on some socks this morning and £3 on some lunch from Asda before spending £15 on petrol tonight and paid my rent tonight too.0 -
DX run this morning, then on to Asda to do the weekly shop (£40) and back home in time to ring the boys before school....
Showered then had some other errands to do. Needed to photocopy the Social Services report for the solicitor which I then dropped in before popping to SportsDirect.com to pick up a couple of footballs, some drinks bottles and some batteries. (£8).
Picked boys up from school then off home for a quiet evening in as tomorrow is going to be a bit of a rush. Last football tournament of the summer in the morning, home for shower and dinner, then off down to the football club for another pre-season friendly.0
