Busy day as always on a Saturday. Got up and took football training with the lads before coming home for dinner, a shower then off down to watch the match.. team won 3-1 which was a vast improvement on the last two results.

Came home and had Macci D's for a change (£12) as the boys have been really good lately. Also spent £4.72 on drinks on the way down and a pound on a Golden Gamble ticket.

Today I brought the boys breakfast in bed then we're off to do some geocaching before lunch. Boys will be off home at 5pm then need to do some programme proofing and meet up with the under-11's team secretary to sort out signing on forms for this coming season.

Went geocaching for more than three hours today, all three of us thoroughly enjoyed it as it was based around a river near our home. Must have walked five miles in total and boys were absolutely shattered by the time we got home at 3pm.

Ended up going to the quiz tonight, didn't win anything and total spend was £7.

Tomorrow is another day down at the club, Tuesday is yet another for an evening match. Wednesday is a day at home before a third day of the week at the club on Thursday. Friday's another day at home, Saturday sees football training in the morning and a match at Walsall in the afternoon. Sunday will be geocaching in the morning and off to watch an under-11s game in the afternoon.

Enjoyable day today. Went to the football club, interviewed some players, had a chat with the manager and wrote some articles, pretty much a standard day really.

Home tonight, trying to get a printer working at long last and just chilling. Tomorrow has become a lot busier - by 11am tomorrow, I will have done an hour's DX work, the weekly shop, bought some paint and marked out a football pitch as well as rung the boys who are coming round and staying tomorrow night.

Tuesday went pretty much as expected barring taking nearly three hours to mark the football pitch which took so long as the pitch next to it wasn't marked properly.

Went to football in the evening and saw the team lose 1-0, got back at just before midnight. Had a lie-in today till nearly 8.30am. Went geocaching twice today for two hours this morning and an hour tonight and just chilled out in between.

Tomorrow is another day down at the football club before going over to see the older two. DD1 is sixteen on Friday, blimey how time flies.

Did the morning DX this am before going home, showering and heading out for the day. Down to the football club till 4pm then went over to see my DS1 and DD1; DD1 is sixteen tomorrow so I gave her some money which she will use better than me getting a present she might not like.

Bought tea tonight (£8.20), lunch this morning (£2.80) and stuck £22 of diesel in the car. Swapped cars with my ex-wife tonight as I'm taking hers for an MOT on Monday so will return it next week.

Tomorrow is Friday so an immensely busy day. Collecting the boys at 2pm and before then, I have to do DX plus the weekly shop, a preview of Saturday's game, make several phone calls including an interview of a Sky Sports News presenter and try to arrange a pre-season friendly for a week on Sunday.

Haven't stopped since 6am this morning so going to bed in a moment before another action packed day tomorrow.

Did the DX this morning then went to do the weekly shop at Asda which was £38 give or take a few pence; a little bit more this week but did include a belt at £6.

Went home, rung the boys, worked on the website and programme all morning then interviewed a Sky Sports News presenter for the next football magazine. Picked up the boys at 2pm, had tea then went for a couple of hours geocaching picking up another six in total.

Tomorrow is football training day and straight after, we're off to Birmingham for the football match, should be home around 8pm.

Sad to say that the diet went a bit awry today as did the "sensible spending" stuff too.

Had football training this morning till 11am then showered the boys before packing a lunch and heading off to Walsall for the football match. Got the boys in for free instead of the £14.50 each it would have been and bought a programme for £3.00.

Team drew 1-1 and on the way home, stopped at the services for tea which cost £22.68 including drinks. Stayed in tonight as we didnt get home till gone 8pm.

Also put £26 of diesel in the car as well.

Sunday was a nice day, love Sundays when they're like yesterday!

Began with a bacon roll and cereal for breakfast then dressed and went out geocaching for a couple of hours. Found five out of five, our first 100%-er for several weeks and had a nice two mile walk in the meantime.

Back home for lunch then off to watch the twins old team play their first friendly, well I watched and they played football behind the goal. Met some old friends and had a great time.

Took boys back home (the only sad bit of the day) then worked on the programme for the rest of the evening including writing an 800-word article from the interview I did with the Sky Sports News presenter on Friday.

Today will be a looonnnggg day. Off down to the club for work in a minute, coming back at 6pm then my daughter and two friends are staying over after a concert tonight in Bristol. So a round of cleaning and tidying is in order before I pick them up around midnight.

Just about to close down for the day so better update after today.

First of all, weighed myself and lost four pounds this week. Although I haven't stuck to the plan, and probably never will 100%, as long as I'm 80-90% good and take regular exercise, then I will lose a regular amount of weight, or should do anyway.

This week just gone and I had a big brunch type meal on Saturday night, a small portion of chips on another night and three bars of chocolate. To counter that, went geocaching on Sunday morning where we must have walked two miles at least and we also did some more on another night that was shorter but still around a mile and a half plus.

Basically then, that's thirteen pounds in three weeks now, a tad disappointed that the other elusive pound wouldn't shift but overall I'm pleased with that.

Todays news? Down at the club today from 10am to 5pm then back home. Walked through the front door to a phone call from my mate who had broken down half an hour away so by the time I'd picked him up and taken him home, it was 9pm. DD1 and two of her friends have come to Bristol tonight for a gig so have just picked them up & they're off to bed now so a little bit of peace for the first time today... excpet it's now not today, it's tomorrow.

Had a long lie-in this morning although no extra length sleep as I didn't get to sleep till way gone 1am. Girls caught the 10.15am train back so quiet day at home all day after I'd gone shopping in Asda (£22) and paid my rent to the landlord.

The next few days will seem a bit odd. Boys have cub camp over the BH weekend so I will only have them for part of the weekend which means it is the first time in more than six years that they won't be staying for the full weekend! :(:(:(. They're coming to play football for my team on Sunday morning though I've got to return them to camp again after the game.

Tomorrow they're coming round from 1.30pm to 7.00pm and we're going geocaching locally after tea to do six if we can.

Thursday I'm off down to the football club and Friday should, hopefully will, be another quiet one ahead of a busy weekend.
