  • Football training was a nightmare this morning although it was great to see a record number turn up (fifteen out of nineteen) despite the threat of showers which turned up bang on time...

Home, showered and lunched then off down to see the men's team lose 3-2 to Sheffield Wednesday. Bought two Golden Gamble tickets (£2.00) then a takeaway on the way home (£14 but it did taste good).

Tomorrow there's a match in the morning then we're recovering from that (and today) after that.

One of those nice daddy moments yesterday. Taking twins home after the weekend and one of them squeezed my hand and said "I've had a great weekend, Daddy!" which they usually do but don't always mention it! :D

That was despite both the team they support and the team they play for both losing plus training on Saturday morning was in two different rain showers so it must have been an enjoyable one.

Their team lost 8-4 yesterday but one of them almost got man of the match while the other did well too. Came home for lunch and a shower before settling down for Super Sunday. Football rules our life as per usual at weekends.. we watched one match live, played in another match, watched one more on TV, had a training session and also watched Match of the Day and the Football League Show... phew!

Last night went to the pub quiz. Round of drinks cost me £8 plus entry was a pound and another pound for a raffle ticket. Won first prize in one quiz (£9 each) and a free drinks voucher in the other quiz so ended up a couple of quid up in the end!!

Today sees a lot of paperwork need doing plus I think we'll have to mark out a football pitch at some point as the weather is worsening meaning our normal pitch will cut up quicker.
  • Well made up today as I weighed in this lunchtime and found I had lost another four pounds this week meaning I've lost a stone and six pounds in just six weeks. Signature updated!

Rest of the day was a gentle stroll. Spent nearly four hours this afternoon marking out another football pitch for the under-11s team and probably lost some weight with all the walking I did :D but it needed to be done. Also posted some football programmes for work (£3.27) and a quick shop in Asda this morning (£12.68).

Younger twin was off school sick today (:() and it looks like he'll be off tomorrow as well (:(:() so as his mum needs to go shopping, he'll be coming round here for an hour or so...:D:D. Off to buy some football boots as they are both in a size too small at the moment. Coaching year 4 and year 5 kids at the school tomorrow then nothing else planned for the rest of the day.

Bit of a quiet day yesterday with the odd bright spot amongst the shower dodging. DS3 was still off school so he came round while his mum went shopping and I bought him his new football boots (£25).

Saw DS2 between 3.30pm and 4.30pm at the school football coaching session and after taking him home, worked on clearing my desk a bit then tried to sort myself out a new personal website that will also include my weightloss blog as well.

Today, well it's back to the routine of DX this morning, leaving in a minute, plus the boys are coming round after school this afternoon. In between, a load of washing and lots more paperwork need to be done and some bills to be paid as well.
  • Another couple of days have gone by with little else happening.

Yesterday went pretty much as planned with boys coming round after school and staying until 8.30pm.

Today, went down to the football club all day after the morning DX and got home tonight at 7pm. Diet has taken a hit again today so tomorrow, I'm going to buy some batteries for my exercise bike so that I cn burn some calories off while I watch TV at night.
  • Had to do DX tonight instead of this morning so was going to have a lie-in but woke up at 6.45am and gave in, going shopping instead. Spent £33 in Asda before returning home.

Got some photocopying done (£6) then uploaded an article and wrote an 800-word piece for the next programme as well. Had lunch then picked the boys up from school. Did the DX run this evening and took boys to local Tesco distribution centre to see the Eddie Stobart lorries, five of them there!! :T

Off to bed now ahead of football training in the morning. The adult team are playing S!!!!horpe tomorrow so we're giving that a miss and will be sitting at home instead. No under-11's game on Sunday either so we'll be watching the other under-11's team instead.
  • Haha, just spotted that the swear filter has edited S!!!!horpe (as it will do again) but you probably guess where I mean. Lads lost 2-1 anyway...

Rest of day quite quiet. Football training this morning was good though there is no game tomorrow to train for! Been in alla fternoon as I did the match report from the radio commentary instead of tripping right up to Humberside.

Tomorrow we're going to watch the under-11s A team play then I've designed a geocaching route of around three miles for the afternoon.
  • I thought you purposely deleted out the letters in S!!!!horpe !!! How funny is that

Nice day yesterday although we did get wet in the morning watching the other under-11's team. They won 14-3 in the cup though the twins were playing with their friends most of the time and missed a lot of it....:o

In the afternoon, went geocaching for a couple of hours.... managed four out of nine which isn't good and constantly had an eye on the clouds above too. It was a good three mile walk though, all around Bath Racecourse, which we know well from going there but not from this angle!

Took boys home and stayed in as my mates weren't available for the pub quiz last night.

Today? Working on the website and the programme this morning and then going down to Dorset to see DS1 and DD1 later on.

Yesterday was a nice enough day with not having to go down to the football club for work. Stayed at home till nearly 4pm before going down to see DS1 and DD1. DS1 is now 19 and last week decided to give up his well paid job that seemed ideal for him to go back to college instead to do a BTEC Diploma in music...

Got home at 11pm after a lovely few hours with them. DS1 was appreciably chuffed with his career change and decided to treat us to a chinese meal. Good job that I'd already weighed myself in the morning and had lost another pound, making a stone and a half in eight weeks.

Today I'm home all day pretty much except for an hour this afternoon when I am coaching at the boys school with the teacher and another coach.
