Woo-hoo, started with a NSD for June, quite impressive. I'm trying hard not to have to keep going into shops all the time although tomorrow morning, I'll need to top up with diesel.
Other than that, picked up boys at 2pm, gave them tea then we all went to do the evening DX run before I dropped them home. Popped into the parents of a lad who might join my football team next season before getting home and watching the cricket tonight.0 -
Hi Mart
You are doing really well with everything.
As I was catching up I wondered about your debts and then saw that you have been sorting your paperwork.
Will the extra income impact on your DRO at all? How far down the line are you with your DRO as it seems to have been ongoing for ages?!?

Hi EE and thanks for your message.
Although I seem to have talked about DRO's for ever, it's the case that it's only ever been talk. I contacted CCCS more than a year ago and they were all set to start it but I wanted to pay the fee all up front but then found myself unable to. So I'm still stuck on square one though the amount has gone up.
With reference to the income affecting it, I don't think it will. I get a top-up from Housing Benefit and Working Tax Credit so that will reduce or vanish leaving my income untouched really. The papers money initially will only cover the shortfall in the programme money I'm missing out on meaning that I won't really benefit much at all.0 -
Did the early morning DX run this morning as usual - only realised today that my route back home afterwards takes me right past that awful care home featured on the BBC Panorama programme on Monday evening...:(
Not much on the agenda today really. Received details of my paper rounds through the post, spent £12 on diesel, £1.36 on two slices of Australian Crunch and did a load of washing... dead exciting.
Also did the Debt Remedy on the CCCS website and the figures look worse than I though which conversely is good because it means I'm more likely to qualify for a DRO. Apparently they take into account what you should be paying into your debts when they hand out their advice and as I have a deficit of around £100 a month, it doesn't look great.
Tomorrow I have one of the other football coaches coming round for a coffee and to sort out some paperwork. Need also to go shopping as a top-up for the weekend, do the DX run at 7am and pick the boys up at 2pm.0 -
Did the DX run this morning and went into Asda on the way home, spending £14 on a top-up shop. Home by 8.15am...:p
Coach came round to sort out paperwork after lunch so picked up boys a little later than normal. They have a football tournament early tomorrow morning so we've just chilled since they came round watching Eddie Stobart's Trucks and Trailers, the cricket and Britain's Got Talent!!
Off to bed now ready for an action packed day ahead.0 -
Football tournament this morning was slightly disappointing on the pitch (two wins, three draws and four defeats) but off the pitch, the two sets of players seemed to bond quite well together.
Absolutely shattered when I got back so had lunch and fell asleep on the sofa watching the horse racing!!, crumbs I'm only 43, bit early to have a nap in the afternoon.
Just vegged for the rest of the day really, bought a couple of bags of sweets for Britain's Got Talent tonight. Tomorrow has nothing on the calendar except for a lie-in, I'm afraid.0 -
Forgot to update yesterday as late in after the quiz last night. Didn't have much to update anyway as stayed in all day till I dropped the children home at 5pm..... went to quiz but didn't win anything sadly. Only spend was £2 on entering it.
Today went down to the football club for work. My turn to buy the coffee and milk and sugar (£8) and got some lunch which was £5.00 for the boss and I. Went shopping when I got home (£24) and also paid for my Lee Evans ticket as I'm going to see him tomorrow evening in Yeovil...:D. Plenty of :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I hope as he is my favourite funnyman.
BT coming tomorrow to put a phone line in on behalf of Sky and then I will be back online with phone and broadband. The football club have given me a computer to work on at home so the boys will be able to use the laptop when they come round so there shouldn't be the queue we have at present.:D0 -
Another busy couple of days leaving me little time to update the blog.
BT engineer came round yesterday to fit my new phone line so I can rig up my Sky Broadband. Sky then said there would be a 24 hour wait till my BB was activated. Just worked on website for a couple of hours via the laptop before going down to see Lee Evans in Yeovil last night (£27.50). Brilliant, very funny comedian indeed.
Today found my BB activated but because my ADSL cable wasn't long enough, had to invest in a 10m one from Maplins (£9). Rearranged my front room to perfection then went to pick boys up from school. Dropped them back home at 7.30pm then have been very busy on website tonight as the football club have launched two new kits for this season.
Tomorrow I'm taking football training at 6pm but working from home until then pretty much.0 -
Another early morning DX run today and then worked from home all day except for a brief soujourn to have a look at a car this morning. Although it's a nice motor (02 plate Focus estate), I'll have to give my mate £300 plus my car for it and although I could possibly squeeze out a few quid, that is going to leave me quite short. The sensible thing would be to stick with the hatchback really.
Took training session tonight with responsibility for the goalkeepers and got home just after eight. Also went shopping this afternoon to Asda where I spent about £27...0 -
Back's been aching all day from yesterday's training session.... and I was taking it, not taking part in it!!
Early morning DX run, website work and started to organise a raffle for next week's under-10's presentation evening. Emailed around thirty businesses and managed to get free bowling passes, free gym passes, family tickets for local stately home estate and much more. Also welcoming more ideas from anyone else on what I can get.
Picked boys up from school this afternoon and we've done little of note since then. We've got football training in the morning and a summer tournament on Sunday morning too.0
