Brief update today as I'm shattered. Got a few articles sorted today, boys were dropped around at 1pm and took them to football training tonight before dropping them home.

Spent £20 on diesel and £4 in Tesco's and that was it although tomorrow is rent day!

Smart, I have come late to this, but if I was you I would write to the SS about the report's inaccuracies-you usually have 28 days. Whilst correcting them won't change the current action (or inaction) taken, it will ensure that things are correct going forward and may be important going forward if further action is needed and she continues to lie. I am so sorry to read about all of this-you are obviously a devoted dad.
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!

Hi Suzi and thanks for coming across. I've only just restarted the diary again after a few weeks leaving it lying idle.... (like myself!!).

I will definitely ask them to correct the inaccuracies for sure. There's no point in doing a report if you fill it with incorrect information and although my case cannot be compared to some of those high profile cases where SS have messed up big time, it still reeks of either inefficiency, laziness or both. I'll be meeting the solicitors some time this week or next.

As for life, had a good day today. Did a brief trip to Asda to get a mini shop (£16). Finally got 90% of my paperwork sorted and organised and then picked the boys up from home. Went around the park with them this afternoon where our local team were playing at home.

Tonight have just chilled out after tea and watched both live games on Sky Sports.

Tomorrow I'm working for the football club in the afternoon with my last home match of the season before going to Peterborough on Monday although I'm only driving part of the way.

Felt a lot better both physically and mentally today as went to bed really early and lay in until 8am.

Wow, came back from the best game of the season. My team were 2-0 down with four minutes to go, with ten men, and came back to draw 2-2 in the end...:j:beer::T:D

T'was nice not having the boys football this weekend as we could laze around this morning and relax a little. Went down to football, came back and resisted the temptation to get a McDonalds for tea.

Tomorrow will be another relaxing day with maybe a trip around the park as the extent of our energies.

Nice day today although as with every Sunday, I had to take my little men back home tonight....:(

Woke up, had breakfast then went around the local park for a good 90 minutes or so, giving them a run out. My two aren't overly athletic although they do play football for two teams so during the summer, I'll give them a good runout once a week.

After I took them home, picked up a few bits from Tesco (£2) then tonight went to the pub quiz which cost £2 to enter and £8 for a round of drinks. Our team of four won first prize which spookily enough was £40 so I got my ten pounds back!! :T

Tomorrow I'm off to Peterborough with football although I'm only going halfway in my car and picking up a lift from there onwards.

Long old day yesterday hence the lack of an update when I got home last night.

Went to Peterborough yesterday for the match - parked car at Newbury (£10) where we had lunch (£7) and drove media managers car to the ground saving me petrol. Team drew 2-2 despite being 1-0 up with three minutes left....

Drove back via the services (£8) and got home around 10pm in the end.

Today head is still a bit fuzzy so am working from home and doing a little bit of part-time job hunting as the club won't be paying me for my programme contributions during the summer meaning my income will drop by £100 a month...:(

Football club might be on the brink of offering me a temporary summer job that might make up the shortfall mentioned above. It would be good too as I know the people I work for as well rather than have to go in somewhere new. Fingers crossed, eh?

Today did the DX run this morning, back home then went for a haircut. One of the little MSE things I've done this year - I always used to go into the city and get my haircut but it cost £11 plus £2 for parking, sometimes more. This place is £8, free parking and the whole thing from leaving home, getting a haircut and going home is less than an hour whereas before it was twice that.

Also spent £10 on shopping too.

Now sat at home typing this on my laptop in the dark. Got home from football training to find everything in darkness and the electricity people digging up the road outside. That was 8pm and still no power so I'm off to bed very soon if it doesn't come back on as I need some laptop juice for the morning.

Well the power cut didn't end until 11pm so was well away in the land of nod by then....

Yesterday did the courier run, home for breakfast and a shower then down to the football club. Worked there till 6.30pm then went to a Sportsmans Dinner afterwards featuring Paul Merson. For those who aren't familiar with him, he's a footballer that played for Arsenal, Middlesbrough, Portsmouth, Aston Villa and England. That's not the whole story though - he also suffered from a series of addiction problems including gambling, drinking and drugs - but he was a fascinating subject to listen to. The story of how one bet he placed was £150,000 is extraordinary to a mere pauper like myself...

Dinner and drinks cost £37.50, probably couldn't really afford it but I've only ever been to a couple before and I get a fiver knocked off the price.

Today have been shopping already and spent £34 in Asda, £2.50 on handwashing the car and then £60 to fill the car up with diesel as we're off to Cornwall this afternoon for the under-10's tour. All paid for months ago and it's a shame it wasn't last weekend really for the weather but there you go. Will take laptop with me though to keep up to date with the football tomorrow.

Great weekend so far as I sit here in my caravan typing this message...:D

Got here at 3.30pm yesterday - caravan is nice, better than Haven for sure although I'd say there's not as much to do on the social side really.

Today played loads of crazy golf (its free within the price) and this morning, the under-10's played their first 11-a-side match on a full sized pitch, winning 9-2 against Wadebridge.

Had a beach party on the, er, beach this afternoon including a beach party. Almsot forgot that on the way back from the match, the coach had designed a Treasure Hunt; ten clues to find on the 25 mile journey back home. Our car won, prize presented tomorrow evening.

The boys are playing a tournament tomorrow so will be shattered by tomorrow night for sure before we head for home on Monday morning!
