you people make me laugh..... CAR drivers are the worst!! think they own the road... keep the lorries off.... motor bikes should be banned!!!!! OMG get over your selves!! try sitting in another seat for a change and see what the view is like!!!!! bikes get hated because they can move through traffic faster than cars... NOOO dont allow that!! lorries are slooowww and inconsiderate!!! ban them to a single lane!!!!
I ride a bike... and know that car drivers dont look and even worse dont care if there is a bike about! move over to the middle of the road and block them...
over take the lorrie its in your way!!!!

SLOW DOWN AND BL**Y LOOK AT WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!!!

and yes im a little mad at your attitudes!

Actually I don't mind bikes at all. Infact I always shift over on single lane traffic so they can blast past me knowing they'll never hold me up. Unless they fudge up a corner and end up on their ar5e with their bike lying in pieces across the road.

There needs to be some sort of incentive from the Govt. for companies to transport goods by lorry way out of peak traffic time. And tractors.

...while the bike slithers around the lanes overtaking and undertaking willynilly, attracting an accident, hiding in the blind spot, confusing the car driver in front, as he wonders whether the bike is going to overtake him from the inside....Yeah mate: us car drivers always knowingly trying to do serious damage to the evil nasty biker .

You wanna know why bikers are hated? Because car drivers know that if there is a collision (whosever fault it is), the biker is likely to suffer very serious injury, but fault will commonly always lie with the car driver because it is the larger, safer vehicle. No car driver wants the death of a biker on their concience, which makes it very nervy when there is a biker on the road.

I also let motorbikes past, because I know that my 1.8L sh*theap is no match for a Kawasaki 9999-whatever, and I don't want an impatient, reckless biker popping in and out of my blind spot. It is massively easier for a bike to lose control than a motorcar, and it is massively easier for a biker to injure themselves than a motorcar driver, which worries me, therefore angers me...

This won't work as all the NIMBY's wont want to be woken up by a lorry trundling past their house at 2am, and alot of towns London included have night time lorry bans. I know, lets turn lorries into underground trains and transport the goods that way, no idiots overtaking or hogging the middle lane, not poluting the air and perhaps run when the underground shuts for the night?????

    OMG!! so narrow minded..

and for all your info... hubby is a long distance lorry driver, drives a 40ft truck that can only go 56 miles a hour! thats the gov regulation. but not all the trucks on the roads are english and not all are restricted. (or legal i should add)

    this is just My opinon...

Think the Scottish Welsh and Irish ones are restricted as well.

Not so sure about the Irish....:rotfl:

Also the major supermarkets like Asda, Tesco, Sainsburys (not sure about Morrisons?) have limited their trucks to 52mph, think one even went as low as 50mph limiter

And if you're lucky you won't get knocked off your bike. You are able to control where you are on the road and where you go! You have to look out for yourself, especially when you're the most vulnerable road user.

I bet you're like that idiot I saw overtaking a car waiting to turn right. Car went for it and he got taken clean off his bike. Fair enough the car driver should have looked in his mirror and blindspot, but the speed the bike was moving I doubt he'd have had much chance to see him - and the bike had no chance of stopping. Overtaking a car that's about to cut straight across your intended path is pretty stupid anyway, and I bet the to$$er still blamed the car driver.

Weren't motorcyclists calling for some sort of stupid law that all car drivers should be to blame in any accident between a car and bike?! Clearly this is not always the case.

never in my life have I heard such !!!!!!!!.Apart from achtunglady very few of you have spoken with any brains.Motorways have 3 lanes.not fast ,slow and overtaking. If you want to sit in lane 2 behind a hgv then do so and stop !!!!ing moaning about it you stupid !!!!! It isnt hgvs that cause hold ups,its !!!!! in cars tearing along up each others !!!!!! and suddnely braking, causing a domino effect that causes cars further back coming to a virtual halt.If you observe lane 1 where all the trucks are ,you will notice that they are moving along quite nicely while you are sat in your lane stationary, this is because they observe, assess, and execute.

    Connor is back I see:rotfl:

Anyway, It would be nice if all lorries could trundle along in procession at 56 mph, just the same as if all cars did the same at 70 but it doesn't work that way, (it could for cars).

There's a world of difference between a max loaded HGV uon an uphill section and an empty Tesco liner, about 15mph or thereabouts, cars can all do 70.

Minimum speed limit for cars on motorways, some countries do don't they?
