  • well, it sounds more promising than it did last night - hope she keeps on improving, and that it is good news from the vet later
  • Hi, Ive just been to see smudgy and omg she doesnt look like my cat,all her neck has been shaved and matted with blood, she has a plaster pot all the way up her arm,all tubes attached to the drip.
The vet said it is deliberate poisoning, the levels of poison in her system was of the chart, which had also made her vital signs go of the chart, they said they were so high the computer could not even read some of them, today they are slightly better, but they said she is by know means out of the woods, they are going to keep her in over the weekend and if there isnt a huge improvement by monday they are going to insist on putting her down,
she was looking at me and had a little feeble meow trying to get to me,the vet said she could tell smudgy loves me very much.
I am so angry her mind is still all there and is my same smudgy but that ******
has messed up her poor body.the vet will give a statment to police that in his opinion she has been poisoned deliberetly
  • your poor cat - it must have been really distressing to see her like that - I hope she picks up over the weekend.

Hope she pulls through. Seems more likely the neighbour has done it, i'm glad I don't live there i'd probably go off one one!

It sounds like you have an absolute star of a vet there.

Whatever happens I really really hope that Smudgy recovers from this ordeal for her sake and for yours.

Her recovery really would be revenge on the piece of sh*t who orchestrated this. I hope he gets his comeuppance in some public and lasting way.
  • I am still not sure how you could prove it was deliberate - even if she has drank a lot, it could be because someone has spilt a bottle full which she has then found...

I know he proberly wont get found guilty in court or anything like that but im hoping police knocking at his door and an alligation being made will put him off doing it again

i have everything crossed for Smudgie,...what a gorgeous cat.

i hope your neighbour rots in hell - i personally think it is a huge coincidence that he smiled at you when he usually ignores you. why are some people so nasty? what on earth do people like that get out of life? it is beyond me.

The OP shouldn't be trying to prove anything just supply as much evidence as is available, it's the job of the police to conduct a thorough (and unbiased) investigation.

absolutely - but realistically, unless someone saw him, or he told someone he has done it, and they are prepared to give a statement to that effect, it is unlikely the police can do anything more than have a word with him, as the OP recognises... and of course the neighbour could well be completely innocent here.

If he is not, then the police asking him questions about it may well stop him from any further attempts.
