It doesn't make much difference to us, DD may wake up a little earlier than normal, but we put her down quite late this eve, so we shall see. Apart from that it only takes one day for her to get used to it, as obviously the next day she will go to bed 'an hour later' than usual technically, so it all is the same as usual. Don't know if I would be so blase with triplets though!

I love winter with the cosy nights in, and love summer too!

I hate the clock changes too. It takes me about a week to adjust my own body clock. Children and animals take about a week to ajust too in my experience.
The dogs will be up at 6am tomorrow instead of 7am, not much fun as I have been in bed for three days with possible swine flu and now DH is starting to feel unwell!Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20 -

Me too . Took me a while to explain to OH that while OTHER people get an extra hour in bed as far as LO is concerned 5am is his normal wake op time of 6am. Did put him to bed an hour later yesterday and today in an effort to get him to sleep later so hope it works!MSE PARENT CLUB MEMBER.ds1 nov 1997ds2 nov 2007:jFirst DDFirst DD born in june:beer:.0 -
I love the early dark nights so it doesn't bother me one bit.
The baby is 5 months old and doesn't wake till between 8 and 9am, so if it's between 7 and 8, it will still be fine.
I hate the dark evenings:(
I feel like all my day has been snatched away:mad:
I get up in the dark, I go to work as its just become proper day & then its dark when I come out.
I still by a window (a wall of windows) but the blinds are nearly always drawn because of screen glare.0 -

You do not get an extra hour - there are only ever 24 hours in each day. It's only the clock that's adjusted
Actually you do:cool:
The clocks go back at 2am.
So from midnight to 2am its 2 hours.
Then at 2am it becomes 1am.
From 1 am to midnight its 23 hours.
2 hours + 23 hours = 25 hours;):D0
