  • I have a sneaky feeling Vista print may have had their knuckles wrapped over this.
I ordered some calendars from them last year.
By all accounts I signed up to the premier club, this is the same as the other vista club.
I never received an email saying I had signed up and did not knowingly agree to it unless it was in some small print.
I have contacted Vista print direct you get the usual push button 1 etc choices and i think the club number was 4.
The phone was answered almost immediately and a very polite girl called Wendy asked how she could be of assistance.
I explained the situation and she was very apologetic and said my membership to the club would be cancelled. EVEN better still I would have all the money refunded that I have been paying for months on end.
I have already received my cancellation e-mail and was told the money would be refunded in the next 1-2 payment cycles.
The number to contact them on is-0800 028 8251

i have just rang the number on my credit card statement , vista print was one of the names that it mentioned on the message, i then googled the number and it led my to this forum. i have order a few times form vista print for my business and have never seen anything to do with prem.com  .ihave never recived any email's from prem.com.i have to wait till they open in the morning to ring them again. it's really naughty of vista print/prem.com to be taking money off people like this!!!
i'll never order from there site again.
  • i just realised shdpdsc.com had been taking £8 from my account every month since March 2008...my statement had the following phone number, which i called; 0808 234 1539

I spoke to a man who said he couldn't cancel my account (which i didnt set up!) until i gave him my home address and other details. i was hesitant but did as he asked as I wanted to have my money refunded.

He told me that back in march when i was on easyjet.com booking a flight (true), i had clicked the £10 discount button which directed me, unknowlingly, to shoppers discounts. obviously i hadnt realised this as i was entering my personal details...i thought that i was simply signing up for my easyjet air fair discount.

i've also been getting huge amounts of junk mail which link time wise to this online 'company' of thieves taking my information!

I was happy to resolve the problem in one phonecall, 6 amounts of £8 has since been refunded.

I am furious they took my money.

I'm also annoyed at myself for not noticing until now.
    They took £48 total.

I hope by writing this someone can put a stop to this.

I can only begin to imagine the amount of money they have taken from people like me who simply haven't noiced!

Shocking behaviour. How can we make it stop?!!!!
  • I have recently ordered from Vista, and must say their products are impressive, however after reading this thread, I was unsure as to whether or not I had signed up to anything I shouldn't have, so I went back onto vista print and cancelled anything I may have signed up to and have now received an email saying that my membership has been cancelled.

I hope that this will put a stop to them taking any unwarrented money out of my account.

    Will keepyou posted.

Read the small print before you enter your details.

Check your bank statements more often than once every six months.

I got hooked into this by buying from electricshopping.com

Apparently it is something at the end of the buying process where you're asked if you want something or other. Obviously it's not clear there's a charge etc as I would never have agreed/wanted it.

I phoned shoppingdiscounts this morning and they have cancelled my membership and will be refunding me £8 six times which should be in my account in 10 days' time.

He said they are doing that because I unknowingly signed up for it and that is not their intention. The man on the phone was polite and no resistence was given to me requesting a full refund and cancellation.
  • wish i had found this site earlier, i had calendars from vistaprint last year, and like someone else said they were of good quality and i was very pleased with them, iwas going to order more this year, untill i read all of your post on here. I thought i was the only one and had made a silly mistake. I noticed several sums 0f £9.95 gone out of my bank to vistaprint, i don't remember authorising this. When i rang them up she said i had signed up, but she could cancel it if i wanted. Thinking it was me doing something silly i didn't question it further, and put it down to stupidity, i wasn't very happy though as i didn't even understand what the £9.95 was for, i got absolutly nothing for it, if fact i must have just given it to them each month!! Luckily i have now read all your comments.. and will not now be ordering anything more from them, which is a shame because as i said i was really pleased with the calendars.

Despite people's emotive response and the obvious ethics of deliberately catching people out I very much doubt it's illegal. This has been reported many times by many people over many years and I'd find it difficult to believe that the authorities would take no action over something illegal since they are well aware of this.
