  • Same thing happened to me, I noticed two payments of £9.95 that left my account this month and only a few days apart. When I rang Vistaprint I was told I subscribed somehow by entering my email address when I opened my account back in November, but I have no recollection of doing this. I was directed from the VP homepage via Help -> Payment/Billing -> What does the billing code "VPREWARDS.COM" mean? link, which I clicked; if you then scroll down there is an area entitled "How do I cancel my membership?". From here you can fill in a form to request your membership is cancelled and apparently call the number given which is 0845 072 2002 to request a refund, but today when trying I was bounced from one full mailbox to another and had no luck getting through to anyone.... guess I will try again tomorrow!:mad::mad::mad:

  • i actually managed to get through to someone earlier in the week. i was promised a full refund and an e-mail to confirm. guess what... nothing has happened yet!

getting really quite cross with this now

  • No time to catch up with this thread -- it's been running for years now (and if the OP could PLEASE change the title so it mentions VISTA PRINT, that would help.)

The operation is a trap for the unwary. If everyone caught out by it rang Consumer Direct, Trading Standards would be so engulfed in nationwide complaints that it could bring pressure to bear via credit and debit card providers on the main payments processor.

    Don't just complain here.
  • I have a huge blog post with all the details of all of the different scamming sites Vistaprint Adaptive Affinity run and how best to get a refund.

  • Dear Sir/Madam,

I have exactly the same problem with you with the website highstreetmax.com. They have been charging me a certain amount monthly because according to what they say I somehow became a member. I have no idea which other website I used and unwillingly became a member of highstreetmax.com, therefore it took me about a year to actually realise these unauthorised payments on my account. Could you please give me an advice, since it seems that you experienced the same problem? Did you get refunded? If yes, from the highstreetmax.com or from your bank?

    Regards,
    Zoe

I seem to have been a victim of this, but under the name of highstreetmax.com. I did buy something via lastminute.com but as far as I am aware I would have clicked 'No I don't want to join your club' and they have taken £29.90 from my Amex card.

I've raised a disputed transaction with Amex and they have promised not to let any more be billed to my account, hopefully I'll get my money returned without fuss.

I won't be using lastminute.com again after this, like others I consider myself pretty PC savy and would not have signed up for this. I also save my e-mails and cannot see any e-mail giving me a membership number or anything.
  • I've just found out that I've been caught in this too - apparently, when I ordered business cards from Vistaprint, I may have clicked on a pop up to receive £10 off my next order. As a consequence, I have been paying £8 a month to an organisation called shopperdiscounts.co.uk for the last 19 months. I buy a lot of stuff online, so I hadn't really noticed the payments until I stopped using the bank account so regularly. Also, I have no recollection of any e-mails offering me the chance to stop my subscription. I rang Shopper Discounts, and Hannah, who dealt with my call, expressed no surprise and sent me a form to claim all the money back - hopefully I'll receive it in due course. I'm shocked that by buying from one company, Vistaprint, another company was able to rip my bank details just by my clicking on a voucher. Surely, if one doesn't physically re-input these details, it must be illegal, or am I just naive?!
