I presume that was a serious question and not a wind-up. There is no such company as "Widows Vista", that's just the name of a computer operating system owned by Microsoft. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Thank you.
Vistaprint, is it compatible with XP or just vista?0 -

VistaPrint got me as well. In total they stole £252.05!!!
I have done quite a lot of research into who is behind VistaPrint's websites and what else they are doing. What I found out is published here http://www.hubbers.com/blog/index.php/i-got-scammed-by-vistaprint-and-adaptive-marketing-and-adaptive-affinity-ltd-and-amazon
If you can find out anything else like email addresses or names of the managers or owners of these dodgy companies please let me know.
I have set up an online petition stating that Amazon should stop circulating advertising material for VistaPrint. Hopefully if we get enough signatures Amazon will stop doing business with these scammers and we will get them where it hurts the most … their bank account!

If they have stolen from you rather than set up a website have you informed the police? Trading Standards?
Or is it perhaps that what they have done is not in fact illegal?
Questionable perhaps but not against the law.
Many people have ordered from Vistaprint and done so successfully without falling prey to their marketing techniques.
Much has been written on this forum about them as well.
I am not unsympathetic to your issue with this company but it is a case of buyer beware!0 -
I have recently been caught by this scam and had 9.95 taken from my account. This is the first payment to be taken.
I have no recollection or confirmation emails saying that i had signed up for VPrewards.com to deduct 9.95 from my account.
I have since phoned the company via www.vprewards.com and cancelled my "account" with them. They wouldnt give me a refund and I cant be bothered with the hassle of getting the £10's back.
I would just like to know from your experiences, whether this will be the last i will hear from them? or whether i should contact my bank?
I would be grateful for your advice. Thank you.

Without my approval I have had £8 taken monthly from my Egg Money card since 1st of May 2008 for 6 months until it was queried when I telephoned an Egg advisor yesterday. The reference was "Shopper Discounts" and shpdsc.com which I have never knowingly contacted directly online. We are still examining how this has happened when I have additional security online protection with Mastercard. I have purchased visiting cards from VistaPrint online using this card and registered with Easyjet Discount Company when I purchased a flight using my Money credit card on their website in May. It has taken me a long time today to find your warning section which I think should be made more prominent on this excellent moneysavingexpert.com website.0

just been onto vprewards and a very polite lady named PRIYA has promised to cancell my membership and refund me 1 payment of 9.95 this will take 7 to 10 days so we will wait and see she also promised an e-mail confirming that my membership was cancelled after what I read over the week-end how long should I hold my breath0

Yes I'm truly amazed, as I checked my a/c today and wow! I have a refund, not a total refund but very nearly and an email confirming the cancellation of my "dudious" membership.
So great news for me, but I will be watching my bank a/c much closer from now on!!
For those of you interested here's a copy of exactly want I sent:
.hmmessage P !! margin:0px; padding:0px } body.hmmessage !! FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY:Tahoma } This is a request to have refunded back into my account the monies that have, (without my explicit agreement) been taken from my account since "date" and remove any details about my bank account and myself from any database you may hold, be it with yourselves (Vprewards.com) Vistaprint or any other company that is or may be linked to yourselves.
The total amount currently stands at "The money bit" and as of this email I have cancelled my apparant membership with yourselves and therefore would not expect to see any further monies being extracted from my account.
Confirmation of my cancellation and speedy reimbursment to my bank account in full should settle this matter.
Thanks in advance for your speedy reponse and prompt refund.
The above email was sent to enquiries@vprewards.com on 29.09.08 and resulted in a refund in quite a short time.
So keep it short, keep factual and keep it polite.
Hope this helps others.

This happened to my partner, even though he's very careful about reading the small print when online shopping. However, when he got the email about it immediately after placing the order, saying you have 30 days to cancel, he immediately sent a reply cancelling it. They still took out the money. He then complained twice to Vistaprint asking for a refund of the money, but they continued taking it out. As he paid by debit card, he went to the bank with a printout of his email cancelling it, and the bank immediately refunded his money, blocked any further payments and said they would take it up with Vistaprint directly.0
